Lucida Sans Typewriter
The selection of images chosen are all
fantasy style characters, the tones of
the images go from dark to light
starting with a rainy dark scene and
ending with a bright dry open area.
I decided that text wise I would use a selection for
certain things for instance I would use Lucida Sans
Typewriter for headers on the front cover
The colours I have chosen are picked for
the value of eye-catching qualities such
as red which encourages people to stop
and look. This is because of how we are
raised with stop signs and industries like
McDonalds blaring the colour in our
faces. The use of black is that it can
easily highlight any colours placed on
top of it. Additionally black is a very
popular modern and sleek design.
3. Layout 1
The first design premise is a
simple double page spread
design, where one page is
mostly consists of a large
photo and the second page
has a simple mast head at the
top and columns of
paragraphs running across the
rest of the page.
I prefer this design over the
more sporadic second option
where text and images are
jumbled together however I
do believe that this design
does not show off enough
images of the product in itself.
4. Layout 2
The second design choice
I created was to show off
more images and
information, another
alteration idea was the
chosen images used as
instead of big
adventurous landscape
and setting there is
instead close up action
shots of battles in
progress
5. Poster draft
The poster I would like to design is fantasy
based. With a lot of posters of this theme
they usually include large scale images of
maps or landscapes. Rather than the large
action scenes used in a lot of action
movies.
When analysing map posters there are
usually three different popular designs,
brown faded looking like an old map with
no colour but drawn on landmarks, there
is also a popular design used a lot where
the different landscapes are colour
coordinated based on allegiances and
neutralities, lastly there is a design
where the landscapes are painted
accurately from a Birdseye view.
6. Story Boards
In some fantasy films with big battles, posters are shown using action scenes or
stances from said scenes. In some cases they mash multiple battles together in to
collages or to make some battles seam more spectacular than they are in the
original media for instance adding dragons over an already big battle.

loss of save data and work Save in multiple locations such as USB, hard
drives through emails etc.
being unable to use certain posters and designs Create multiple drafts ad designs that could
then be modified if the originals don't fall
through
Photoshop not working use a alternate platform such as word to
compile how I wat everything to look and
hopefully if Photoshop starts working again I
can begin to improve on this
unable to access the software at college Prioritise all work tat would need to be done at
college first to be sure ha I don’t run in t he
issue
work becoming corrupted save regularly in different areas so in the event
of corruption I can go back a bit.

avoided?

Editor's Notes
Explore colours, fonts and image styles similar to what you want to produce. Discuss all three elements in relation to why you chose them and where you may use them in your project. Go over as many pages as you need to
