I found out that they would like to
see black/dark clothing because of
the connotations which is death and
mystery, also for the female the
make-up they would like to see is
dark eye make-up and this is either
eyeliner or eyeshadow and a dark
coloured lipstick as well.
Audience findings.
I also found out that my
target audience mostly
watch music video every
day, because 83% of the
people I asked answered
they watched them every
day and the 17% said they
watch music videos every
week.

I found out that my audience most
like to watch music videos, spend
time with their friends, going to
concerts, watching TV series and
skateboarding.
By doing an questionnaire before
anything else helped me to find out
who I am appealing my product to
and helped me now what to use
that will appeal.
3. I also found out from my focus group that to make sure my
music video appeals to my target audience I will have to make
the editing of the performance section fast pace so that it fits
in with the pace of the song.

helped me to think of my ideas for my final product. One of the

Doing my focus group helped me mainly to get my first ideas
about my narrative as they gave me ideas about what to put it
and, and these appealed to them.
4. Overall.
By doing all of my research into my target audience it helped me to
gain information about what things I can add to my end product that
will will appeal to my target audience. It also gave me an idea about
who I am targeting my product to and this is more to ABC1 males in
the age range 15-19.
Some of the main things that I picked up on about what is appealing
for my music video is that all the the people involved in it should be
wearing either all black or dark clothing and this is because they said
that they can relate to the costumes as they wear all black as well.
Another thing that I found out my audience thought was appealing was
that they thought having a narrative that was relatable is what they
would like to see, so when I started my planning I made sure that the
narrative I chose was a relatable one so it would appeal.
The lighting that my audience said they would like to see is low key
lighting, mainly in the performance section of the video, because it
linked in with the mis-en-scene.
So to make sure that my final product I produce is conventional
and appealing to my target audience I will use all of my findings
about what they would like to see and if I haven’t already used
them I will add them to my planning.
