It fits in their portfolio of brands because Bauer already have an existing music magazine (Q) which is highly
successful but only focuses on generic music like Rock, Pop and a small bit of Hip-Hop whereas Rap Sons
specialises in Hip-Hop music only. Rap Sons could be incorporated into Q Magazine as an additional
magazine or as a standalone release as its own magazine.
Rap Sons could have its own TV channel or radio station like Kerrang , Kiss and Magic have.
What different niche audiences do they target?
People who watch TV, interested in updates in the music industry, vehicles, women’s weeklies.
Also targets people in their teens all the way up to old people.
How would that institution be able to help your magazine be successful?
They will have the funding for production and advertisement which will help the magazine take off and make
money.
