I like this product as there are lots of things about it that I am hoping to bring to my own
product. As my game will be on the mobile phone like this one, I will be needing the controls
to be on the screen like this one. With this product the ‘stop’ and ‘Go’ button or on the
corner of the screen allowing the user to have easy access to the controls. With this specific
product, it has a multiplayer option which you can see with the other motorbikes. The use of
bright and cartoon like colours has improved the game as it will be aimed at the younger
audience and makes It look friendlier and child friendly. The creator has also added in a few
details about the game which I enjoy and hope to bring to mine. Firstly they have added a
map of the circuit so that the
Knows where about in the map
they are and how close to the finish
they are. They have also added the
lap that they are on and what
position they are. It would appeal
to the audience as it is competitive
and is a fun and inviting looking
game. Finally I like the colours that
they have added to the bikes and
that they look customised and
different to each other.
3. Existing Product
This product game has aspects about it that I desire for my game. This is only the main
menu screen of a game call ‘Bike Race’. On this front cover, the creator has used bright
colours to make it really child like. This is because their target audience was most likely
for the younger age. With my game I am wanting to have a single player and a
multiplayer option as this game has. I have chosen this screen shot as this is how I am
wanting my loading screen to look. By having it look like this it will also me to have the
different content settings and allow me to make it look cartoony and child friendly as the
audience for my project will be
of the younger age. This
product uses a dirt bike to show
that the game is about the user
riding a dirt bike going against
players or in a solo mode.
Finally by having the
background set in a wasteland
shows what kind of game it is. It
also helps to set the scene for
the player.
4. Existing Product
This product screen shot follows a big theme of how I am wanting my game to be.
This can influence my track mode and my levels mode. I like the use of bright
colours on the game making it child friendly and fun. This game is also 2D which I
am also wanting to use for my own game as I think it will be easier to make and as it
the levels will be 2D so it also makes sense if the races are also 2D. This game also
allows the player respawn one, this will be good as it adds a bit of a challenge to
play it without having to respawn. I also like that they have added a pause and play
button. This will be useful
during the levels as the user will
be able to stop at any moment
for a rest without having to
restart. Finally I think this will
appeal to the audience as it is
very colour full as it is aimed for
the younger age category. It will
also appeal to them as its not to
challenging and is not
inappropriate in any way .

They are all based around bike racing. They all have
bright colours that stand out.

I shall add in the bright colours and 2D dimension
to stick to a theme and to make it better to appeal
