1. Feedback Session
Today we presented our film opening to the rest of the class to which they gave feedback on what
we’ve done well and what we need to improve on to make our opening better.
Feedback
The changeswe will have to make will be includingambiance soundat the beginningof the opening
to create a betteratmosphere. We will have tolook at the beginningaswe were toldthat the drone
shotscome and go andit isn’tfluent.Insome placesitwas quite jumpywhichmeantwe will needto
lookmore into our editingandtryand make it smoother,forexample whenCharlie wasgettingback
inthe car, itjumpsfromone shottoanotherandit isa bitoutof time anddoesn’tmatchupperfectly.
Howeverthe crosscuttingshotswe used andthe carshotswe used are reallygood andquickandwork
really well. At the end of the opening when Mason is talking through the phone, a few people said
that it wastoo loudto be comingfroma phone andthisdidn’tmake itsoundlike itwas comingfrom
a phone.We will have tomake itquieterandfindawayto make it soundreal asif somebody were to
be talkingthrougha phone. We were toldthat it wasfairlyrealisticasit isveryquick andthat’s what
it would be like if somebody got kidnapped.
