2. Step One Firstly, I got a plain black background for the poster since the
genre is quite a dark concept; thus the colour scheme will majorly
consist of dark colours.
3. Step Two Secondly, I added the flames as it’s going to act as part of the
background. They’re meant to represent hell and evil which is the
opposite of heaven (thus working with the concept of the plot).
4. Step Three Next, I combined the picture of the priest with the template of the
cross through layers so the priest is the inside layer of the cross.
This is meant to represent that he’s the priest since the picture is
within the shape of a cross.
5. Step Four The next step was adding the tagline which is shared with other
member’s in my group to follow the continuity that it’s a film poster
for the same film that we’re working on.
6. Step Five Next, I added the film title to the top of the poster. The same font
and typography is shared among the members of my group in
order to follow the same continuity that it’s for the same film.
7. Step Six After, I added the main actors names at the top of the film poster.
This is one of the formulaic conventions that state that it’s a film
poster.
8. Step Seven Lastly, I added the date of the film’s release at the bottom of the
poster so the audience will know when the film will be released.
The same date will also be applied to in the film trailer which links
the two products.
