3. WHAT IS POP ART
Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the UK and USA during the mid
to late 1950’s.
The movement presented a challenge of fine arts by including popular and
mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane cultural
objects in the art form.
Our task is to create a poster advertising a art exhibition on our chosen
style of pop art, in groups we have been told to research and plan out our
poster then create them separately with appropriate evidence of our
processes. Then we have been asked to submit and do an evaluation of our
work and see if it is suitable for what was asked for.

10. Our plan
• Our plan is to first research our chosen art style (pop art) and then
too gather information on the artists of that style.
• Then we create a design for our poster with the ideas we have
collected though our research.
• Then we will finalise our plan and create our final version of the
project.
• Once we have submitted our work, we will go back with the feedback
and evaluate our work and add improvements if needed.
• We hope to be finished with this process by the end of the week.
11. Task 2c – Planning
This is a sketch of my poster.
Which I scanned and sent too
my email.
12. Target clientele
• Clientele: pop art enthusiasts,
• Location: worldwide ,
• Income: medium-high,
• Race/Ethnicity: all,
• Gender: all,
• Age: all ages welcome.
14. Final Product
• This is my final product ,
The font used is phosphate solid, It includes all the
needed information my poster also includes
imperatives on it to persuade the viewer to attend. It
features pop artwork as the background to give an
idea of the art work that will be on show at the
exhibition. The multi colour arrows around the poster
direct the attention too the title and logo, to make it
noticeable.
The properties of my poster make it suitable for both
hard copy and online. This means it can be places on a
website and be seen by 100s of people daily or on a
billboard or road side too as it has little writing on it
and is bold text witch makes it easy too read. Thus
spreading awareness of the art exhibit and interesting
many clientele.

15. Final product 2 This version was created using adobe Photoshop.
This version of my product uses a bright color
scheme and enthusiastic logo too attract
attention of customers. The bold text on it is in
short sentences so the viewer does not get
bored reading lots of information, its just short
and snappy.
I would improve this version of my product by
getting rid of some of the text as it feels very
cluttered and some is difficult too see with the
font color and background clashing. For
example the “fun for all the family” blends into
the background and is rendered useless.
However there are many parts of my 2nd
version of my product over my 1st such as the
difference in background colors on the left and
right, and I also prefer the 2nd versions logo
over the original as it looks more professional
and less cartoonish than the previous.
