This English unit focuses on travel and tourism. Students will learn vocabulary related to transportation, travel arrangements, and diary entries. They will practice conversations at a tourist information office. The unit is divided into three sessions where students will brainstorm travel destinations, learn collocations, watch videos, do role plays, and write a diary entry about a travel experience. Evaluation will include observation of classwork, checking writing assignments, speaking assessments, and a self-evaluation. This unit is divided up into 3 consecutive sessions of 50’ each.
Session 1:
Warm up: Brainstorming-describing pictures about touristic places in the world.
Presentation: Present new vocab used when travelling as well as different means of
transport.
Practice: Reading a text about mobile homes

Production: Pair work- Talk about your last holidays with your partner
Session 2:
Warm up: A quiz: Are you ready to travel to the UK (the whole class)
Presentation: Collocations and words used together, eg: book a ticket, catch a train..
Practice: Watch a video (At a tourist info office)
Pay attention to vocabulary used.
Production: Role Play (pair work) with cue cards.
Prepare a dialogue asking for info according to travel brochures at a tourist info office.
Session 3:
