2. • Throughout my magazine I se a colour scheme of cream, purple, white and
black, I think this works well because it’s a neutral colour scheme so it wont
alienate either sex.
• The purple and cream combination in the mast head works well because of
the light colour on top of a darker colour makes it stand out so the
magazine is easily recognisable.
• I think uses white text on the cover works well because it stands out more
from the background and makes the cover lines easier to read at a distance
so they stand out right away when looking at the magazine.
• I used a colour scheme on my magazine because it makes the magazine
look like it all fits together and readers of the magazine will just notice the
magazine from the colours.
3. • All the images I have used in my magazine relate to the genre of the
magazine, for example the cover model is dressed as the typical indie person
would dress.
• I think my images work well because they represent the target audience
which would make it more attractive to the people who the magazine is
aimed at.
• Also the use of the images of the vinyl and CD will attract the audience
because the age group of my target audience is quite large so both the older
and younger side of the audience will have something that appeals to them.
• The use of natural backgrounds instead of studio backgrounds in my images
will attract the audience more because I think having the natural is a lot more
interesting that a plain studio background.
4. • I think the covers line on my magazine will attract the audience because
they are all about bands that fit the genre of the magazine.
• Also, there is an age range in the bands so the older bands will attract the
older side of my audience and the same will happen for the younger side of
my audience
• The cover lines that aren’t about bands are about thing that will attract
anyone who is interested in music, for example the ‘top 20 artist of the
decade’ will attract my whole target audience because there will be artists
on there for both generations of my target audience.
5. • I think my mast head will attract my audience because it is
in neutral colours and they stand out well against each
other.
• Also, it is a very short title so will be very noticeable at a
glance, so when the readers are looking though magazine
stands the mast head will be the first thing they see.
• Having the mast head follow generic conventions will
attract the audience because magazines of a similar genre
use the same type of mast head and it will be easily
recognisable as being part of that genre.
