Main aims:
By the end of the class, students will distinguish the five food groups and know
how to use the grammatical structure presented.
Personal aims:
We want to see how our students reactto our own style ofteaching and also to
know how we feel teaching our first class.
PROCEDURES
Warm-up activity:
The trainee will show students a set of flashcards containing the food items
seen the previous class and will introduce some new ones. Then, she will
present a chart of five different colors in order to teach the five different food
groups and their importance. (10 minutes)
MAIN ACTIVITIES
a) Students will be divided in four groups of five and will receive a puzzle piece each from
the nutritional oval. Then, the trainee will call out a student from each group to put the
puzzle piece in the corresponding place.As they do so, they will have to say the name of
the food in their piece. ( 10 minutes)
