Use a carpenters level
Edging stone , like beach
cobbles is great to make a
boarder or flat rectangular
pavers
Dig holes 6 inches deep to
“plant” large stones
After placing rocks and
lantern or bench, pour gravel
or pea stone or sands
spreading with a hoe
Rake ripple marks or sandy
waves with rake
Prune any plants to scale of
garden compact
