OBJECTIVE
Design a logo for MAMM (Marcy Arroues Mulville Memorial Foundation).
SOLUTION
After several versions, I created “MAMM” to be the focal point of the
logo in an art deco font. The logo is simple, yet clean.

Adobe Illustrator.
ESS
OBJECTIVE
Design a logo for ESS (European Studies Society).
SOLUTION
After several versions, I created the E in”European” to represent a greek
Parthenon. What makes this logo unique is the fact that the logo is
horizontal, not vertical.

6. BOOK DESIGN
THE SCARLET LETTER
OBJECTIVE
Design a book cover.
SOLUTION
With my selection of the novel, The Scarlet Letter I wanted to focus on the
shame and darkness of the story. Therefore, I used black and red as the
main colors. I chose to use red, because that was the color of the main
character’s scarlet letter that was on her chest.

7. PHONE DIRECTORY
OBJECTIVE
Design a phone directory cover.
SOLUTION
I decided to create a phone directory cover using many triangles, while
placing them in no particular order all over the place to create a
geometric style. I wanted to create a fading look, so I left many of the
triangles more near the top unfilled, leaving just the stroke.

ARROWS
OBJECTIVE
Design a functional shopping bag for a hypothetical company.
SOLUTION
Arrows is a young womens clothing company I created for this project. I
used arrows to highlight the character and style of the company, while
also using brown kraft paper to signify that the company is trendy.

Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
9. PRINT COLLATERAL CAMPAIGN
OBJECTIVE
Redesign a classic book cover and integrate collaterals, including
bookmarks, coasters, a coffee cup sleave, and a table tent.
SOLUTION
I decided to create visual representations of the book through
illustrations, as well as, utilizing the color green. The color green was one
of the main symbols in the book.

INFOGRAPHIC BROCHURE
OBJECTIVE
Design an infographic brochure about my network of relationships.
SOLUTION
I created a timeline based on main events that occurred in my life. Also, I
created a bar graph and a map to better visualize the information in my
brochure.

14. TALICH QUARTET
OBJECTIVE
Design a poster for the music concert, Talich Quartet.
SOLUTION
The Talich Quartet is an upbeat string instrument performance, so I
intergrated strings from a string instrument into the design. I chose
bright colors for the strings to signify that the performance was upbeat
and fun.

15. CONSTELLATIONS
OBJECTIVE
Design a poster on a subject of my choosing.
SOLUTION
I decided to create a poster about star constellations and their zodiac
signs. I wanted the star constellations to be the focal point of the
poster with having the zodiac signs at the bottom. I chose dark navy
blue to signify the night sky and white to represent stars. The poster is
both informative and decorative, as well.

OBJECTIVE
Design a poster for a Christmas music concert.
SOLUTION
I decided to visually make the poster all festive and Christmas
looking by placing different sized circles all over to represent
ornaments. I chose to stick to the traditional Christmas colors of green
and red.

Create a splatter paint digital illustration.
SOLUTION
I decided to design a splatter paint illustration of a lion, by using a
variety of different brushes of sizes and styles.

OBJECTIVE
Create a paper cut-out digital illustration from a character in, Dungeons
and Dragons.
SOLUTION
I decided to create a paper cut-out illustration of Treant, from Dungeons
and Dragons. Each individual detail and aspect of the illustration is in
paper cut-out.

18. NEWSLETTER
DESIGN
ADVENTURER
OBJECTIVE
Design a newsletter using a structured grid and appropriate
typography/images.
SOLUTION
Choosing travel as my topic, I named the newsletter, Adventurer. I
intentionally used a six column grid to have flexibility with the format.
Being able to provide breaks and a visual rhythm between text and
image prevents readers from feeling overwhelmed reading through an
abundance of information.

Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.

20. MASON-DIXON
OBJECTIVE
Design a magazine cover and two feature article spreads. Subject
matter is open.
SOLUTION
I designed a magazine I named, Mason-Dixon. The two articles I selected
are from online. The articles are about country music and Stagecoach
Festival. I took my own images that were about country music. The
layout, design, and typography is clean and in a structured format.

Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
