• Apply your work/skills to the interview i.e. how they

5. • TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF!
• Describe a difficult work situation/project and how you overcame it
• Give me examples of when you demonstrated skills such as:
- Team working
- Organisation
- Time management
- Problem solving
- Leadership
- Initiative
- Communication

6. • Don’t rush
• Don’t be afraid to ask questions
- This can include asking them to repeat the question
• Explain your answers – use examples
• Keep focused on the question
• Be enthusiastic
• Try and enter into a conversation
• When you ask questions listen to the answers and respond
• Think about how you present yourself – body language

8. • Having an interview is a two way process
• You must prepare questions to ask the interview panel
• Don’t ask questions that you should know the answer to already
• Questions you could ask:
- What do you like most about your job?
- What’s the atmosphere like?
- How would you describe your company in one word?
There are so many questions you can ask! Pick the ones you
think fit in well with the job/interview

9. Leave as you came in
• Smile
• Handshake
• Eye contact
• Thank them for their time
• After receiving a reply (e.g. via email/telephone) thank
them for their time and effort
