2. Task 1 - Research 2.4
Here I did note taking on the
different art movements for
the poster for the art expo
we’re doing so I can choose
which movement seem to
interest me the most
3. Task 1 – Research – Web source
• Title: Op art (short for optical art)
• Link: https://www.tate.org.uk/art/art-terms/o/op-art
• framework is made from geometric forms as the basis of its effects
and drew on colour theory and the physiology and psychology of
perception
• Artist: Bridget riley, Jesus Rafael Soto and victor Vasarely. Vasarely
was on the originator of op art
• it started in the 1960s
• Some op art styles are called: kinetic art

4. Task 1 – Research – Web source
• Background: The Op art movement was driven by artists who were interested in investigating
various perceptual effects. Some did so out of sheer enthusiasm for research and experiment,
some with the distant hope that the effects they mastered might find a wide public and hence
integrate modern art into society in new ways. Rather like the geometric art from which it had
sprung, Op art seemed to supply a style that was highly appropriate to modern society

5. Task 1 – Research – Book source
Book title/Author + Library location:

2.3
Here are some pictures that contain optical
art from multiple artists that had influence
in this type of art style
The images also play tricks on the eyes making us think their moving in
different directions like the image above looks like a stairway focusing
downwards to the white abyss
So of the images I've chosen have colour in them so its stands out more
to the audience and makes it look 3D type like its bursting of the page it
catches the people walking by attention and make them look at it

7. Task 2a – Idea Generation [individual]
• 1. one idea I had is using is the colour spectrum from the art
movement as the background and text
• Also to place some of the work within the chosen art chose within the
poster so the target audience know what to expect when going
• Using a different font as the title something bold and stands out to
the public like eye catching so ill go on dafont to look at some fonts
that fit in the topic
8. Task 2a – Idea Generation [group]
• We’re planning on using
this font for the art poster
project
• Title idea for the poster is
phantasmagoria
• The poster will be a A3
portrait sized
• The poster will contain
few images and basic info
of what op art is/what's in
the expo
• Dates and times
• Different artist in a
section of the poster
The chosen title font
9. Task 2b – Action Plan/Schedule
Session Activity Who is responsibile
1 Gather resources 30-45mintures (fonts and images) All the members
2 Make a test poster first (trail and error) All of the members
3 make final poster Me
4 Making poster All members
5 Make improvement to the poster if needed
6 Power point work
7 Evaluation
3.1
10. Task 2b – Action Plan/Schedule
3.1
• I will gather research and resources like photos and information to
place within the poster and how to layer it all out so it isn't crammed
together
• Also I will use my time well and decide what I do at what time and to
make sure everything is done
• Ill screenshot my process as I work on my poster so I can record and
write what I did and those point
•
11. • Use these slides to show your
planning of your products, think
about structure and the components
for each product [evidence for this
may include storyboards, flat plans,
sketches, etc]

12. Task 2c – Planning 3.2
Resources-images for the
poster
13. Task 4 – Production/Final Products 3.2
3.4
1. First I made a
background on the the
colors op art is based in
black and white and used
the gradient tool on one
half because I know the
other half will be white
so I sectioned the area to
have the same effect on
both sides instead of one
• 2. next I added a the
title with a font I
downloads (sammies
sand serif) and placed
it at the top Centre so
it would stand out
more
• Then I added a picture
at the Centre of the
page
3. here I I changed the
middle section to a
maroon color because it
seems to stand out with
the black and white
background
I used the smudge tool
to merge the black and
the red so it would get
rid of the white left
over from when I added
the gradient i made
sure it blended in well
by easing the bit that go
over
14. Here I added some pictures
and sectioned off parts of the
poster for certain bit of the
poster like text boxes and
added the date and the artist
that are well known for op art
to show what the expiation
will contain
Here I used the gradient tool
on the artist section I chose
three colors the grey from the
top section and the maroon
from the bottom section so
that the rectangle blends in
with its surroundings and
white so that the text can
stand out more
Here I added a description on
op art so people who don’t
know what that is and are
interested in coming along and
know what to expect when
they come along
I added more photos here to
add a bit more color and
examples to the audience
viewing this so they can get
more of what type of different
op art there instead just one
type I angled them on
rectangle in the middle to add
a type of style to the poster
make it stand out more
15. Here I added what the expiations is about
with the topic and what it is also added a
drawing of an op art to mix up digital based
and paper based so people can get a better
understanding of what optical art be.
Then added some info of when op art came
into the world and who started it
Here I got rid of the background of the
image that’s located o the left of the
poster so I can enlarge it and it wont
cover anything with the background
and place it behind the different layers
16. Task 4 – Production/Final Products
Final Products
This is the final outcome of my poster I
made
17. Task 5 – Evaluation – Problem Solving
• Describe three problems you faced in your project and how you solved
these
• 1. I missed some point in the power point so I went back and did those so I
can do them before I forget
• 2. I didn't’t finish the note sheet at the back so I went back and finished it
and added some info
• 3. I didn’t know how to scan photos on the printer but I used my phone to
take a picture instead and emailed it myself as an alternative way of
sending me the paper
3.3
18. Task 5 – Evaluation – Working with others
• Choose three aspects of your production where you worked well with
your team and this benefited the project
• 1. we engaged well together saying our different ideas and see what
we could come up with together
• 2. we also split into groups to do different research so we can get the
resources quicker and move on to the final project
• 3. we also shared what we liked and wanted on the poster so we
could make something that would look nice when finished
1.2b
19. Task 5 – Evaluation - Feedback
• Discuss the feedback you received from your tutor during the project
and how you used this to improve the project
3.5
20. Task 5 – Evaluation – Active Engagement

used it in this project
