2. Overview
Throughout the process of making the
products I ensured to get feedback from the
audience.
I have got feedback from three different
places, A questionnaire on Google docs
Facebook
Youtube
3. Questionnaire
From the people who filled in my questionnaire there were 14 male
and 4 female and thirteen of them were 15-19 they have shown that
this is the sort of audience who like the film and they have been
able to fill in my questionnaire.
4. Questionnaire
The first question asked was whether they liked the film and they all said
that they enjoyed the film.
The second question really was to see whether I had made the right choice
for the soundtrack and everyone agreed that the two soundtracks were the
right choice for the mood of the film.
The last was what they liked and some said the banana part of the film was
funny other said they like the punch and others just eluded to the small
details such as the music I feel these questions have helped me to make a
informed decision on whether the film was good and whether it was right for
the target audience.
5. Questionnaire
From these questions I have learnt that the there could have been
some improvements to the short film. This includes the lift sequence
and some of the sound effects which were used but these are only
minor things otherwise many of the people like the film and only
offered small things to improve on.
The last question was purely on the poster of the film and whether it
was a good marketing tool. Learnt that the audience likes the poster
and they felt that it could be good for the explanation of the of the
plot for the short film and they liked the use of the two sides of the
character.
6. Facebook
I uploaded the video to Youtube and
then shared the link on Facebook
from this I learnt that people really
enjoyed the film and I got 6 likes on
the film. One of the comments said ‘I
think I have just seen the next
James bond’ this proves they
understand that the storyline has
been understood.
The film also has been shared 4
times meaning the film has been
seen by another audience.
The feedback helps because it
allows me to see what people like
about the film.
7. Youtube
I have been lucky also when I
uploaded the short film onto Youtube
I got some comments on it this has
been help for what people
understood about the film and what
could be improved.
Also I have got 5 likes from 198
views of the film this has allowed me
again to see that people have liked
and enjoyed it.
8. Layman feedback
The questionnaire gave me some Layman
feedback on the film and many just eluded to
things which are only minor. In terms of
analysing the responses the questions I asked
really did helped to see whether my work was
good for the audience.
9. Expert Feedback
The questionnaire also gave me some expert
feedback in the form of a filmmaker I know he
explained that I need to work on the use of sound
that the start was an issue with the sound which
didn’t help with understanding the dialogue on the
phone. Also he explained the use of having a filter
would help to improve some of the sequences.
There were also other small things such as the
length of the lift sequence and how I could make it
not as long because it is slightly laboured in the
way it was edited. But otherwise all of this
feedback would mean if I were to do it again then I
would have ensured to do these things to improve
the story and the short film.
10. Conclusion
Overall I feel that I have learnt a lot from the
feedback especially that the short film was
liked and why people liked it.
I also have learnt how I could improve the
pieces on a number of levels and how I could
ensure that all of the way through that the film
is clearly cut is made for the audience.
The audience have been very helpful in my
decision making from the poster design to the
research at the start of the process.
