Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Alien Attack
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you
achieve this?
This game is to entertain boys from the age of 7-14 years old. I will achieve this as
boys this age are interested in death and aliens, and will play it out of interest and
because you don’t really have to do much aside from make the alien jump, so they
could play it as they try to relax after school, or on weekends.
Genre:
What sort of product is it
This is a sci-fi game. This is because Aliens are science fiction, aka, not real.
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific).
Does it have a story? If so, discuss it here
My game is about an Alien that feels oppressed by humans and decides to take
action against them as he feels like they are stopping him reach his full potential.
To show this, I am showing an angry Alien that craves to kill humans. The game
centres around the main character, which is the alien. He jumps on the humans
that are stood in front of him, out of revenge. When he jumps on them, they flash
and then they disappear out of sight. When all the humans are gone, the alien has
won.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status,
psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
My audience is boys, because stereotypically, boys are more into gore and aliens
than girls. The boys would be from ages 7-14, as if it was for anyone younger, it
may scare them, or parents may deem it inappropriate for anyone younger than 7,
as there is death in it. This game is aimed at people from working, to middle class.
This is because they will have the time to play the game, and higher class people
may find the game either inappropriate or maybe won’t have the time as they may
have a higher maintenance education than other children.

Research and Planning:
What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final
production?
Where will you use your research and planning in your final production?
My game will be a jumping game, just like the ones I researched, and like my
experiment. Like on my experiment game, and the ones I used for research, they
will jump on characters to then eliminate them and win the game. I will use the
green alien as the main character, and the other characters will be men and
women. These are the characters that will eventually die.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get
sued for copyright infringement?
This game does have a theme of death, so if people are offended by that, or
easily upset by it, they may not want to play the game or have their children play
the game. I will not restrict the game, but there will be strong advisory that the
child playing it is older than 7, such as just before it appears on the screen. The
only people I think this may offend is people with very strong views of keeping
their children away from death and gory, maybe strong Christians of other people
of different faiths. Maybe just religious people in general. I will assure I don’t
offend anyone, by putting a warning in place before the game comes on the
screen. I will also make sure that it doesn’t show anything that resembles blood,
as people could be offended or upset by the sight of it. I am not using characters,
names, or logos of any existing products as everything that has been thought of in
this game are my own ideas. I will make sure I am not making a game similar to
another, I personally do not know of any games like mine. I will not get sued
because my game is completely different from others and not made to look similar
or the same to another game.
