Task 1 – Research – Wen source
• Andy Warhol was an American artist, director and producer who was a leading figure in the visual art
movement known as Pop art. His motto was: “I think everybody should be a machine.” Which was reflected
in the way he created his prints. American Pop art was less subjective and referential than it’s British
counterpart, it being more aggressive and emblematic looking.

• Add notes here on how you stuck to your plan/had to change your
plan and why
I made sure to stick to my plan by following the mockup poster I had created. With this, I made sure that my
poster had the same form of layout that my mockup has (e.g. the title being at the top of the page and
having the image in the centre).
However I did add an extra image to the poster. I did this because I thought it would make it look more eye-
catching and look less simplistic. The text I used is quite bold so it stands out easily.

Task 5 – Evaluation – Problem Solving
• Describe three problems you faced in your project and how you
solved these
• 1. I found it difficult to decide on a colour scheme to use for my poster(s). To solve this problem I
researched online different images that linked with my theme and used them to give me inspiration.
• 2 I wasn’t sure how to use photoshop at first but after trying to use different tools /effects on an image I
learned how to use it.
• 3 I wasn’t sure about how to download and install fonts at first, but I was able to learn how to do it after
asking for help and being shown how to do it.

Task 5 – Evaluation – Working with others
• Choose three aspects of your production where you worked well with
your team and this benefited the project
• 1 We worked well by deciding what we were doing to do for our project and compromised any solutions if
we disagreed.
• 2 We also worked well when deciding who would do what job (create what) in our group for the project.
• 3 We helped each other when either someone didn’t know how to do something and/or needed help.

• Discuss the feedback you received from your tutor during the project
and how you used this to improve the project
• The feedback I received helped me to improve my product. I was told
that my poster looked quite simplistic so I should try and make it look
more appealing. I edited my poster by adding more colour as well as
adding additional information that you would see on an actual poster
e.g. Date/time

Accessing and storing information
• Explain where the books/resources are for your area in the LC
You can find books in the LC by looking at the signs that are presented
on top of the shelves. They range from art to photography to film.
• Explain how to take a book/resource out of the LC
• You’re able to take a book out of the LC by speaking to the lady at the
reception desk and scanning our ID card

Accessing and storing information
• Explain where to store electronic information on the college network
• You can store electronic information on the college network through OneDrive, which can be accessed
through your college email. You can save work as well as send it to other people.
• Explain where you upload work when it is completed
• When work is completed, you publish it onto your blog (www.blogger.com). You also upload it to SlideShare
(LinkedIn).

• What makes it hard for you to study?
• I find it hard to study when there are a lot of people in the room
making noise. I also find it hard to study when I am being distracted
by others.
• What strategies do you think would benefit your studies?
• I think that listening to music will help benefit my studies because i
won’t be able to get distracted so easily.

  • 5. Task 1 – Research – Wen source • Andy Warhol was an American artist, director and producer who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as Pop art. His motto was: “I think everybody should be a machine.” Which was reflected in the way he created his prints. Task 2a – Idea Generation [individual] Pop Art What is Pop Art? - How did it become so popular - Famous artists that created Pop Art (e.g. Andy Warhol) Time/date: Location: Title: (single word) Use colours such as; Red, Blue and Yellow. (bright colours) To make it stand out. Use already existing art pieces (from Andy Warhol etc…) as inspiration for own work. Use bold fonts to attract attention. Should be cartoony and colourful - (could use examples from already existing pieces as inspiration) EXIBITION EXIBITION EXIBTION EXIBITION EXIBITION Examples of text that can be used:

  • 9. Task 2b – Action Plan/Schedule 3.1 • Add notes here on how you stuck to your plan/had to change your plan and why I made sure to stick to my plan by following the mockup poster I had created. With this, I made sure that my poster had the same form of layout that my mockup has (e.g. the title being at the top of the page and having the image in the centre). However I did add an extra image to the poster. I did this because I thought it would make it look more eye- catching and look less simplistic. The text I used is quite bold so it stands out easily.

  • 13. Task 4 – Production/Final Products • Include a link to your blog where you have posted this PP and your final products – the post on your blog should be titled ‘Induction Week Project’ 3.2 3.4
  • 14. Task 5 – Evaluation – Problem Solving • Describe three problems you faced in your project and how you solved these • 1. I found it difficult to decide on a colour scheme to use for my poster(s). To solve this problem I researched online different images that linked with my theme and used them to give me inspiration. • 2 I wasn’t sure how to use photoshop at first but after trying to use different tools /effects on an image I learned how to use it. • 3 I wasn’t sure about how to download and install fonts at first, but I was able to learn how to do it after asking for help and being shown how to do it. 3.3

Task 5 – Evaluation – Working with others • Choose three aspects of your production where you worked well with your team and this benefited the project • 1 We worked well by deciding what we were doing to do for our project and compromised any solutions if we disagreed. • 2 We also worked well when deciding who would do what job (create what) in our group for the project. • 3 We helped each other when either someone didn’t know how to do something and/or needed help. 1.2b

Task 5 – Evaluation - Feedback • Discuss the feedback you received from your tutor during the project and how you used this to improve the project • The feedback I received helped me to improve my product. I was told that my poster looked quite simplistic so I should try and make it look more appealing. I edited my poster by adding more colour as well as adding additional information that you would see on an actual poster e.g. Date/time 3.5

Task 5 – Evaluation Accessing and storing information • Explain where the books/resources are for your area in the LC You can find books in the LC by looking at the signs that are presented on top of the shelves. They range from art to photography to film. • Explain how to take a book/resource out of the LC • You’re able to take a book out of the LC by speaking to the lady at the reception desk and scanning our ID card 2.1

Task 5 – Evaluation Accessing and storing information • Explain where to store electronic information on the college network • You can store electronic information on the college network through OneDrive, which can be accessed through your college email. You can save work as well as send it to other people. • Explain where you upload work when it is completed • When work is completed, you publish it onto your blog (www.blogger.com). You also upload it to SlideShare (LinkedIn). 2.1

  • 21. Task 6 - How do you learn best? • What makes it hard for you to study? • I find it hard to study when there are a lot of people in the room making noise. I also find it hard to study when I am being distracted by others. • What strategies do you think would benefit your studies? • I think that listening to music will help benefit my studies because i won’t be able to get distracted so easily. 1.1
