Target Audience
To find our target audience, we used the UK Film Council documents which includes
demographic information in order for us to research.
In this page of the document, we found out that our filmgenre was mainstream as the
percentage is 50%. As this percentage is really high, we know that our audience will vary
due to age and gender.
On page 106, we discovered that we our primary audience include males who are over 35
years of age and this was 62%. Our secondary audience are again, males however who are
under 35 and the percentage of this is 57%. We also looked at the social class and by looking
at it, we are aiming for people who are more ranged from C1 and C2.
On this page, we looked at the general public’s favourite films and our genre (Action) came
to 22%. However this time 37% came under males under 35. Whereas males who are over
35 came to 25%.
Overall, we discovered that our primary target audience are going to be males who are over
the age of 35. Our secondary target audience will be males who are under 35. All these are
based around being middle class and more looking into mainstream rather than niche.
