A short powerpoint outlining the research we carried out before constructing our production company name and logo and why we chose it.

2. This was the initial idea we
wanted to use for our
production logo however,
when we put it onto
PhotoShop, it was really
hard to work with,. We also
figured out that we would
need to change it to a
certain extent for it not to
be considered plagiarism.
Therefore, we decided to
change this and make
something simpler.

3. We didn’t want our production logo too
complex and decided to keep it simple as
our genre was already so powerful. Our
production company logo is a big, red X that
we put into Photoshop and added effects
such as bevel and emboss as well as drop
shadow in order for it to stand out. Our
initial one had a grey background and a
black title, however we decided to swap this
around to make it stand out more and link to
our narrative and for it to look for cohesive.

4. Before deciding on a
final production
company name, we
researched to find
out if it already
existed. We searched
‘X Pictures’ and ‘X
Productions’
however, they were
non-existent. We
decided to name it X
pictures and the X
could be short for
exorcism and X
could stand for
anything which is an
enigma.
