1. What age bracket do you fall into?
15-20 20-25 25-30
I began with asking the age of the questionnaire-taker. This was to make sure that my film was reaching the
right demographic. From my audience feedback, I found that the majority of those that had seen my short
film were aged 15-20. This age group is my key demographic, so it was important to get their feedback. This
also helps when deciding on the age rating of my film. Now I could give it a 15 certficate.

What genre do you think the film and promotion pack represent?
GENRE
Horror Thriller Comedy Romance
From the results of my questionnaire, I found that 75% of the people that asked thought that my film
fell into the Horror genre and only 25% said it was a thriller. I was pleased with this result because the
aim of the coursework was to create a horror film. And despite my film being unconventional, people
could recognise the signs and forms which I included that make it a horror film.
Do you think the music in the production works well in conveying the genre?

The results from my questionnaire enquiry reveal that almost everyone thought that the music and sound that I used
successfully conveyed the horror genre. I was very pleased with this result because the use of sound was a significant
in my production. I developed this convention, thus these results suggest that it was a successful decision.
What did you enjoy most about the film?
• Seeing as this was an open-ended question, the answers varied. I thought
that it was important to gain feedback on what appealed to my
demographic the most. Some of the answers were:
-The discontinuity/ Jump Cuts
-Stylistic editing
-The music
-POV camera angle
-An unfamiliar feeling
• These answers reveal to me that being unconventional, appealed to my
audience because they mentioned everything that I wanted to emphasise.
What do you think about the length of the film?
• This was also an open ended question. The general concensus was
that the length was ‘just right’ and that ‘if it were any longer, I would
not be able to sit through a whole feature length.’ This showed me
that being experiemental and unconventional is acceptable for a short
film, thus the length of my film worked at my advantage.
Is the production title clearly displayed over each text?

The results that I gathered showed me that 74% of the people thought that the production title ‘Walk Away’ was
clearly displayed across all three texts. This was reassuring because when marketing a product it is essential that the
target audience know what it is they are buying into. 26% of the people thought that it wasn’t clearly displayed, this
is a small percentage so suggests that the title is successfully displayed.
Do you think the cover, trailer + poster work well together in promoting the film?
• This was an important question to ask because the promotion pack intergrate to market the production, which
will attract the audience. From the questionnaire, I found that 100% of the people that participated in the
questionnaire believed that the promotion pack worked well. This is a great result becuase ensuring positive
media coverage is essential to having a successful production. However, this was a closed question thus the true
opinions are not clearly expressed abd could have helped with further feedback.

The questionnaire revealed that 100% of the participants were influenced by the review and poster. This is
encouraging because it shows that I was successful in convenying the horror genre. I learnt that the
promotion pack does have a big influence on what a target audience will watch.

From these results I learnt that the majority of people would share this film with their friends. This is an
important question to ask because their friends would most likely extend to my prefered target audience, as
well as a secondary audience. This has led to me to conclude that my film is appealing and that it is worth re-
watching.

  • 1. 1. What age bracket do you fall into? 15-20 20-25 25-30 I began with asking the age of the questionnaire-taker. This was to make sure that my film was reaching the right demographic. From my audience feedback, I found that the majority of those that had seen my short film were aged 15-20. This age group is my key demographic, so it was important to get their feedback. This also helps when deciding on the age rating of my film. Now I could give it a 15 certficate. AGE 15-20 20-25 25-30
  • 2. What genre do you think the film and promotion pack represent? GENRE Horror Thriller Comedy Romance From the results of my questionnaire, I found that 75% of the people that asked thought that my film fell into the Horror genre and only 25% said it was a thriller. I was pleased with this result because the aim of the coursework was to create a horror film. And despite my film being unconventional, people could recognise the signs and forms which I included that make it a horror film.

Do you think the music in the production works well in conveying the genre? 0 2 4 6 8 10 12 Chart Title YES NO The results from my questionnaire enquiry reveal that almost everyone thought that the music and sound that I used successfully conveyed the horror genre. I was very pleased with this result because the use of sound was a significant in my production. I developed this convention, thus these results suggest that it was a successful decision.
  • 4. What did you enjoy most about the film? • Seeing as this was an open-ended question, the answers varied. I thought that it was important to gain feedback on what appealed to my demographic the most. Some of the answers were: -The discontinuity/ Jump Cuts -Stylistic editing -The music -POV camera angle -An unfamiliar feeling • These answers reveal to me that being unconventional, appealed to my audience because they mentioned everything that I wanted to emphasise.
  • 5. What do you think about the length of the film? • This was also an open ended question. The general concensus was that the length was ‘just right’ and that ‘if it were any longer, I would not be able to sit through a whole feature length.’ This showed me that being experiemental and unconventional is acceptable for a short film, thus the length of my film worked at my advantage.
  • 6. Is the production title clearly displayed over each text? CLEAR TITLE? YES NOr The results that I gathered showed me that 74% of the people thought that the production title ‘Walk Away’ was clearly displayed across all three texts. This was reassuring because when marketing a product it is essential that the target audience know what it is they are buying into. 26% of the people thought that it wasn’t clearly displayed, this is a small percentage so suggests that the title is successfully displayed.

Do you think the cover, trailer + poster work well together in promoting the film? • This was an important question to ask because the promotion pack intergrate to market the production, which will attract the audience. From the questionnaire, I found that 100% of the people that participated in the questionnaire believed that the promotion pack worked well. This is a great result becuase ensuring positive media coverage is essential to having a successful production.   • 8. Would the review + poster alone influence you to go and watch this film? 8 YES NO The questionnaire revealed that 100% of the participants were influenced by the review and poster. This is encouraging because it shows that I was successful in convenying the horror genre. I learnt that the promotion pack does have a big influence on what a target audience will watch.

This is an important question to ask because their friends would most likely extend to my prefered target audience, as well as a secondary audience. This has led to me to conclude that my film is appealing and that it is worth re- watching.
