• Op art is short for optical art, it is a visual art that uses a lot of optical
illusions and is very abstract
• Op art works are abstract, with many better known pieces created in
black and white. Typically, they give the viewer the impression of
movement, hidden images, flashing and vibrating patterns, or of
swelling or warping.

• De stijl is a Dutch art movement founded in 1917 also know as neo-
plasticism is an abstract art using lots of colours and squares.
• Lots of artists and architects enjoy this
• De stijl is Dutch for style.

• De stijl poster– use the style of art to create different sections to the
poser – in squares different texts/images - lots of colour – eye
catching and modern

De stijl poster using the squares as texts boxes
Op poster , using a black and white illusion for the background
but the write in black and white text boxes with black and
white colored font to add to the creativity of the op art

• Mood board – This is the kind of poser ill be going for but with more
information on about the movement.

This is how my poster came
along, using the shape tool to
draw different sized shapes but
making it look irregular on
purpose to give it an abstract
look, I used vibrant colours to
catch attention.
The poster is simplistic but looks
complicated, I chose the black
between all the other colours to
make them stand out and pop
more

Used the squares as different text
boxes, trying to space text about to
keep the eyes wondering round the art
and taking it all in for the information.
I chose to put only the main
information on, for example I chose a
date time and location to put on, a title,
what kind of art and where its from and
also just a short description of the art,

Task 5 – Evaluation – Problem Solving
• 1 I HAD NOT USED THE RIGHT FONT SO I WENT THROUGHT AND
CHANGED IT ALL SO IT WAS CORRECT TO THE GUIDELINES.
• 2 Didn't’t know what to put on it information wise, so I checked the
guidelines and put the appropriate things on hen had a loo at some
other posters and had a look what they had on.

Task 5 – Evaluation – Working with others
• 1 lots of the same kind of ideas making it easier to agree on a final
idea together.
• 2 jobs got done faster and everything is done better as each person
ha a single job and nothing is rushed.
• 3 get on well and no arguing which means there are no distractions or
anything delaying the final product.

Task 5 – Evaluation - Feedback
• My tutors feed back was to use a colour pallet closer
to the arts, blue red yellow and white, I used this by
going in and changing some of the colours to flow
and look a better match.

Task 5 – Evaluation – Active Engagement
• Active learning involves providing opportunities for students to
meaningfully talk and listen, write, read, and reflect on the content,
ideas, issues and concerns of an academic subject
• I used this by working with others to create this poster about a type of
art, talking and listening about the art and ideas for a poster and then
reflecting on what we all have said.

Accessing and storing information
• Explain where the books/resources are for your area in the LC
• Round the left side on the corner. 770 92 mcl book code
• Explain how to take a book/resource out of the LC
• Find a book your wanting to use and take it or them to the desk, make
sure you got your student card with you and they will sort the rest out
for you.

Accessing and storing information
• Explain where to store electronic information on the college network
• One drive and office 365 is in our student email letting us access
microsoft word and power point and many more from home and
college, also lets us store work.
• Completed work is up loaded to our blogs on blogger.com for any
assessor to see with the link the the blog you can see all our work
online.

  • 5. Task 2a – Idea Generation [individual] • De stijl poster– use the style of art to create different sections to the poser – in squares different texts/images - lots of colour – eye catching and modern
  • 6. Task 2a – Idea Generation [group] De stijl poster using the squares as texts boxes Op poster , using a black and white illusion for the background but the write in black and white text boxes with black and white colored font to add to the creativity of the op art

  • 8. Task 2b – Action Plan/Schedule 3.1 • Mood board – This is the kind of poser ill be going for but with more information on about the movement.
  • 9. Task 2c – Planning 3.2 This is how my poster came along, using the shape tool to draw different sized shapes but making it look irregular on purpose to give it an abstract look, I used vibrant colours to catch attention. The poster is simplistic but looks complicated, I chose the black between all the other colours to make them stand out and pop more
  • 10. Task 2c – Planning 3.2 Used the squares as different text boxes, trying to space text about to keep the eyes wondering round the art and taking it all in for the information. I chose to put only the main information on, for example I chose a date time and location to put on, a title, what kind of art and where its from and also just a short description of the art,

Task 5 – Evaluation – Problem Solving • 1 I HAD NOT USED THE RIGHT FONT SO I WENT THROUGHT AND CHANGED IT ALL SO IT WAS CORRECT TO THE GUIDELINES. • 2 Didn't’t know what to put on it information wise, so I checked the guidelines and put the appropriate things on hen had a loo at some other posters and had a look what they had on. 3.3

Task 5 – Evaluation – Working with others • 1 lots of the same kind of ideas making it easier to agree on a final idea together. • 2 jobs got done faster and everything is done better as each person ha a single job and nothing is rushed. • 3 get on well and no arguing which means there are no distractions or anything delaying the final product. 1.2b
  • 15. Task 5 – Evaluation - Feedback • My tutors feed back was to use a colour pallet closer to the arts, blue red yellow and white, I used this by going in and changing some of the colours to flow and look a better match. 3.5

Task 5 – Evaluation – Active Engagement • Active learning involves providing opportunities for students to meaningfully talk and listen, write, read, and reflect on the content, ideas, issues and concerns of an academic subject • I used this by working with others to create this poster about a type of art, talking and listening about the art and ideas for a poster and then reflecting on what we all have said. 1.2a

Task 5 – Evaluation Accessing and storing information • Explain where to store electronic information on the college network • One drive and office 365 is in our student email letting us access microsoft word and power point and many more from home and college, also lets us store work. • Completed work is up loaded to our blogs on blogger.com for any assessor to see with the link the the blog you can see all our work online. 2.1
