2. Task 1 – Research – Web source
• It was a movement which sought to connect fine art
with the masses and involved using imagery that
ordinary people could recognize and relate to. (Andy
Warhol's Campbell soup painting)
• Pop art derives from artists interpretation of art that
already exists rather then aspects on reality.

8. Task 2b – Action Plan/Schedule
3.1
• Add notes here on how you stuck to your plan/had to change your
plan and why
When I started designing the poster I decided to go with a different
design instead of the one discussed in the group planning (white wall
with pop art design in the middle). This was because I felt like that
design didn't fit the art style. So I decided to test out other design
ideas, which helped me to figure out what looked good.

13. Task 5 – Evaluation – Problem Solving
• Describe three problems you faced in your project and how you
solved these
1. my partner didn’t turn up to a lesson. I solved this by looking at the
group idea page that we did and started to work on the poster
based off that
2. finding photos that fit the colour scheme and layout of the poster.
To combat this I tried different layouts and searched for more
specific things
3. I struggled using Photoshop since I haven't used it in a while, I
managed to get my face this by searching how to do things in
Photoshop on Google.

14. Task 5 – Evaluation – Working with others
• Choose three aspects of your production where you worked well with
your team and this benefited the project
1. we communicated well with each other.
2. discussed ideas for the poster. (fonts, colour schemes, layouts,
destination)
3. we gave each other responsibility. For instance whilst I did online
research, my partner looked up information in the library. This
made researching more quicker and efficient

15. Task 5 – Evaluation - Feedback
• Discuss the feedback you received from your
tutor during the project and how you used this
to improve the project
• I was unsure whether to place the dates under
or over the background (water colour). So I
asked my form tutor who said it looked better
over the background. It helped to have a
second opinion.

16. Task 5 – Evaluation – Active Engagement
• Define active engagement in your studies and briefly explain how you
used it in this project
active engagement is when you part take or contribute to
project/activity.
I used active engagement to do research about pop art and to create
my poster.

19. Task 6 - How do you learn best?
• Explain some of the ways you think you learn best [refer to the VAK
questionnaire results in tutorial]:
• From the VAK questionnaire I found out that I am a visual learner
meaning I should take more notes and do more diagrams. This will
help me to be more productive in my work.
• By taking notes it makes sure that I don’t forget anything important
and also mean that if I need to go back to look at some information I
have the option to do so
• Making spider diagrams also helps with both taking notes and idea
generating because it helps me to remember information and I prefer
that kind of a layout

20. Task 6 - How do you learn best?
What makes it hard for you to study?

• Taking more notes so I don’t forget anything
