I have in excess of 20 years experience in field sales. Consistently achieving and exceeding
targets, provided with a solid grounding in sales. I have the ability to work independently,

Personal Profile
I was born in Rhodesia and moved to South Africa. I emigrated to the United Kingdom in
2007 and returned to South Africa in 2015.
Skills and Attributes
As a field sales person, I am self disciplined, have to remain motivated and responsible. In
order to close the deal, I am persuasive, and confident, and take a keen interest in the
products I sell.
Education and Training
I matriculated in 1981 (equivalent of O levels). I have attended a Spin Selling course. I am
currently studying towards an NVQ diploma in Beverage Service L2. I am computer literate
with a basic working knowledge of MS Office – Word and Excel. I have daily working
knowledge of the internet and e-mail.
Objectives
My career objectives are to join a well-founded company who can offer new challenges,
responsibilities and potential for progression. In return they will be offered a hard worker

Duties My client base consisted of 40 retail stores and 60 smaller businesses
(nurseries and hardware stores) including major chains. My travelling
consisted of both local and country travelling. My product range
consisted of 200+ line items. I was responsible for liaising with buyers,
placing orders as well as merchandising in stores. Part of the function was
to perform regular stock counts within the stores, known as dispo
maintenance where stock counts would be adjusted and top up orders
placed. I arranged promotions, built promotional displays and provided
product training for store staff. Office administration and drawing up of
call reports were a daily responsibility. I assessed new business
opportunities, through cold calling and canvassing. I handled customer
queries and resolved customer complaints. Another function was to
handle customer repairs and returns as well as assisting in the warehouse
and with stock takes where necessary. My main focus was on building
and maintaining customer relationships at an acceptable level in order to

Activities and Interests
I am a keen road cyclist and have taken part in numerous road races. I enjoy reading,
walking, spending time with my family and watching sport. I also enjoy general gardening
