6. Feedback:
5 said a PG, 2 people said U and 3 said 12
Now the film is completed the hints of sexual
connotations that we included were far more
subtly than I expected and therefore I feel if
repeating the film I would listen to this feedback
and give the film a 12 certificate.
7. Question Two:
What period did you believe the film to be set
in? And what helped you come to this
conclusion?
8. Feedback:
I was happy with the response from this
question a few answered the 20th Century,
which wasn’t as specific as we were hoping for
but everybody else said the 1940s.
Due to this, I wouldn’t change any locations,
outfits or props, in respect to the era, if I was
ever to re-make “Paradise Found”.
10. Feedback:
Minimum number was 5, maximum number
given was 8. Most responses were 5-6
This response would therefore indicate that the
moustache used wasn’t realistic enough and in
the future we would of asked our actor to
attempt to grow a real moustache in this shape
or spend more time looking for a more realistic
alternative.
12. Feedback:
We had a mixture of responses. Most accurate
however the only confusion was whether the
artists aim was to finish his piece of art or
whether it was to propagate the two plants. The
real answer is the latter yet we didn’t make the
clear enough to the audience when making the
film. If I could go back in time I maybe wouldn’t
of put so much focus on the easel.
14. Feedback:
A few responses were that they were unsure to
the genre and therefore were unsure of when
conventions to look for. No one saw any humour
but most said they saw romantic genre
conventions. The boy and girl meet and there is
a problem which means that they don’t form a
relationship. Three people also said that the
ending subverted genre conventions in the
sense that the couple didn’t end up together
15. Question Six:
Did you notice any clear character stereotypes
within the film, if so what?
16. Feedback:
Once again mixed feedback. The artist comments
were:
- Big curly moustache
- Smoking a pipe
- Cluttered work area
- Perfectionist
- Man holds the power
- Eccentric look
(no one commented on the female)
18. Feedback:
Every response to the questionnaire stated that
they sympathised with the rejected female.
This is good as it shows the audience connected
the character and it was obvious that her
intentions were different to his
20. Feedback:
The response to this was the same from everybody
bar one person. They all didn’t know who Magritte
was.
The one person said they did due to the images of
the cages.
As no one understood the intertexuality, it makes
me wonder if our questionnaire was given out to
the correct audience.
21. OVERALL
After discovering the audience feedback I am
still happy with our work. Only a few tweaks
would be adjusted if I re-made the film and I
therefore think this a positive outcome.
