2. Process
• for my first experiment I tested
two different types of test images.
a large scale adventurous shot,
and a action shot of a battle. I
used these contrasting images to
help determine what type of
images should be used in the final
product as they are in contrast to
each other. One bright and one
dark, one close up and one further
away etc.
• This has helped me decide that
the type of image I want is bright
and expansive.
3. I tried re arranging the
page so that all the
information was on one
pager rather than both
with a larger chosen image
filling a page
4. In most high end
magazines the text is
kept to columns of three
per page and so in this
page I had re arranged
the text into three
columns with a text size
of 10 pixels. Which is
what magazines use as a
general font size.
5. After testing out some
different fonts I found three
fonts for three different pieces
of text. Which I thought
looked good in a page
together. For the top piece of
text I decided to use the font
minion pro as it made the
page seem more official, for
the title of the article I
decided to use a font called
Ayuthaya, lastly for the main
text itself I used the font big
casion
6. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
• In my final product I would like to make use of
the quieter more mellow images with the
columns of text, when it came to the positioning
of the text I would like to have it with one page as
a full image with text on the other, I do not want
the image to cross across on to the second page
like a lot of magazines do.
