1. ProductionConcepts – Ideas.
Idea 1.
In the narrative there will be agirl that isdressedinwhite clothes(toconnote purity) andshe is
sittinginherroom writingina notebookandshe iswritingangry/sadwordsonitto show the
audience thatshe is hurtingand ispretendingtobe someone thatshe isnot whenshe isat home.
Thenin the nextfewshotsthere isherturningupher musicto full blast(thiswillappeal tomytarget
audience because of their demographics) andthenshe getsa tinysmile on herface.Hermother
thencomesintoherbedroomand there isa massive argumentthathappensandthe lastshotafter
the argumentisa close upof hermotherlooksdisappointmentandupset.She thengoesout,
dressedinall black,withherfriendsandgetsdrunkandgoesto a club.Thenshe reflectsonthe
nightknowinghermotherwasrightand thengoeshome toher mother.
Main Settings.
House,Town/Cityforthe club,Performance Place –Darkand abandoned.
Key Events.
Her goingon to the townafterthe argumentand thenreflectsonhernight,andthenthislinksin
withthe lyrics.Alsothe performance partall the waythroughthe is a keyeventbecause ithelpsthe
audience toidentifywhoeachbandmemberis.
Costumes.
The costume at the start onthe maingirl will be white andthenwill change toall blackwhenshe
goesout to showa contrast betweenthe twosituations,andthe blackconnotesdeathwhich
conventional.The costume of herfriendswillalsobe all blackandthislinksinwiththe genre of
music.The costume of the motherwill justbe normal everydayclothes,butitwill be awhite top
alsoto showinnocence.
Make-up.
The make-upof the motherwill witherbe verynatural orshe won’tbe wearinganyat all.Whenthe
girl isin herroom at the start there will be barelyanymake-upwornandthenwhenshe goesout
she will have blackeyelineranda dark lipstickon,thisisthe same forher friendsaswell.The make-
up of the leadsingerinthe bandwill justbe a darkeyeshadow anda darklipstickaswell.
Lighting.
The lightinginthe narrative will be natural andthenat nightitwill be low keylighting.Inthe
performance sectionitwill be low keylightingwiththe occasional brightlight.
Sound.
The onlysoundthat will be usedisthe backingtrack of the songthat I am using.
Camerawork.
I will be usinghighcameraanglesinthe narrative onthe motherto show weaknessinthe situation
and thenthe girl at the endwhenshe isreflecting,Iwill alsouse close upshere aswell toshow
emotion.Iwill alsouse lowanglesonthe bandmemberstoconnote masculinityandpowerandIwill

2. use close upson the leadsingerwhenshe issingingandonthe instrumentstoshow whoplays
whichone.I will mostlyuse mid/wide shotsinthe restof narrative because itisa ‘real life’situation.
Characters.
There isthe maincharacter inthe narrative,withtwofriendsinthe nightpart.Mother.The band
members;one leadsinger,2/3guitaristsanda drummer.
Idea 2.
There isa groupof people all satina fieldlisteningtomusic,playingtheirownmusic,smokingetc..
doingstuff of the rock musicdemographics.Thenthere isashot of the main characterand thenshe
realises thatthisisn’tthe wayshe wantsto live herlife andshe leavesandgoesback home.She then
packs a bag and leaveshome justwalkingpasthermumwhois takingnonotice of her.She getsto
the train/busstationhere she meetsaboyand theystart to talkand theygetsomethingtoeatand
thentheydecide torun awaytogetherbygettingonthe train/bus. The narrative will endof the train
leavingoff andthenthe motherstandingthere releasingthatshe ignoredherdaughterfortoolong
and she has gone forgood. The performance sectionwill be inadark abandonedplace andwill show
all of the bandmemberstoshowthe audience whoiswho.
Main Settings.
Field,House,Bedroom,Kitchen,Train/Busstation,Performance part – abandoneddarksetting.
Key Events.
The girl releasingthatshe doesn’tfitinwithhergroup(fitsinwith the lyrics) andthengoeshomes
and runsaway and thenmeetsaboy andthentheyrun away together.
Costumes.
The costume of everyone inthe groupwill be darkclothingand‘edgy’,thiswill consistof blackjeans
or leggingswithblackt-shirts,shirtsorvestsetc..The maingirl characterwill have a redtop onto
make herstand out inthe crowd,and thenthe boy character will have blackrippedjeansonanda
baggy blackt-shirtonwitha jacket.
Make-up.
The make-upof the maingirl will be dark eyeshadowwitheyelineranda nude lipstick.The make-up
of all the otherpeople inthe fieldisall darkwithdarklipstickandmassive hairetc..There willbe no
make-uponthe boycharacter.
Lighting.
The lightinginthe settingof the fieldwill be natural asitis meantto be a real life situation,but
whenshe goesto the train/busstationitwill be ducksothe lightingwill be naturallylow key.The
lightingforthe performance sectionwillbe low keylightingsoitisconventional withthe occasional
brightlightwhenthe pace of the songpicksup.
Sound.
The onlysoundthat will be presentinthisisthe backingtrack of the song I am using.

3. Camerawork.
The shots that I will use forthe fieldpartwouldbe midandwide shotstoshow everyone inthe
shots.I will use close upsandhighanglesonthe maingirl until she leavestoshow thatshe is inpain
and isstruggling.There will be more wide/midshotstoshow hermeetingthe boy,andthenmore
close-upstoshowheremotions,andclose-upswhenhermotherseesheratthe end. In the
performance sectionIwill use arange of midshots,wide shotsandclose-upstoaddresstothe
audience whoiswhoandwhat instrumenttheyplay.
Characters.
There will be the bandmembers;one leadsinger,2/3guitarists,andone drummer.There willbe a
maincharacter and thiswill be agirl andthenthe mainboycharacter. Thenthere will be agroup of
otherpeople atthe start (teenagers).MotherorFather.
