3. FINAL COMMENTS:
What went well:
It was a very well-organized lesson. There was a variety of activities which were led effectively.
Pupils were highly motivated with all the resoruces Lujan created and they loved the game.
She used English all the time and provided suitable scaffolding. Excellent Use of English and
pronunciation/intonation.
Her classroom management skills are excellent. She coudld eal with the four eltter word incident
politely but firmly.
What could be improved:
Many students do not have colour pencils or even sheets of paper to work on. Providing them
with photocopies could be a solution. Having a box of pencils to lend them could help as well.
If they do not have photocopies they need a lot of tiem to write, that you provided very well but
still it could be solved with copies.
If there is a chant, like in activity 3, rehearse it with the whole group so that they may sing
altogether afterwards.
Question for reflection:
Your class was great, yet you should try to overcome your shyness. What could you do to
improve this? Breathing exercises may help. Did you feel very nervous at being observed?
How can we help you?
