i have now moved forward to planning my photo shoot. This 45 minute session will consist of me capturing 4 different images that will be incorporated into my music magazine in either the front cover, contents page or double page spread. I will be assisted by a fellow classmate, also taking her images and local photographer visitor who I have organised to come in and help Maxine Hoey.

3. MODEL
I have decided to use Emily Capon as the model in my magazine images. The target audience for my
magazine is middle aged women and possibly men , so therefore I have decided to represent Adele
because her music appeals to this audience as her music is soulful, original and powerful. I have chosen
Emily to represent this image because has thick hair darker hair and therefore after preparation , she can
portray a classical but modern image alike what I was aiming to mirror from the Adele image will be
replicated here. Using female instead of a male in my images I can attract both a male and female
audience because a female audience can be inspired by Adele's casual and more modest appearance and
not be threatened by a woman positioned in a bikini for example. Also a male audience would be
attracted to be this because they would find these images appealing because they can familiarise Adele
and her talent because of how she is in front of a piano with a clear shot of her face, therefore they can
recognise her fame and apply this to want to read on .
4. COSTUME & MAKE UP
In my front cover photograph my model will be wearing a black skater dress with sheer mesh along
the arms and on the upper chest to represent the modesty and classical look presented by Adele. On
my contents page I will have my model wearing lacy sleeved skater dress which will continue this
classical look. On the double page spread my model will be wearing a sparkled pattern body con
dress to give a more occasional look and to represent her preforming on a recognised stage to an
audience . She will be wearing false eyelashes to extend the length and emphasise the eyes in close up
and medium shots along with smoky shadow, and a thin cat eye effect from eyeliner .The lips will be
a nude colour, this will draw attention to the hair and eyes. The hair will be loosely curled and given
volume by hairspray at the roots, and finished with salt spray to add texture and a messy look for my
front cover. The same look will continue on one of the images inside, however on one of the images
I intend on using straighter hair in a loose ponytail falling on one side.
6. FRONT COVER
After further research I found this image of
Adele. I preferred this to the original image I
found because it gives more of a musical
connotation, with the open piano in front of
her and his image will fit the music magazine
conventions. So therefore unlike in my initial
ideas I decided to changed the idea of having
her hands near to her face and go more in the
direction of this shot.
7. CONTENTS PAGE
This is the image I plan on following
for my contents page. This will continue
the mis en scene of Adele's connection
the music industry but also her classical
and traditional approach to her music by
using a vintage styled microphone and
laced dress (also giving a vintage
connotation).
8. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD
These are the images I decided to include on my double page
spread.
The first image represents Adele’s success in the music industry
and her confidence to perform in front of an audience by her raised
hands. Also her sparkled dress would give the connotation of her
performing somewhere sophisticated and therefore in formal wear,
which the audience can infer as her successful career.
The second image is much more relaxed and is a close up of
Adele's face, showing no indexical signs of her musical career. This
shows how my magazine is up-close and away from her professional
life , therefore making the audience more likely to engage into the
magazine.
