2. WHAT DID YOU ENJOY ABOUT OUR ROUGH CUT FOR OUR MUSIC VIDEO?
• People enjoyed the narrative and the use of effects so I will keep this the same when editing for the final cut. One
comment highlighted on the professionalism of the video and another stated that Ranique’s performance was
effective in which shows we chose the right person to portray Jessie J.
3. WHAT DO YOU FEEL THAT WE CAN IMPROVE FOR OUR FINAL CUT FOR OUR MUSIC VIDEO?
• People felt the end scene of the girl walking in Trafalgar was a bit long so I will shorten this down by
replacing some of the footage with the panning of the pictures in which is a recurring them for our video.
Also, we will need to film a scene to fill up the blank spaces to show how the girl got the crutches.
4. DO YOU FEEL IT REPRESENTS EXISTING JESSIE J VIDEOS?
• The majority of our participants states that
this video represents what Jessie J usually
does. One comment even picked up on
our Intertextual reference to ‘Who’s
Laughing Now’ in which features a
younger version of Jessie J in which we
have replicated this theme in ours.
• Another person commented on the
editing style I had used to replicate what
Jessie J does as in her videos she uses
quick cuts and transitions.
5. IS THE STORYLINE CLEAR BASED ON THE FOOTAGE YOU SEE IN THE VIDEO?
• People said the narrative was clear
even though at this stage we hadn’t got
all of our footage filmed. However, as
mentioned before we will film relevant
bits to show how the girl ends up with
her crutches.
• I will also take out some of the bed
scene to make sure it doesn’t look like
she wants to commit suicide.
6. OUT OF 10 (10 BEING THE BEST AND 0 BEING THE WORST) WHAT WOULD YOU RATE OUR VIDEO?
• Overall we have received positive ratings for our video showing that our product has appealed
to our target audience that we highlighted in our first survey this year which is females aged
16-19.
