7. THE ROTEC FIRE
SAFETY CO2
LANCE
APPLICATOR IS
DESIGNED TO
PROTECT
STATIONARY
AIRCRAFT
AGAINST
OUTBREAKS OF
FIRE DURING
ENGINE STARTUP.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
• Optimised for simple use
• Telescopic for easy storage
• Day glow and Photo-fluorescent high
visibilitybands
• Extendable tubular design
• Precision machined by British
engineers
• 4m to 6m optimal range
• Maximized output of 0.3Kgs/Second
• Safety Shock Absorber
• Unique discharge head design
• Outer tube insulation technology
FEATURES THE APPLICATOR
CONSISTS OF:
1. A telescopic tube which extends to 3.6m
(12 feet approx.). To extend the
applicator turn the knurled collar anti-
clockwise, extend by hand to the
required length, ensure the nozzle is in
correct alignment relative to the control
valve and tighten the collar by turning it
clockwise. The outer main tube has a
sleeve to protect the operator’s hands
from the effects of cold on discharge.
2. A trigger valve is fitted near the base of
the outer tube. This trigger valve is
spring loaded to the closed position.
3. A discharge head which has a slotted
nozzle with a circular back plate, and a
three way adaptor, with blank plugs
fitted, giving a choice of vertical,
horizontal and 45o direction of
discharge. The nozzle can be inserted
into an engine bay through the fire
access panel, with the back plate
forming a cover over the panel to
minimize the extent to which the
discharged gas can escape from the
engine bay. There is also a conical
discharge horn which can be screwed on
to the discharge head for dealing with
other types of fire (e.g. a spill fire on the
ground).

Phoenix Automatic Fire
Extinguisher
The Phoenix automatic fire extinguisher
is designed to protect important or high
value assets in an un-manned
environment. The system can be
plugged into the mains or run for up to
90 hours from internal batteries. The
system uses the most up to date
technology to detect flames and can
distinguish between this and a heat
source like a hot engine. Upon
activation the system will automatically
contact pre-programmed numbers and
fight the fire via two discharge nozzles.
The system can also be manually
overridden and operated by hand like a
small fire tender. Built to conform to
CAA category requirements
• Uses standard breathing air
cylinders
• UVIR fire detection
• GSM notification on activation
• Heavy duty broke casters
• Simple reliable operation
• Fold down handle
• 20m lay flat hose
