The document summarizes the results of a survey about preferences for a school magazine. It found that most respondents were male aged 15-17 and favored gaming content. Most would prefer the magazine be published monthly with students as the central image. Respondents were split on whether to pay for the magazine or not. The majority preferred a mix of online and print versions with Calibri as the preferred font. Placement in student services and the main reception area were the most popular locations suggested for hard copies of the magazine.

School magazine Questionnaire Results Analysis
1. I beganwiththe usual questonof whetherthe participantsquestionedwere Female orMale,to
attaina general theoryof the answersgainedandthe reasonbehindthem. The biggergender
questionedhere wasthe Maleswith60.00% of the total resultswith the bracketof (prefernotto
say) comingwiththe lowestof 10.00%. I inccludedthisbracketforconfidentialityreasons. The
resultsshowme thatthe school magazine will potentiallyappealtomore MalesthenFemales
howeverdue tothe sample size being smallIcan’tmake thisconclusion.
2. Participantsrespondingtothe questionnaire were questionedwhatpercentage of theirage fell into
6 differentage brackets:10 or below11 to 14 years,15 to 17 years,19 to 21 years,22 to 30 years,
31 to 40 years,41 to 50 yearsandthose over51 years. The responsestothe questionnaire
demonstratedthatthe age rangesof the individualswereasfollow:10or below:5.00% ƒ 11 to 14

the specifiedage brackets. The highestpercentagewas 60%,which was withinthe age bracketof 15
to 17 years, which suggeststome that theycouldbe the potential targetaudience, however
because thiswasn’ta bigsample of studentsIcan’tmake thatassumptionyet.
3. Here I askedwhatthe participantsfavouritegenre of magazine wassoIcouldget an understanding
of whatto place inthe school magazine whichwouldthenallow the magaine toprosperandbecome
a personal preference tothe students. The genre favourite was“Gaming”jointwith “other”with
50% of the total resulsts. The lowestpreferredgenre was filmwith5% of the total results.Thisshows
me that withinthe school magazine Ishouldfavourmore towardsthe gaminggenre, however
because all the othergenresgotat leastone tickI could potentiallyinclude littlesnippitsof them
inside of mymagazine whichmeansI wouldbe cateringfora varietyof targetaudinces.
4. Here, I askedthe partakers howoftentheywouldconsiderpurchasingthe school magaize, soIcould
therefore knowwhen toproduce the school magazine onas specificdate where Iwouldbe
guaranteed consistentbuyers, andnotproduce the magazine ona daywhere noone wouldbuythe
magazine. The results Iobtained showthatitsbestthatI produce the school magazine ona monthly
basis;gainingapercentge of 35% of the total results. The 2 lowestpercentageswere “Daily”and
“Weekly”bothwith10.00% whichshowsme that thiswouldbe too soonforthe audience to
purchase.
5. Furtheremore, here Iasked the potentialtargetaudiencewhattheywouldpreferthe centre image
of the school magazine tobe so itcould be more appealing andtheywouldthenbe more attracted
inbuyinthe school magazine. A majorityof 30% chose that theywould preferstudentstobe the
centre image of the school magaizine,asIbelive itwouldgive themasense of belongingness.
Additionally,Iinsecondcame “Teachersandstudents” with25% whichmeansI couldtheoretically
have little picturesaroundthe outsideof the magazine inthe cornersof teachersandstudents;soI
couldtherefore be meetingthe targetaudiencesneeds.
6. Here I askedthe fundamental questionof whatthe indidvidualswouldbe willingtopayfor the
school magazine. Iaskedthisquestionbecausethe amountof magzinesbroughtinhindshightwould

9. In thisquestionIaskedthe participantsif theythinkthe school magazineshouldbe availableonthe
internet.47.37% votedyesitshouldwhilstamore superiornumberof 52.63% votedno.Thisshows
me that if I were to publish myschool magazine online Iwouldnotbe supportingthe majorityvote
of 52 percent, however, despite this47.3% isstill alarge figure therefore Icouldmatchbothcriterias
by producingthe school magazine onthe interentandalsoona hard copy.
10. Here I askedthe participantswhere theywouldlike tofindthe hardcopyof the magazine withinthe
school whichwouldbe accessedbythe school pupilsandteachers. The highestresponse was
