2. A considerable proportion of my
responses were completed by
females however, I will still aim for a
unisex audience as this will enable me
to reach a wider audience.
The majority of my responses were
from people 17 or younger, which is
good however, I am looking to aim at
my magazine at people no younger
than 16 and no older than 28.
3. Just over half of my responses said
they would purchase a magazine on a
monthly basis which is what my
original plan was. This is because I got
include a range of content and it
wouldn’t be repetitive.
This question was to be mainly help
with my decision on price with regard
as how much disposable income they
will have and the type of people that
would purchase my magazine.
4. Half of the responses said their
favourite feature of a magazine they
currently read was the layout – I also
believe this is key to making the
magazine looking professional and
the text and images clear.
Other responses include colour
schemes and masthead.
The overall price that people would
be willing to pay is between £2-4. This
is a reasonable price which I definitely
will try to stick within.
5. This question allowed the participant to select
more than one answer. The two most popular
responses were regarding images and interviews
being their favourite features in a music
magazine. The close third response was about
including Chart Lists which is definitely
something I was considering and now will look
into further.
One response left a comment (pictured below.)
This is a fantastic response and one I will look
into, the only potential issue is whether it will
suit a POP music magazine.
This question received two popular responses
regarding the amount of text and images I
should use. 5/12 said they would prefer small
amounts of texts and images and 6/12 said the
would prefer more images than text. I am
looking to use mainly dominant images and
possibly an interview but that is broken down
and doesn’t look overwhelming to read.
6. The colour scheme(s) most popular with
the respondents was bright and vibrant or
neutral. I am looking to follow a neutral
colour scheme but due to the responses I
may include pops of colour to brighten
the magazine.
The large majority of responses said they
would like the magazine to have an online
presence of social media which is
definitely something I want to create. This
is so my magazine can reach a wider
audience and fit in with daily life.
