IN JUST A FEW WORDS...
What has self-care been
looking like for you these days?
Taking 10-15 minutes to lay down, close my eyes, and breathe consciously to reset after mental stimulation overdrive!
exercise, mediation, reading new books!
taking tiktok breaks
sleeping, being with friends
lots of walks with my dog and journaling
meditation, working out, snuggling the kitties
Lots of comfort baking

What makes it difficult
to reach out for help?
#Movies4MentalHealth
feeling like it won't work, helpless
access, money to pay for support
People act like they know everything about Mental Health, but they don't, and
just show stigma.
fear of being labeled

How did you feel?
#Movies4MentalHealth
perspective of needing to be medicated to turn off the real person in order to
function in 'normal' settings. That struck me, many artistic folx struggle with this,
where we love their artistry, but think they are 'off' somehow
It made me think about how our society is a construct that not everyone fits into,
but that doesn't mean there is something 'wrong' with them
Highly sensitive soul
it was beautiful and the message really hit home in a few ways
I felt it stigmatized using medicine to help with mental health

your wellness?
#Movies4MentalHealth
#Movies4MentalHealth
affirming oneself frequently
taking time out in my day to do something for myself

What did you think?
How did you feel?
#Movies4MentalHealth
its the back of my neck for me
upset stomach
My head was wandering
it makes me wonder how many people around me are feeling this but
just hiding it well
anxious, yes, tightness in my chest

How can we support
ourselves and others?
#Movies4MentalHealth
Slowing down and living more simply
Understand that everyone is going through their own battles, and treat everyone with that in mind
Be patient with one another
respecting one another
being compassionate
Validating others' feelings even if our experiences or feelings are different
be a good listener
Actively listening without interrupting, no unsolicited "advice"
