Science 7 - LAND and SEA BREEZE and its Characteristics
Poster
1. Poster.
First off we started by taking images in our spare time whilst
filming as then we had access to all the professional equipment
such as the lights which made the image to be more visible and
as if it were in HD.
2. Poster.
After filming day was over we then went onto creating
our final pieces. For this part we place each image into
photoshop and messed around with it until we created
this eerie look with the male in the background almost
as if he was “stalking” her. After we were happy we
went onto experimenting with different effects such as
the top image where we got an image of a red stripe,
and placed it in the image and turned it to multiply,
opacity and overlay, however none of them looked
correct thus we didn’t take this route.
3. Poster.
This was the trickiest
part as we had to
figure out the billing
blocks different
characters such as
“@” being the
“cinematography by”
However, we got
through it with ease
as it wasn’t that
difficult, however it
did take time.
4. Poster.
We used a website that goes by the name “dafont” and on this website you can have
access to free fonts which people can use out their leisure, and there are some fonts which
you will have to give money to if you were to use them for commercial use. For this we are
using it for personal and educational uses therefore it’s okay to use. This font we decided
on being our final font for each of our products such as our poster, magazine and final
edit.
5. Poster.
After find our font that we are
going to use for our final products,
we then inserted it into the poster,
also using a default text that is free
to use to compliment the title.
Therefore it’s not to extreme and
it’s not too subtle.
We then thought it’d be a nice idea
to add reviews which make our
poster interesting as new viewers
would read it and since it’s a good
review they’d want to see it
themselves.
6. Poster.
After setting up the placing of the
titles, we then asked a member of
the public to give us some feedback
on the poster, and they said that
they are not keen on how the
“Time’s up!” has the blood dripping
down as it gives off a horror feeling
instead of a thriller. Due to that we
want our audience to know it’s a
horror thus we changed it. We also
liked the idea of the stripe going
through the middle as it gives off
that sense of danger. We used other
posters for reference such as “The
Box” as we liked how they portrayed
the movie in a small poster.
7. Final Poster.
Finally we altered
the images reviews
to make them
realistic by adding
another one to fill
up the space and
make it professional.
We also added a ‘ to
the “Time’s up” as it
didn’t make sense to
have it without, thus
we added it in to
make sense to the
audience.
