2. Style sheet
Potential fonts
Some fonts I would like to include in my game magazine will be.
VERDANA
VINER HAND ITC
COMIC SANDS
Miriam Fixed
The reason why I would like to use these fonts is because they
represent many style of games that I could use and they also could
attract plenty of people, this is good because the more people that
are attracted then more people are going to buy the magazine.
I would like something similar to Miriam fixed as I want it to appear
more technological and refined
Colour scheme
I want the colour scheme to be sombre and elegant, I
would like to use purple as it’s a regal colour and shows
importance. I want the colours to reflect a sort of
importance and serious tone for the magazine, to
appear professional in the medium that it is set in.
art
In my front cover I want to have
images which don’t show pure
violence but rather the intent for it, I
want an heir of mystery as to what
the reader is looking at and draw
them into wanting to find out more,
for instance, why do they fight, why
is his sword drawn, why does this
one man stand against so many
3. Layout 1
The concept for the yooka –
laylee front cover was to keep
it very child friendly with a
brighter variant on the colour
scheme and mostly non
violent imagery filled with
colour and happy tones, the
point of this design was to
make it family friendly,, the
type of magazine a kid would
go to for tips in Minecraft.
4. Layout 2
The idea for this front cover
was to have it look a lot
more serious with darker
shades of colour and more
cinematic foreboding
images to draw the reader
in. the fonts used are to
make the magazine seem
more retro and the robotic
style of I helps it to fit.
