First cut questionnaire results
1. First cut feedback
I produced a questionnaire on survey monkey for the focus group to complete regarding my first cut. The
aim of this questionnaire was to ensure that the final cut of the short film is as successful as possible to
ensure that it appeals and attracts to the target audience of the film. The results from the questionnaire
can be found below.
Question1:How easywas the narrative of the filmtofollow?
Question 2: Would you recommended the film to anyone?
Question 3: What was your favourite scene from the film?
Thisshowsthat the 57.14% foundthe narrative easy
to follow and42.36% foundit difficulttofollowat
some points.ForthisquestionIaskedfor reasonsof
choice,the mainreasonforpeople choosing âdifficult
to follow atsome pointsâwasdue tothemnot

clearerinthe final cut byaddingcaptions.
Thisshowsthat everyone whocompletedthe
questionnaire wouldrecommendedthe film
to someone,thisshowsthatthe firstcut

changesare neededinthe final cut.
Thisgraph showsthat the mostfavourable
scene fromthe filmisthe endingscene with
the flashback.The results show thatthere
were 4 out of 6 favourite scenes,this
indicatesthatthe filmissuccessful asit
showsthat there a numberof favourite
scenesbythe viewers.
2. Question 4: What was your least favourite scene from the film?
Question 5: Was the music suitable for each scene?
Question 6: Are there any improvements that could be made to the film?
This question was comments only, not multiple choice. The comments from this question showed that
perhaps captions should be used to make it clearer for the viewer to who is calling Jade. Comments also
included âto make the narrative cleareraddtimingsthroughoutthe filmtomake itsmootherâ,thiscouldbe done by
