2. It is a loosening of the vaginal tissues ( including the outer and
inner vaginal canal).

3. CAUSES:
• Vaginal delivery,
• Prolonged labor stage 2,
• Sexual trauma,
• Menopause,
• Multiple sexual partners,
• Decreased estrogen caused by health issues,
• A history of prolonged sexual activity,
• Genetics that determine the physical structure of the
vagina.

4. SIGNS & SYMPTOMS:
• Decreased ability to experience an orgasm and sexual
satisfaction,
• Loss of sensation during sexual intercourse,
• Insufficient lubrication,
• Urinary incontinence.

5. DIAGNOSIS:
• By taking a thorough history,
• Genital physical examination.

6. TREATMENT:
•Non- surgically: laser or radio frequency energy,
•Surgically: vaginoplasty,
•Physiotherapy management: pelvic floor strengthening &
Kegel exercises.
