5. Conventions of Dance MusicVideos
The music genre dance has a freedom when it comes to the convention sides of things as
its in the genre name ‘Dance’ mainly music videos tend to have a Narrative that isn’t
always connected to the lyrics of such, recently there has been many artists that have
been making a narrative in recent history of DanceVideos, Avicii demonstrates this in his
songThe Nights as he showcases lyric by lyric on what it is from a perspective. Usually
there is a drop in the middle after the chorus of the song and mainly the whole song has a
upbeat to it. MostVideos have bright colours and a clear meaning towards the song as the
artist is in charge of how they want it to be which will present them in a good way like
present there personal image to the public / there audience.
