Підтема: Travelling.
Мета:
 activate the use of thematic words in oral and written speech on the
topic;
 develop monologic and dialogic speaking, reading and listening skills; to
develop the abilities of critical thinking and independent expression in the process
of acquiring knowledge on the subject, using various sources of information and
modern information technologies, to develop cognitive interests;
 encourage students to study the culture of English-speaking countries
by traveling.
Очікувані результати: learning and improving the use of thematic
vocabulary and speech patterns, as well as achieving the formation of key and
subject competencies in the lesson.

І. Greeting. Aim.
Hello, children! Today we will have a very unusual lesson. We’re going to speak
about travelling and what you need to travel. During the lesson you’ll have some reading,
listening and speaking practice. By the end of the lesson you’ll know what kind of
information is in a train ticket. Also you’ll know how to buy a ticket. I hope you’ll get the
useful knowledge and much fun.
II. Warming up.
2.1 Answer a question:
What means of transport can people use while travelling?
2.2 Interactive exercise (match pictures and words)

III. Main part.
3.1 Speaking.
Have you ever travelled by train? What will you do before travelling? You can see
some pictures to help you.
You may begin your answer «In my opinion, I …».

3.2 Reading.
- Look at this ticket and mini-timetable, read carefully some information on them.
You have two minutes (додаток 1).
-Check your understanding: true or false (додаток 2).

3.3 Listening.
Group Work (dividing into groups: who has a black colour on his/her clothes, will
be the first group, who has a brown/green colour on his/her clothes, will be the second
group).
-Pre – Listening Activity (додаток 3)
-Listen to the five airport announcements and do the exercises to practice and
improve your listening skills (додаток 4) 🎤.
-While - Listening Activities

3.4 Pair Work.
Tell your partner about the last time you took a flight somewhere.
-Where did you go?
-How long was the flight?
-Did you have a good journey? Why? Why not?
IV. Reflection.
-Write any new words you have learnt in this lesson.
-Complete the following sentences:
