NTRODUCTION:
With the outbreak of novel coronavirus-2 (nCoV-2) declared a pandemic and an international
public health emergency by the World Health Organization (WHO), the entire world is working to
address it. It is a rapidly evolving and emerging situation.

3. The COVID-19 pandemic in Bangladesh is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus
disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-
CoV-2). The virus was confirmed to have spread to Bangladesh in March 2020. The first three
known cases were reported on 8 March 2020 by the country's epidemiology institute, IEDCR..

With almost every country adopting aggressive non-therapeutic
measures to control the spread of nCoV-2, Bangladesh in
Southeastern Asia has followed the same trend.

pandemic. Furthermore, sample collection tools were not standardized, not adequate
and not correct either.

The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the partial lockdown, the disease intensity, weak
governance in the healthcare system, insufficient medical facilities, unawareness, and the
sharing of misinformation in the mass media has led to people experiencing fear and anxiety.

Preparedness is the key to addressing any health crisis, and
so far, Bangladesh, as a lower-middle-income country, has
numerous limitations in restricting the spread of the virus
