2. Mind Map
poster
I believe it would be a
good ide to make a poster
for a movies teaser trailer,
quite frequently once said
trailer is released there
will be very simple
merchandise usually
consisting of what has
already just been shown.
An example being stranger
things or infinity war
where the posters were
essentially a mashup of
what was already shown.
Magazine article
For a magazine article I
could have fake
interviews and articles
speculating and
reviewing the
upcoming film and
possibly use some stills
from a trailer or
specifically taken
pictures.
A short trailer
I could create a short
trailer depicting certain
vague moments which
would give a little bit of a
look in to the plot but
would not give any
important information
away. It would be very
brief but would show a
lot.
3. Mind Map
trailer
For a teaser trailer the
key factors are
showcasing characters
and scenery, after that
there's not much else
substance like story or
development of any
kind, its like a big
showcase reveal but only
the tiniest of tasters.
reviews
Pre cinema release critic
reviews to hopefully get
good ratings and primarily
try and impress and entice
audiences. This is to
encourage more upper
class patrons to watch the
film and to at least show
the product to other
lower classes as we want
to advertise this product.
Shirt design
Design a shirt with
imagery and patterns
based upon my original
product so that profits
can be made and also
when worn will act as
free advertisement. The
information on the shirt
will help spread the
product through word of
mouth.
5. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• Almost all images contain at least one character stood at the
forefront taking up most of the space, the character is usually
shown from at least the waist up however others have a full
image of the characters but these are usually to show off a
signature pose.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• It has changed my opinion on posters as instead of having one
detailed poster there appears to be one for each key
character which could prove to be simple and efficient
6. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept A print based advertisement campaign for an upcoming movie and reviews on said
movie. Through the use of a magazine cover and double page spread of information
on the film.
Type of
products you
would make
• My chosen products would consist of a poster design and the cover and double
page spread of a film review magazine.
What you will
need to make
them
Photoshop, a camera, students willing to pose for images, a printer and a pen and
paper for
Audience Middle class youths and young adults
7. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
Sound track with case and logos. • Seamed a bit small scale and complicated
as I have little to no knowledge of music
and my taste in it is too varied for me to
make an accurate product.
Clothes brand • It would be costly to create and I would
be stumped for ideas.
