2. Forms and Conventions Our campaign uses elements seen elsewhere – its key influence may be The Blair Witch Project We used a similar setting, using woods near where we live to create an atmosphere of being lost We also aimed to use one person as the focal point in order to try and single out the victim further The soundtrack tries to develop convention in some ways – the scream at the end is common to horror/thriller movies, but we used no music throughout, only the sound of “The Watcher” breathing.
3. The effectiveness of the campaign The trailer follows convention by leaving as much to the viewers imagination as possible, attempting to make the audience ask questions Use of the poster to impress upon the audience the lack of awareness about who would be next
4. Audience Feedback The audience thought the structure of our trailer was good The trailer seemed to prompt them to ask questions about what was going to happen One of the comments related to improving the sound effects to sound a little more realistic
5. Technologies Easy to film this sort of product, even as a relative amateur Cheap but effective
