WHAT IS POP ART
Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the UK and USA during the mid
to late 1950’s.
The movement presented a challenge of fine arts by including popular and
mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane cultural
objects in the art form.
Our task is to create a poster advertising a art exhibition on our chosen
style of pop art, in groups we have been told to research and plan out our
poster then create them separately with appropriate evidence of our
processes. Then we have been asked to submit and do an evaluation of our
work and see if it is suitable for what was asked for.
Task 1 – Research – Web source
• FAMOUS POP ART PEICES
• The marriage of Heaven and Hell
• Campbells Soup Cans
• M-Maybe
• 3 coke bottles
• Pop shop 1

• Diamond dust shoes

Final Product
• This is my final product ,
The font used is phosphate solid, It includes all the
needed information my poster also includes
imperatives on it to persuade the viewer to attend. It
features pop artwork as the background to give an
idea of the art work that will be on show at the
exhibition. The multi colour arrows around the poster
direct the attention too the title and logo, to make it
noticeable.
The properties of my poster make it suitable for both
hard copy and online. This means it can be places on a
website and be seen by 100s of people daily or on a
billboard or road side too as it has little writing on it
and is bold text witch makes it easy too read. Thus
spreading awareness of the art exhibit and interesting
many clientele.

This version was created using Microsoft Powerpoint
Final product 2 This version was created using adobe Photoshop.
This version of my product uses a bright color
scheme and enthusiastic logo too attract
attention of customers. The bold text on it is in
short sentences so the viewer does not get
bored reading lots of information, its just short
and snappy.
I would improve this version of my product by
getting rid of some of the text as it feels very
cluttered and some is difficult too see with the
font color and background clashing. For
example the “fun for all the family” blends into
the background and is rendered useless.
However there are many parts of my 2nd
version of my product over my 1st such as the
difference in background colors on the left and
right, and I also prefer the 2nd versions logo
over the original as it looks more professional
and less cartoonish than the previous.
Problem Solving
• 1) heat, to fix this we turned on the fan next too us.
• 2) spelling, to help with this I asked my group or used Google too
help.
• 3) book source, we went too the library and took out a book on our
chosen art style.
Task 5 – Evaluation – Working with others
• Choose three aspects of your production where you worked well with
your team and this benefited the project
• 1) research as we worked together to gather ideas and research our
chosen style
• 2) idea generation for project we talked together and came up with
the ideas witch would best suit our chosen style.
• 3) evaluation, we helped each other evaluate our work.
Task 5 – Evaluation - Feedback
• Discuss the feedback you received from your tutor during the project
and how you used this to improve the project
• Good attractive colour scheme
• Looks like there is a lot of movement
• Flows well
Task 5 – Evaluation – Active Engagement
• Define active engagement in your studies and briefly explain how you
used it in this project.
1.2a
Task 5 – Evaluation
Accessing and storing information
• Explain where the books/resources are for your area in the LC
Books and learning recourses are located on floors 2&3 in the library.
• Explain how to take a book/resource out of the LC
• You take your desired book/learning recourse too the desk in the
library, and they scan your ID and the book and you have taken it out.
2.1
Task 5 – Evaluation

2.1
Task 6 - How do you learn best?

questionnaire results in tutorial]: I learn best actively engaging in the
activity and doing what is being taught, I also learn better when
listening to music and am more productive too.
1.1
Task 6 - How do you learn best?

mind and not fully focused.
