Tesco Superstores - Dover - April 2012 to May 2015
Accountable for operation of store to deliver performance indicators across four key objectives;
People, Customer, Finance and Operations. I was responsible for over 450 staff which included
the leadership of 27Managers. The role involved regular opportunities to deputise for the Store
Manager. My achievements include:
Improvement of store morale, development and coaching of staff resulting in progression to
management positions, continued improvement of customer satisfaction and quality of service
provision. As a result, I Consistently exceeded against all my performance objectives. I was also
responsible for leading the store through two major refits and most recently supported my team
through a difficult restructuring exercise which resulted in significant changes and job losses

Non Food Senior Manager
Tesco - Broadstairs - May 2008 to April 2012
My role was to improve performance and customer satisfaction in an underachieving department
within a flagship store. I was accountable for general hardware, health and beauty, electrical,
clothing, phone shop and click and collect desk. I improved operations using innovative ideas and
by engaging the team to adopt new ways of working. Within six months, I had increased weekly
turnover by £50k. As a result, many of these ideas have since been implemented across the group
and used to help shape company operational procedures. My reputation for delivery also gave me
the opportunity to deliver refits across the Group as well as two new store openings in addition to
my day job. I also set the benchmark for sales across the company for finance and mobile phone
contracts. My passion and innovation gave me the opportunity to support and coach colleagues
in other stores across the region and I also deputised as group support manager for four months.
Through a coaching and engaging approach I successfully developed numerous colleagues into
bigger management roles.
Senior Non Food Manager
Tesco - Whitstable - February 2006 to May 2008
Responsible for raising performance levels across the non-food Department, as well as improving
staff morale and sickness. During this period I significantly increased sales revenue, particularly
during Christmas periods. A key achievement at this store was implementing associated sales to
further improve sales.
Senior Non Food Manager
Tesco - Essex - June 2004 to February 2006
I was responsible for delivering a major refit for the non-food department which had a significant
unknown loss problem. I introduced new processes as well as security measures to reduce the
loss and as a result increased revenue for the department.
Department Manager
Tesco - Ashford - February 1998 to June 2004I was first appointed a Line Manager of the fresh
food department but grew my knowledge and experience by delivering the role across all areas of
the store including Produce, Delicatessen, Grocery, Wines and Spirits, Stock control, Warehouse
and grocery home delivery.
