Patriotism In America
Patriotism. How could you even begin to define it? Is it the fireworks on the Fourth of July? Is it the
glory of watching our national team win a medal in the Olympics? Is it an immigrant finally being
able to call America their home? Patriotism is defined as the attachment or sense of pride that one
feels about what they would decide as their homeland. According to many Americans, it s a feeling we
all share as citizens. Everyone has their own definition of what that pride or attachment consists of.
We live within a democratic government; created for the people, by the people. Most would expect our
type of government and patriotism to come hand in hand. Our people must feel a deep pride for their
country when they are the ones who elect who should represent them to the world, right? We choose
who we think would be best at running our country for 4 years until we have the chance to keep the
same person or elect someone else. The people of America are the reason those politicians have
power; the people of America can be the ones who take it from them. We attempt to choose the best
because of our pride in our country and the hope to make or keep it great. There are many instances,
however, that would conflict with this thought of being so loyal to our own government officials. ...

There have been many instances, especially recently, where citizens have argued against what the
government has proposed and fought over what the our founding fathers would have truly wanted for
America. The same people who voted for our government officials are now disagreeing with them.
They prefer the ideals that our country was founded on; Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness as
is stated in our constitution. These citizens sometimes feel as if their rights are being attacked because
of certain popular beliefs and quickly remind others of how our country is to be

Negotiation Theory Essay
NEGOTIATION Negotiation theory Last updated 9 months ago The foundations of negotiation theory
are decision analysis, behavioral decision making, game theory, and negotiation analysis. Another
classification of theories distinguishes between Structural Analysis, Strategic Analysis, Process
Analysis, Integrative Analysis and behavioral analysis of negotiations. Individuals should make
separate, interactive decisions; and negotiation analysis considers how groups of reasonably bright
individuals should and could make joint, collaborative decisions. These theories are interleaved and
should be approached from the synthetic perspective. Common Assumptions Of Most Theories
Negotiation is a specialized and formal version of conflict ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore the parties have contradicting incentives to cooperate or defect. If one party cooperates or
makes a concession and the other does not, the defecting party might relatively gain more. Trust may
be built only in repetitive games through the emergence of reliable patterns of behaviour such as tit for
tat. This table illustrates the options and possible outcomes of the Negotiator s Dilemma. Process
Analysis Process analysis is the theory closest to haggling. Parties start from two points and converge
through a series of concessions. As in strategic analysis, both sides have a veto (e.g. sell, not sell; pay,
not pay). Process analysis also features structural assumptions, because one side may be weaker or
stronger (e.g. more eager to sell, not willing to pay a certain price). Process Analysis focuses on the
study of the dynamics of processes. E.g. both Zeuthen and Cross tried to find a formula in order to
predict the behaviour of the other party in finding a rate of concession, in order to predict the likely
outcome. The process of negotiation therefore is considered to unfold between fixed points: starting
point of discord, end point of convergence. The so called security point, that is the result of optional
withdrawal, is also taken into account. Integrative Analysis Integrative analysis divides the process
into successive stages, rather than talking about

US Intervention In Vietnam
To what extent was US military intervention in the Vietnam War justified? This paper will examine the
causes of the conflict and why the US got involved. The paper will inspect the US relationship and ties
with the different countries and parties involved in the conflict. The paper will also look at various US
policies, such as foreign policy and the containment of communism, and the public opinion of the war.
Effects of the war will also be looked at as a reference, but these effects will not be the focus of the
paper. Both secondary and primary sources will be utilized to provide context and obtain a clearer
understanding of the tension in the war.

The US did not want to help France reinstate colonial rule but at the same time knew that a Vietminh
victory would result in a loss of another area to communism (Gurtov 24). After France was defeated,
the US started to get directly involved and in the Geneva Conference, still wanted to explore more
military solutions (Messing 1309; Schulzinger 72). The Geneva Accords failed to keep the peace as
the US did not agree to its final declaration (Messing 1312). It is assumed that the United States is
bound by the Geneva accords and its actions should correspond with the accords (Messing 1320).
According to the US legal advisor, in this case the US actions are justifiable because North Vietnam
had broken the accords first; however, there is little evidence to support this claim and convincing
cases can be made that say the opposite (Messing 1321). Even if North Vietnam had broken the
accords first, the United Nations Charter article 2, paragraph 4, unlike traditional international law
makes such forcible self help an unlawful means of withholding compliance with an international
government (Messing 1321). While the US involvement in the war is legal to some extent, there is
enough evidence to cause debate in the other

Accountability of Sensitive Items Essay
This essay will be about the importance of keeping the accountability of sensitive items and how the
accountability of sensitive items affects the unit. AR 710 2 and AR 735 5 both cover the Army policy
for property accountability. Some sensitive items are your weapon, military ID card, communication
equipment, etcetera. Sensitive items are anything that can be used by opposing forces or the enemy to
counter attack, weaken forces, and gain information, and so on. People will sometimes get relaxed or
forgettable while not in a combat zone or operation area. If this happens it is very dangerous due to the
fact that enemies are able to obtain any and possibly all of your sensitive items to gather information
or harm you and your unit and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If this were to happen it could jeopardize the lives of our unit and other units as well.
Another sensitive item would be NVG s or Night Vision Goggles. If you misplace or lose your Night
Vision Goggles then you will not be able to see what is going on around you during the night. It could
also aid the enemy in having the same advantages as you would have at night. This could potentially
harm you or your unit.
Maps and map overlays are also sensitive items because if the enemy were to acquire our map
overlays then they would have knowledge of our battle positions, observation points, where the unit is
located, ammunition points and supplies in general. This could harm you or your unit because the
enemy would know your entire battle plan.
All of these items are important to you and your unit because without them you and your unit are not
fully mission capable and able to carry out the tasks given to you by your chain of command. If you
lose one of your sensitive items it can harm your unit and keep you from completing your mission
properly or at all. It could also prolong your mission until you are able to find what has been
misplaced. It could also put you and your unit in harm s way due to the fact that they would be
looking for the misplaced item and not paying attention to their surroundings.

Nicola Sacco Essay
In this world, anything can happen. We can drive, text, and be framed for murder. Yeah, being framed
for murder. That s what happened to Nicola Sacco. We should start at the beginning.
Nicola Sacco was born in the Italian town of Torremaggiore on 22nd April, 1891. He emigrated to the
United States when he was seventeen. Sacco found work in a shoe factory in Stoughton,
Massachusetts. He got married and started a family. Sacco also became involved in left wing politics
and at one anarchist gathering met Bartolomeo Vanzetti, an Italian immigrant working as a fish
peddler in Plymouth. Like many left wing radicals, Sacco and Vanzetti were opposed to the First
World War. They took part in protest meetings and in 1917, when the United States ... Show more

He also named the four other men, Joe, Fred, Pasquale and Mike Morelli, who had taken part in the
robbery. The Morelli brothers were well known criminals who had carried out similar robberies in area
of Massachusetts. However, the authorities refused to investigate the confession made by Madeiros.
Many leading writers and artists became involved in a campaign to obtain a retrial. Although, Webster
Thayer, the original judge, was officially criticised for his conduct at the trial, the authorities refused
to overrule the decision to execute the men. By the summer of 1927 it became clear that Sacco and
Bartolomeo Vanzetti would be executed. On 23rd August 1927, the day of execution, over 250,000
people took part in a silent demonstration in Boston. Soon after the executions, Eugene Lyons
published his book, The Life and Death of Sacco and Vanzetti. Fifty years later, on 23rd August, 1977,
Michael Dukakis, the Governor of Massachusetts, issued a proclamation, effectively absolving the two
men of the crime.
From beginning to end, Nicola Sacco had been blamed for murder. This is the world we live in. A
world where someone can t be free until after death. A world where we discriminate other for being

Events That Have Changed America
The events that occurred in the United States and around the world in 1968 have changed many
aspects of life, for good and bad. That year brought tremendous changes with too many to choose
from; therefore, I chose what I felt were three of extraordinary significance. The first events were the
assignations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy. Both men were public figures and their
untimely deaths had a tremendous impact on America. Martin Luther King Jr. s assignation only
increased the racial tensions and riots in America. (Shultz, 2014).
Robert F. Kennedy s assignation opened the door for Richard Nixon to be elected president of the
United States.
Second, was the revealing of Boeing s 747; it was the largest plane of its time.

Why Death Is Accepted As A Natural Part Of The Process Essay
Similarly, a study taken from the International Journal of Older People Nursing shows that that in one
third of the cases, nursing staff members who were caring for residents who died with dementia
reported that they experienced what they perceived as a high emotional burden (Albers, Block,
Stichele 2013). Healthcare workers in another study reported feelings of guilt and moral dilemma
regarding patient deaths (Dwyer, Hansebo, Andershed, and Ternestedt 2009). In this same study it is
important to note that the participants acknowledged that death is accepted as a natural part of the
process, however it was the circumstances under which the residents died and the employees
employee s feelings of personal responsibility for meeting individualized needs of the residents that
upset the employees the most. Most caretakers enter enters the profession due to a desire help others,
and it is inevitable that they form bonds with the residents they care for. This feeling of responsibility
coupled with the sheer frequency of experiencing the death of residents they care for can in turn
generate depressive symptoms.
What Is Not Currently Known About Depression and Healthcare Workers
Though studies have been done regarding the prevalence of depression among nursing home and
palliative care residents, little has been formed on the healthcare workers that come in contact with
them. As the above referenced study from the journal Palliative Medicine puts it, There has been a

The Osi And Open Systems Interconnection
The OSI, Open Systems Interconnection, model was first introduced in 1984 and was design to be a
model and teaching tool to help better understand the rules of networking that systems must undergo
to communicate. The OSI model consist of seven hierarchical layers that defines the path that data
must travel. These layers are: Physical, Data Link, Network, Transport, Session, Presentation, and
Application. The first and lowest level of the model is the Physical layer. The physical layer consists
of the basic networking hardware transmission technologies of a network (Osi model.com). Here you
could find specifications for telecommunication like types of wired cables such as; copper, optical, or
coaxial. In this layer, you would configure ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The third layer of the OSI model is the network layer and is where the routers and layer 3 switches
would be. This layer is responsible for controlling subnets and deciding which path the data should
take based on certain conditions. This layer is also responsible for IP (internet protocol) addresses, this
includes both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. Packets in this layer identify where the traffic originated
(source IP address) and where it is going (destination IP address) (Gibson 166). In short, the OSI layer
three network layer is responsible for connections, host addressing, and message forwarding.
Protocols that operate on this layer are IPsec and ICMP. Layer four of the OSI model consist of the
transport layer. In this layer, the protocols in this layer provide a host to host communication servers
for applications (osi model.com). Within the layer four transport layer, we have TCP (transmission
control protocol) and UDP (user datagram protocol) protocols. TCP is a more reliable protocol in ways
of guaranteeing the delivery of the IP traffic. With TCP, you have a three way handshake in place,
meaning that when you send a segment you should receive an acknowledgement that the segment was
received. If it was not received, then you could resend. When using UDP, guarantee delivery of
packets is not the main concern. The main advantage of UDP is that

Woman Hating
Dworkin writes scathingly on footbinding in her book Woman Hating, alleging that in obtaining a
crippled wife, a man glories in her agony, he adores her deformity, he annihilates her freedom, he will
have her as a sex object, even if he must destroy the bones in her feet to do it. Brutality, sadism, and
oppression emerge as the substantive core of the romantic ethos. (Dworkin 112). Jeffreys quotes the
above from Dworkin in her own analysis of feet binding, ultimately concluding that foot binding was
the nascent precursor of a wave of prostitution which swept China. Indeed, Jeffreys adopts the
dominate theory posited by John Mao, prefacing that Women were dragooned into binding their
daughters feet, despite knowing the pain it would cause, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their arguments only point out how women are incapacitated or used as objects. However, as Brown s
field study showed, this analysis fails to comprehensively address causative forces of male dominance
from an economic standpoint. Though they are right in identifying male lust as the driving force
behind the subjugation of women, what is misunderstood are the consequences of such lust, which do
not cease with direct harm or objectification of women. By engaging in beauty practices, women are
not only rendered playthings, which is what the three seem to suggest, but are additionally retooled to
fit subservient economic roles, which serve to heighten and establish the hierarchal dominance of
men. Applying this economic perspective provides greater resolution and understanding of patriarchal
hierarchies. As Karen A. Callaghan observes in her introduction to the anthology Ideals of Feminine
Beauty: Philosophical, Social, and Cultural Dimensions, The gender hierarchy is sustained by beauty
norms that define women s power, self assertion and worth in terms that reify male dominance.
(Callaghan ix). Understanding the consolidation of male dominance necessitates defining these
hierarchies in a way that describes how female subservience is produced. It is important to note that
these hierarchies are multifaceted and exist as political, social,

In United States, Facebook accounts for 7% of the total consuming time online (Lipsman, 2010)

The Principles And Ethical Strategy Of Management
Ethics are important in an organizations structure. This is something that usually starts with the leaders
and trickle down to other employees in the company. The leader of an organization needs to how to
get the right people for the job. Leaders have to pick people that put emphasis on what is right and
people that want to help others. Ethics and morals play a huge part in the success of a company. The
organization must have leaders that can create and execute an ethical strategy for the company.
Setting the tone at the top is the best way to create and execute ethical strategy. Management has the
responsibility of making sure that the company is run effectively and efficiently. The principles and
ethical strategy of management builds a foundation and determines the purpose of the organization.
This should include honesty, truth, morals and integrity. Everyone within the organization should be
aiming for the same goals from an ethical stand point. Management has a very important role in the
ethical development of the company.
Next, the leaders should establish a standard of conduct. The leaders and management have to be
committed to focusing on operating under an ethical standard of conduct. Organizational culture
determines whether the company acts in an ethical matter. According to Gamble and Thomas 2011,
The fallout of ethical misconduct on the part of a company goes well beyond just the costs of making
amends for the misdeeds. Buyers shun companies known

Reebok Essay
Ten days had been passed since the Q3 result was announced. Uli Becker, CEO of Reebok and the
board members was concerned about the consistent decline in revenue of company since 2006
(Exhibit 1). It was a tensioned morning for the top executives of Reebok. They wanted to know the
reason of such a consistent decline in revenue. They wanted to know where the strategies were gone
wrong. What is the future of Reebok?? Will company survive?? These were the topics which made the
conference room warm. Executives knew very well that company needs a huge change in its corporate
strategies and operational strategies as well.
Reebok is a company founded by a shoemaker J.W. Foster in 1895 in Lancashire, England. In 1980s
and 1990s, Reebok grew to be a world s largest sports goods and apparels manufacturer. Reebok
enjoyed a good brand image as a market leader until Nike and Adidas captured the major market
share.
Later, Reebok was acquired by Adidas Group in 2005. Two major giants came together to respond to
the growing threat posed by market leader Nike. Although, this conglomeration enjoyed initial few

The Banning of Texts Such as Adventures of Huckleberry...
There are many people, groups, or organizations that crave power and will do whatever it takes to get
it. Some of these consist of governments, religious leaders, and other authoritative figures. They will
go to great lengths of censoring and even banning things that will threaten their power. These things
are banned or challenged due to the fact that these figures do not approve of their content. One of the
most common things banned and or challenged is that of written text. One such text is, Adventures of
Huckleberry Finn. It has been banned in Concord, Massachusetts on the basis of it being more suited
to the slums than to intelligent respectable people (Banned 1) and the overall vulgarity of the text.

If the story had not had such language it would have been allowed and challenged less. Also it could
have become a major success. Libraries banning Adventures of Huckleberry Finn often used the
reasoning that it is not suitable for their higher class of living. They believe that the story is about a
lower class of people that they shall not associate with. This is often a flaw in the human mind. The
believing that one is greater than another and because one is greater, they should not associate with
them. Even the reviewers said this book was suited for a low dirty lifestyle, as shown in the quote
when speaking about the book that it is more suited to the slums than to intelligent, respectable people
(Banned 1). Both the Brooklyn and Concord Public Libraries put something like this into effect. So it
is a very strong belief amongst these organizations that this book is not suitable for their people. The
judgmental decision process is that of an unjust unfair process. All things should be taken deep into
thought before making a decision like this. Slang offended many people in the communities and was a
leading factor to the book being challenged and banned. They have stated that the use of common

The True Cause Of Violent Behaviors
The True Cause of Violent Behaviors in Today s Society
There are volumes of media that are starting to harm the world in which we live. They have been
linked to fourteen mass murders (Fletcher). Nine out of the top ten selling games have been labeled as
violent and 42% of adolescents play them ( Children and Video Games ). These violent video games
are a major problem in the United States and across the globe. Violent video games have a direct
correlation with negative behaviors because they increase anger and aggression in young people,
decrease prosocial behavior, and have unfavorable effects on a teens daily life.

If people are viewing the world as a hostile and violent place then they are not able to grow and
develop relationships with others in their lives. They are gaining beliefs that their life outside of
violent video games wants them to fail, and that society is unable to understand their way of life.
Violent video games are destroying the possibility of relationships between people. 90% of video
games portray violence. Our brain sometimes doesn t distinguish between what is real and what we
see on TV (Barclay). This is a scary realization because it shows that what we watch and play on TV
can have a very harmful effect on our lives. Our brain is sometimes unable to recognize what is real
and what is not, which in turn will not be able to help determine when a violent situation is occurring
and when one is not.
Violent video games do not promote prosocial behavior between humans. Violent video games have
contributed to fatal actions. Mika Brzezinski said, It s kind of hard not to make a connection [between
games and the Navy Yard Shooting] when you hear [the shooter s] friend saying that he would watch
on a life size screen these violent video games for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours
(Kain). Violent video games are being linked to many of the mass shootings around the United States,
specifically the Washington Navy Yard shooting. Instead of helping each other some violent video
game players are turning to guns and weapons, which is

Techniques Used to Create Tension in I’m the King of the...
Question 1(a)
What technique does Susan Hill use to create tension in I m the King of the Castle. Refer closely to
the two incidents in the novel to illustrate your answer.
Susan Hill implements a couple of writing techniques to create tension in the novel. Tension n this
sense simply means mental strain or excitement in the readers. One of the techniques used is shown
when she uses a third person narration to narrate the story. This narrator is omniscient and implies that
he/ she is not one of the characters in the novel and at the same time know everything that is running
through the characters minds. Hill uses this technique to bring the readers on a journey of moving

This leaves the readers clueless and anxious to know about his plans because they know that
Hooper has something scarier than the spider in mind to frighten
Kingshaw. The readers are then told that Hooper stroked it and
lifted the thing up carefully because it was very large thinking that it might disintegrate . This arouses
feelings of suspense and excitement to know what that thing might be because Hooper was a little
afraid of it himself and he did not dare to hold it near to his body. The readers were only allowed to
know what that thing was when Kingshaw turns on his bedroom light and sees the stuffed crow.
Due to the lack of knowledge and understanding about Hooper, readers tend to share Kingshaw s
confusion and fears about the mysterious
Hooper.
Another technique used by Susan Hill is that of triggering the five senses in the readers. A very good
example was when Kingshaw runs away to the tin shed in despair, Hooper jumps at the chance to lock
him in the shed and lead him on to hallucinating about his surroundings causing the atmosphere to be
intensely frightening. The shed was
airless and very dark and it smelled faintly of pig muck, and old, dried hen pellets . With no window,
no light at all , the readers have an increased awareness of Kingshaw s predicament and when he
stuffed his fist into his mouth, in terror , the readers begin to place themselves in his

there are 3 different types of beauty pageants, a glitz pageant consists of the contestants wearing heavy
makeup, crystal decorated clothes and wearing slip on veneers. Another type of pageant is named a
semi glitz pageant which is very similar to the glitz pageant , except contestants are not allowed to
wear any hair pieces or slip on veneers. The third type of pageant is referred to as the natural pageant ,
contestants are permitted to wear natural makeup and will be disqualified if any hair piece or slip on
veneers are worn. Each of these different pageants are taken very seriously by its contestants with the
goal in mind of winning the crown. Many contestants will often make drastic or permanent changes,
forced by their guardian or parent(s) if they think they have a better chance of winning. Beauty
pageants exist only to judge girls based on their looks, which can be extremely damaging, both
physically and emotionally, therefore beauty pageants should be prohibited around the world to help
end the constant discrimination and unreal expectations of women and young girls.

Executive Of Air France And Klm
Strategies and Forces
According to the KLM s official website (2015) says that the Air France and KLM group became to
the largest airline group in Europe Since they merged in May 2004. And their tenet is one group, two
airlines, three businesses. Each member has own trade brand name and individual identity and the
three core businesses are: Cargo and Engineering Maintenance, Passenger Business. In 2014, the
chairman of Air France and KLM group Alexandre de Juniac has announced a branding new and
ambitious strategic plan named Perform 2020 (report, 2014). Juniac (2014) has pointed out three
major components of the new strategy. Initially, he group wants to improve the operational

Hence, the threat of substitutes and rivalry among the existing competitors would be the major forces
that shaped the part of competitiveness of Perform 2020 Plan. First of all, as Porter (2008) defined that
substitute performs the same or similar function as an industry s product or service by a different
means. For instance, one of the substitutes for the European airline industry would be the Eurostar
Railway. For example, a passenger who wants to travel to Paris by 23rd November 2015 the cheapest
ticket he/she could purchase will be from the Eurostar (standard class) and it only costs 146 pounds
from start. And the starting price for Air France (economy class) will be 261 pounds. Meanwhile,
KLM (economy class) starts from 250 pounds. On the other hand, the timing for airlines does not have
many advantages as well. Eurostar needs about 2 hours and16 minutes, Air France costs almost 1hour
and 25 minutes and KLM needs about the same duration with Air France as if it is directly flight to
Paris and if there is a flight transferring the duration could be 3 hours and 50 minutes mostly as their
official websites showing. However, Porter (2008) discussed that the substitutes are easy to overlook
because they may appear to be different

A Brief Note On Employment Non Discrimination Act
Employment Non Discrimination Act
Researchers show that anywhere from 15% to 43% percent of LGBT have encountered some variety
of unfairness and harassment in the workplace (Center Progress, 2011). Further, 8 % to 17 % of LGBT
state being passed over for employment or fired due to their sexual orientation. Ten percent to 28
percent experienced a negative performance review or were overlooked for a promotion due to being
gay. Moreover, 7 % to 41 % of gays faced harassment, abuse, or antigay vandalism on the job.
Transgenders persevere through high rates of employment injustice and harassment at work. In a
current national survey, an astonishing 90 % of transgender individuals depicted some harassment or
abuse on the job. Approximately half of transgender individuals also describe experiencing an adverse
employment result due to their gender identity. This entails being disregarded for employment (44 %),
getting terminated (26 %), and being denied a promotion (23 %).
Historical Background
The recommended Employment Non Discrimination Act ( Library of Congress, n.d.) would shield
private and public workers from employment unfairness by perceived or actual sexual orientation and
gender identity. Employment Non Discrimination Act is practically identical to Title VII of the Civil
Rights Act of 1964, which already secures workers by race, color, religion, sex, and political origin,
and additionally the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, which ensures individuals against

Charles Dickens and William Marley s Beliefs in the...
William Marley grew up in London. The celebrated writer Charles Dickens often visited William s
father, a renowned and wealthy doctor with a shared interest in child welfare. Dickens loved unusual
names. He decorated his writings with them. At a party at the Marley home in 1843 he promised to
make his host s then uncommon surname a household word. In A Christmas Carol , published that
December, he named the main protagonist in the story for his friend. By New Years Eve, the book had
sold fifteen thousand copies, and Dickens had honoured his promise. Throughout the United
Kingdom, people spoke the names Scrooge, Cratchit, Fezziwig... and Marley.
Dickens believed that if all children, whatever their circumstance, could attend school, society would
benefit. The social message of A Christmas Carol inspired widespread enthusiasm for universal
education; enthusiasm which gained momentum throughout the Victorian era, even in far distant
corners of the Her Majesty s Realm.
William Marley followed his father into medicine, but never achieved the same success. By 1884 he
toiled far from the culture and learning of London in a remote corner of the Empire. He had little time
to ponder social welfare or literary interests. At fifty years of age, guilt and worry clouded his days. In
Stanthorpe, where he first lived in Queensland, and then here in Port Douglas, he and his wife had led
active social lives. That lifestyle cost money. Now ill, and convinced he would

Investors’ On-Off Relationship With Emerging Market Debt
Investors on off relationship with emerging market debt (EMD) was again on display during much of
2016: annual performance reached double digit heights by September, before falling back in the three
days following the US elections. Despite this seesaw pattern of returns, EMD finished the year as one
of the best performing fixed income markets, underscoring the merit of having a strategic allocation to
the asset class. Less obvious is what, if anything, investors can do to reap consistently more of the

All of them can impact significantly the performance and risk profile of EMD assets. Second, the

Finally, the asset class is particularly vulnerable to short term surprises, as evidenced last year by
November s US elections. We believe EMD differs from traditional developed market fixed income in

Effects Of Caffeine On The Body Metabolism
Caffeine is one of the most prevalent drugs consumed around the world, and is frequently used by
athletes in efforts to enhance their performance. It is defined by the Medical Dictionary as A bitter
white alkaloid, C8H10N4O2 that stimulates the central nervous system and body metabolism (2010).
Some believe that increasing their caffeine intake will then improve their energy and endurance levels
during long term sporting events such as running, biking, or swimming. Caffeine is found in an
assortment of foods and drinks including but not limited to coffee, tea, cokes and cola products,
chocolate and energy drinks. Caffeine can also be found in some over the counter medications.
In a recent research study produced by the Kinesiology Department of Delaware University, the
following findings were presented: that caffeine is a vasoconstrictor and stimulant; caffeine can
increase blood pressure by contracting the heart and blood vessels in non habitual users; caffeine
changes the electro physiological activity of the heart, increasing conductivity, even in limited doses
(University of Delaware). In regards to the gastrointestinal side effects, the UD study wrote that
caffeine stimulates gastric secretion, stating that some individuals are sensitive to caffeine and suffer
ill effects such as acid indigestion, heartburn, abdominal pain, gas or constipation to varying degrees.
In addition, caffeine inhibits vasopressin, and it acts as a powerful diuretic. Liver metabolism is

90 trucks and 180 trailers. Recently,
FHP Technologies, Starfire s largest customer, submitted a proposal to James to add delivery routes

Was it possible to squeeze out more capacity from an already fully utilized fleet? Perhaps Starfire
could shift trucks from another account. Was taking on more debt truly risky given the profit potential
of this new route? Simmons knew he had to make a convincing argument before FHP took the offer to
another truck line.
Industry Background and
Cost Structure
Table 1 presents the 2012 income from operations of
Starfire Trucking Company. To better understand the line items and company cost structure, it would
be helpful to begin with a general description of the trucking industry and its common practices. (Also
see Industry Terms for brief definitions of common terms.)
Revenue Sources
Trucking firms generate a variety of revenue types from hauling goods for their clients. The primary
source is typically line haul revenue, which is the revenue earned from hauling freight. Another source
is fuel surcharge (FSC) revenue. Trucking companies are exposed to fuel price volatility when they
sign a long term contract with a customer. With the pointed volatility of fuel prices in recent years,
trucking companies include the FSC, which is an additional fee that s triggered when fuel costs exceed
predetermined levels. Thus, the primary purpose of the FSC is to protect the truck line from fuel price
increases during the contract term.
A trucking line will likely have other,

Pow 3 Rectangles
Problem statement:
What you are trying to find is how many rebounds and in what corner will a pool ball land. Each shot
will start at the lower left corners and will always start moving at a 45 degree angle. The table is a
rectangle with pockets in each of the four corners. The pool table has whole number dimensions. I am
trying to figure out the patterns or formulas for the pool table.
Process:
I first started making squares and rectangles on a graph paper, and did this in a group of three. Then I
started drawing lines at a 45 degree angle, if they hit one of the sides of the wall then I would keep on
drawing the lines at a 45 degree angle until the ball would go into one of the pockets. If you wouldn t

But the one thing that I didn t quite get to is the super solution but all of my mini solutions work for all
sorts of rectangles. My solutions were two of the same numbers always equal zero. I know that this
works because if you do a 6 by 6 you would get 0 rebounds. A number and one are always the number
subtracted by one. If you do a 4 by 1 you would get 3 rebounds. If the dimensions can be reduced to ½
then the rebound will be one. For example, an 8 by 4 has one rebound. If the dimensions have a two in
it, then the other number is the number of rebounds that you have. For example, If you had a 7 by 2
there would be 7 rebounds. You take the first dimension and add it to the second dimension and
subtract it by 2. This one works for most of them but not all of them. For example, if you had a 9 by 7
then there would be 14 rebounds. The ball never lands in the corner, it was shot from. I looked at all
the pictures that I drew to figure out the formulas and noticed that the corner the ball was hit from,
never ever landed in the corner that it was hit from. Finally, if there are 0 rebounds then the ball will
land in the corner diagonal from the corner it was shot. I figured this out by looking at the rebounds
and pictures that I drew for the 0 rebounds. Those were all of the formulas and patterns that I found.
This is a one by one which has 0

Racism In Human Nature, By Carl Von Linne
Exhibiting our history of race can be a double edged sword. The history of race and racism does
educate the public about the root of racism, or the history could be a reminder of the residual effects of
racism that are so deeply rooted in our societies. Art is subjective. Some people, who detach the views
of the artists from the artist s product, see the pieces as beautiful and some see it as a continues
reminder of racial supremacy and pseudo science which we are still debunking and debating. For
example, George Louis and Immanuel Kant, insisted all races derive from white people by using
pseudo science to prove their theories. Constant reminders of the past could hold us back from
progression but without knowing the root of racism, we cannot ... Show more content on

In Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel s Geographical Basis of World History, his grading of races is
grounded on trade; races that contribute to the progression of the world , mainly trade, are higher up in
his hierarchy while races that weren t as involved in trade were in the bottom. I believe, before
agriculture, the beginning of capitalism, where one must destroy and exploit to grow food which
caused a cycle of violence, there was no such thing as a classification for the main purpose of creating
hierarchies. Categories which restrict people by forcing them to fit into boxes of definitions which
were defined by the privileged are always going to be problematic. We are continuing to contribute to
a concept which is dehumanizing and ignorant; a concept that arose from people like Johann fried
Rich Blumenbach in Degradation of the Species who asserted nonwhite people are deformities of
white people. Justifications for racism and sexism would be difficult if we did not homogenize people.

Ans: I would recommend Crocs to expand by growing into other product extensions. This is because,
even after increasing its sales in the five years after it was started, I believe Crocs did not diversify
enough into other products. In this age of financial and economic upheaval, I believe that only firms
which have diversified sufficiently will be able to survive in the long run. So, expanding into other
areas is of critical importance to Crocs in the long run. Most of the products of Crocs are doing well
and Crocs has this significant stregnth of testing products in various places without facing losses due
to under or over production. This method of product extension hence is in line with the core
competencies of Crocs of excellent supply chain and the superior raw materials used. Personally, I don
t think that expanding only by acquisition is a good idea in the long run. Because, more often than not,
the strategic assets of the firm being acquired and the firm that is acquiring are not in complete sync
with each other. Also, I believe that expanding through acquisition is not a continous process and
hence, the resultant bursts of extra demand that is generated might adversely impact the core
competencies of Crocs which is its excellent supply chain network. It is of paramount importance for
Crocs to ensure that its traditional core competencies are used to the maximum even after

Pennywise The Clown Character Analysis
It in its origins, is Stephen King s 1100 page literary masterpiece that has bred Coulrophobia within
many who dared to sojourn through the novel. Nevertheless, it was the novel s subject in focus,
Pennywise the Clown, embodied in full flesh by Tim Curry that amassed a sadistic following and
obsession with the arrival of the 1990 TV miniseries on ABC. Curry s portrayal of the dancing clown
quickly became a hallmark image for the horror canon, if not the face of horror movies altogether.
Flash forward 27 years later, the fear of clowns has burgeoned into a commonplace phobia and horror
trope. With all this to say, no clown has terrorized us in our nightmares quite like Curry s Pennywise.
Well, that was the case until Bill Skarsgård came along with a darker rendition of the fiendish entity in

We have already made it through so much, and we have grown in our relationship along the way. With
this time apart, I view it as an opportunity to be stronger individuals and share a stronger bond. So
many other relationships I see are fighting over the most ridiculous topics. I see people take each other
for granted without realizing that in a moment, it could all be take away. In the poem, To a Mouse, by
Robert Burns, it states, The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. No matter how in detail we
plan our lives out, those plans could be altered, or even changed completely, before we know it. This
is what has happened in our relationship and we are learning how to keep moving forward. Even

Three ways I have been learning to be patient is realizing that this is what needs to be done, realizing

Juveniles Tried As Adults With Criminal Justice System
Juveniles Tried as Adults in Criminal Court Approximately two million adolescents a year are arrested
and out of that two million, 60,000 of them are incarcerated according to the American Journal of
Public Health. The 60,000 incarcerated adolescents each year are being tried as adults in court because
of the serious crimes they have committed. The crimes they have committed are anything from armed
robbery to murder. Some juveniles might be first time offenders and others might be repeat offenders.
Crimes have always been a major issue in the United States and can cause controversy in the criminal
justice system. Charging a minor as an adult in criminal court varies from state to state based on each
state s jurisdiction. Some states consider anyone up to the age of 18 still a juvenile and would not be
charged as an adult in criminal court, but other states may charge a juvenile as an adult at the age of 16
or 17. Jordan (2014) states, Although states already had methods for transferring youth to the adult
system, as a result of the growing fear of juvenile violence, most states implemented new laws to
increase the number of youth entering the adult criminal system (Bernard Kurlychek, 2010; Torbet et
al., 1996) (p. 315). While it sounds beneficial to incarcerate more adolescents in the adult criminal
justice system to avoid juveniles from committing crimes in the future, that is not always the case.

Child Prostitution And The Exploitation Of Children Essay
Child prostitution is prostitution that involves exploiting children for a sexual act. The word usually
refers to prostitution of a minor, or someone who is under the legal age of consent. In most places
child prostitution is illegal, but not all. Sex trafficking is usually the first step to child prostitution. Sex
trafficking is when a child is kidnapped or tricked into becoming involved in the black market sex
trade or survival sex. Survival sex is when a child forced to engage in sexual acts to obtain basic life
essentials. With child prostitution comes child pornography. Child pornography is the exploitation of
children for sexual stimulation. It may produce with consent or non consent. However, some people
travel across the world to engage in child sex tourism . Child sex tourism is tourism for the purpose of
child prostitution. Child sex tourism is most severe in South America and Asia, but is still a global
problem. Most of the children involved with prostitution are girls, despite an increase in the number of
young boys in the trade. Over 100,000 children have been forced into prostitution or pornography

Violence And Sexual Abuse Of Stockholm Syndrome And...
This is another phrase that many little girls seek comfort in: If a boy picks on you, that means that he
actually likes you from a guardian usually. For her to hear this after being bullied destroys her ideas
about being treated well by men. It s not that far of a leap between a bratty boy tugging on a little girl
s pigtails or pushing her in the playground, to dragging her across the floor by her hair or shoving her
out of frustration with enough force to break bones. The parallels are too coinciding to ignore. If this
thinking and behaviour is not corrected in youth, it will prosper and grow into something more
harmful than a playground scuffle. This makes this damaging wives tale an enforcer of Stockholm
syndrome and violence against women. (Jameson, 2011)
These kinds of societal beliefs teaches men to treat the women they admire with brutality as an
expression of their feelings as well as a sexual object of their desire. It has taught women to accept
these acts of violence and sexual abuse as an equivalent for love and compliment. Stockholm
syndrome is a defense mechanism of sorts: the abused psychologically creates an affection for the
abuser to cope with their life threatening circumstances. [Stockholm syndrome] is proffered as a
psychological explanation for the question of why people can be unable or unwilling to leave abusive
relationships... [this implies] that the development of a bond between victim and aggressor is the best
way to ensure the victim s survival

Particular Eyewitness
Memory is a reconstructive process, where someone recall information from the past that will be their
autobiography and it can be affected by many different factors, and according to the first study
provided below, all memories are wrong to some extent. But what is important for memories is
whether we can differentiate between accurate and inaccurate ones. The first study has tested two
different approaches on subjects, and neither were helpful in determining the validity of a memory. On
the other hand, in the fourth study it was concluded that it is possible to assess whether a particular
eyewitness is true or false based on the approach the witness used to recall the information. Also, it
was found in the third research that subjects were

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Helmet
Helmets have been around since warfare. Nowadays, helmets are used for many things such as sports,
vehicles and fashion. Most current helmets are made up of a shell, a liner and a strap (bhsi.org). The
shell is the outer layer of the helmet and is usually made of plastic and glued on top of the liner. The
liner is the most important part of the helmet as it provides the most protection. It is usually made of
Expanded Polystyrene foam. As the foam crushes, it converts the mechanical energy of the collision to
other forms of energy such as heat, as well as, lengthens the time of impact which reduces the impact
force (F↓= I/T↑). These days some helmets have different layers of foam with different densities to
accommodate to different kinds of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Standards should help ensure the safety of products. Making new standards, however, are affected by
customer s willingness to buy the product, and thus, we do not have very safe standards. Helmet
standards, just like any other standards, could also mislead people into being overconfident of the
certified product. Lab tests, which are used to make standards, also cannot accurately stimulate the
effects on the skull because they use a rigid head model. As time passes and impacts occur, standards
could also become meaningless because the foam starts to weaken. To accommodate to this, you could
either buy another helmet after each impact, which could be expensive, or use the same helmet and

Creating An Estate Plan? 3 Questions To Ask Before You Do It
Creating your personal estate plan may feel overwhelming. You will need to select who your
belongings will go to, which is a challenge in and of itself since you must consider the feelings of
others. The nature of estate planning can even cause you to forget key things that you should be doing.
Be sure to ask these 3 questions to make sure you re covered.
What Are Your Current Debts?
Many people do not realize that their debts are what causes families to go to probate court to settle an
estate. A prime example is allocating a high value item that you own to an individual in your will, but
it is later discovered that the item must be sold to cover existing debts. This is often the ... Show more

Jointly owned assets can be a very challenging thing to deal with after someone dies. Any jointly
owned property with a spouse will be easy to figure out, since chances are that you ll want the
property to go to the other person. This includes your house, car, or land that you own.
Unfortunately, other items are much harder to divide when jointly owned. For example, a small
business that is owned by two people will have another owner to contend with. While the other owner
may feel like they deserve to inherit the other half of the company, you may have your own thoughts
on who you want to leave it for. Disputes like these will be settled in probate.
Be sure you get documentation for jointly owned assets that states how all owners agree for the asset
to be divided after someone s death. This will help avoid any disputes later on.

The Case Of Four Maids
Josiah has bought a house with the help of a mortgage from Fed Bank. He is now unable to return it
and has already missed three payments. Josiah would like to know what kind of remedies the bank has
and which is it more likely to use. He is also interested in what steps the bank needs to take before
taking possession and how likely their claim for possession would be.
a) Fed Bank has a number of rights they can exercise. Moreover, as long as they do not recover more
than the principal debt plus costs and interest they can employ more than one of them .
What Fed Bank is most likely to do is sell the property as to return most of their investment. In order
to do that they first need to take possession of the house. Under s.87 of the Law of ... Show more

The most well established way of creating a mortgage is in fact by deed and, furthermore, s.23(1)
states a mortgage of a registered land cannot be created by lease. It is made clear Josiah is the sole
registered owner of the property.
As for the question whether the legal date of redemption is passed this can be proven with the case of
Payne . As we know from the current case Josiah has missed 3 mortgage payments. However, in the
case of Payne it was established that defaulting on an instalment was equal to a defaulting on the
whole mortgage. As such it is safe to say both conditions are met and the power of sale has arisen.
What Fed Bank needs to prove next is whether their right to sell has become exercisable, the
conditions for which can be found in s. 103 of the LPA 1925. One of them states the power becomes
exercisable if the mortgagors have missed two monthly instalments. As Josiah has missed three, this
means the bank can safely sell the property.
Since a mortgage is considered a contract of loan, Fed Bank can also sue Josiah for a breach. This can
happen particularly if they feel the sale of the property has not repaid what they have been owed. This
was the case of Rudge where it was held the sale of the property did not release the mortgagor from
the duty to pay any balance remaining due. Another reason for them to do this would be if they have
failed to take possession of the property due to an overriding

The Tragedy Of Othello, The Moor Of Venice
The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice: War steal s the ability to love.
Haunted by the past, seeing threats around every corner, and trying to love, this is what we see in the
play The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice by William Shakespeare. As we are told the story of
three soldiers and there loves we see how each shows there faults and trauma from a life of service.
Cassio the young adventures one who spends his time with prostitutes. Then there is Iago the long
married who sees his wife as nothing more than a tool. Lastly Othello an older general who has only
recently wed a much younger bride who he adores almost too much. With these men, Shakespeare
shows how war can take from a man his ability to love.

Iago Come on, come on. You are pictures out of door, bells in your parlors, wild cats in your kitchens,
saints in your injuries, devils being offended, players in your housewifery, and housewives in your
beds. Emilia You shall not write my praise. Iago No, let me not 769 This interaction is where we first
meet Emilia and we are given our insights into her and Iago s relationship it is clear that at the point of
his life that Iago is at, he show little if any love for his wife and freely insults her in front of others.
Emilia is a loyal wife who seems to do much for Iago s affectation as shown when she steals
Desdemona s handkerchief. What handkerchief? Why, that the Moor first gave to Desdemona; that
which so often you did bid me steal. Iago s replies with A good wench! Give it me. 799 It seems she is
nothing more than a tool to be used for the fulfilment of his plans. This relationship proves fatal for
both as she betrays him O thou dull Moor! That handkerchief thou speak st of I found by fortune and
did give my husband; for often, with solemn earnestness, more than indeed belonged to such a trifle,
he begged of me to steal t 846 this reviles Iago to Othello and for it Iago stabs Emilia in the back as he
tries to escape. Iago s and Emilia had been married for an undetermined amount of time but it seems
that theirs is the longest of all the relationships

Thirteen Days vs. the real Cuban Missile Crisis
The movie Thirteen Days directed by Roger Donaldson is about the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. It is
often referred to as a docudrama as it is very entertainment oriented but still remains close to the roots
of what actually happened. Since it was produced at a later date than many other films portraying the
events, Thirteen Days was able to access recently declassified information which helped in attaining a
more historically accurate film. Although there were some discrepancies with what happened in real
life compared to the film. The year is 1962 and American surveillance planes discover that the USSR
is in the process of placing nuclear ballistic missiles in Cuba. The missiles have a said capability to

It was because the appearance of Kenneth O Donnell is much more appealing to the average
American. He is the perfect protagonist, just an average middle class American trying to do the right
thing. That is why he was given this role and it is understandable why this trade off would be made for
entertainment purposes as Thirteen Days is a movie and not a documentary. Another less criticized
aspect of the movie veering from 100% historical accuracy is that nothing is said about President
Kennedy s interests in ridding Fidel Castro of Cuba but in reality he had been made aware of secret
missions into Cuba prior to the Bay of Pigs. As well as approving the Bay of Pigs invasion. During the
Bay of Pigs the US tried to pass the invasion off as Cuban defectors and US armed forces had no role
in the invasion. President Kennedy even said The armed forces of this country would not intervene in
any way. Even though that is of course a blatant lie and the Kennedy Administration helped set up and
fund the CRC (Cuban Revolutionary Council) to take over after Fidel s government had been
removed. None of President Kennedy s knowledge of this is shown in the film because it would not fit
with how Kenneth O Donnell advises him on the subject matter. Both of the previously mentioned
deviations from historical accuracy are really relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. The
producer went to great lengths to maintain historical

Is it an immigrant finally being able to call America their home? Patriotism is defined as the attachment or sense of pride that one feels about what they would decide as their homeland. According to many Americans, it s a feeling we all share as citizens. Everyone has their own definition of what that pride or attachment consists of. We live within a democratic government; created for the people, by the people. Most would expect our type of government and patriotism to come hand in hand. Our people must feel a deep pride for their country when they are the ones who elect who should represent them to the world, right? We choose who we think would be best at running our country for 4 years until we have the chance to keep the same person or elect someone else. The people of America are the reason those politicians have power; the people of America can be the ones who take it from them. • 5. Negotiation Theory Essay NEGOTIATION Negotiation theory Last updated 9 months ago The foundations of negotiation theory are decision analysis, behavioral decision making, game theory, and negotiation analysis. Another classification of theories distinguishes between Structural Analysis, Strategic Analysis, Process Analysis, Integrative Analysis and behavioral analysis of negotiations. Individuals should make separate, interactive decisions; and negotiation analysis considers how groups of reasonably bright individuals should and could make joint, collaborative decisions. These theories are interleaved and should be approached from the synthetic perspective. Common Assumptions Of Most Theories Negotiation is a specialized and formal version of conflict ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore the parties have contradicting incentives to cooperate or defect. If one party cooperates or makes a concession and the other does not, the defecting party might relatively gain more. Trust may be built only in repetitive games through the emergence of reliable patterns of behaviour such as tit for tat. This table illustrates the options and possible outcomes of the Negotiator s Dilemma. Process Analysis Process analysis is the theory closest to haggling. Parties start from two points and converge through a series of concessions. As in strategic analysis, both sides have a veto (e.g. sell, not sell; pay, not pay). Process analysis also features structural assumptions, because one side may be weaker or stronger (e.g. more eager to sell, not willing to pay a certain price). Process Analysis focuses on the study of the dynamics of processes. E.g. both Zeuthen and Cross tried to find a formula in order to predict the behaviour of the other party in finding a rate of concession, in order to predict the likely outcome. The process of negotiation therefore is considered to unfold between fixed points: starting point of discord, end point of convergence. The so called security point, that is the result of optional withdrawal, is also taken into account. Integrative Analysis Integrative analysis divides the process into successive stages, rather than talking about ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Geneva Accords failed to keep the peace as the US did not agree to its final declaration (Messing 1312). According to the US legal advisor, in this case the US actions are justifiable because North Vietnam had broken the accords first; however, there is little evidence to support this claim and convincing cases can be made that say the opposite (Messing 1321). Even if North Vietnam had broken the accords first, the United Nations Charter article 2, paragraph 4, unlike traditional international law makes such forcible self help an unlawful means of withholding compliance with an international government (Messing 1321). Why Death Is Accepted As A Natural Part Of The Process Essay Similarly, a study taken from the International Journal of Older People Nursing shows that that in one third of the cases, nursing staff members who were caring for residents who died with dementia reported that they experienced what they perceived as a high emotional burden (Albers, Block, Stichele 2013). Healthcare workers in another study reported feelings of guilt and moral dilemma regarding patient deaths (Dwyer, Hansebo, Andershed, and Ternestedt 2009). By engaging in beauty practices, women are not only rendered playthings, which is what the three seem to suggest, but are additionally retooled to fit subservient economic roles, which serve to heighten and establish the hierarchal dominance of men. Applying this economic perspective provides greater resolution and understanding of patriarchal hierarchies. As Karen A. Was it possible to squeeze out more capacity from an already fully utilized fleet? Perhaps Starfire could shift trucks from another account. Was taking on more debt truly risky given the profit potential of this new route? Simmons knew he had to make a convincing argument before FHP took the offer to another truck line. Industry Background and Cost Structure Table 1 presents the 2012 income from operations of Starfire Trucking Company. To better understand the line items and company cost structure, it would be helpful to begin with a general description of the trucking industry and its common practices. (Also see Industry Terms for brief definitions of common terms.) Revenue Sources Trucking firms generate a variety of revenue types from hauling goods for their clients. The primary source is typically line haul revenue, which is the revenue earned from hauling freight. Another source is fuel surcharge (FSC) revenue. Trucking companies are exposed to fuel price volatility when they sign a long term contract with a customer. With the pointed volatility of fuel prices in recent years, trucking companies include the FSC, which is an additional fee that s triggered when fuel costs exceed predetermined levels. Thus, the primary purpose of the FSC is to protect the truck line from fuel price increases during the contract term. A trucking line will likely have other,

But the one thing that I didn t quite get to is the super solution but all of my mini solutions work for all sorts of rectangles. My solutions were two of the same numbers always equal zero. I know that this works because if you do a 6 by 6 you would get 0 rebounds. A number and one are always the number subtracted by one. If you do a 4 by 1 you would get 3 rebounds. If the dimensions can be reduced to ½ then the rebound will be one. For example, an 8 by 4 has one rebound. If the dimensions have a two in it, then the other number is the number of rebounds that you have. For example, If you had a 7 by 2 there would be 7 rebounds. You take the first dimension and add it to the second dimension and subtract it by 2. This one works for most of them but not all of them. For example, if you had a 9 by 7 then there would be 14 rebounds. The ball never lands in the corner, it was shot from. I looked at all the pictures that I drew to figure out the formulas and noticed that the corner the ball was hit from, never ever landed in the corner that it was hit from. Finally, if there are 0 rebounds then the ball will land in the corner diagonal from the corner it was shot. I figured this out by looking at the rebounds and pictures that I drew for the 0 rebounds. The history of race and racism does educate the public about the root of racism, or the history could be a reminder of the residual effects of racism that are so deeply rooted in our societies. Art is subjective. Some people, who detach the views of the artists from the artist s product, see the pieces as beautiful and some see it as a continues reminder of racial supremacy and pseudo science which we are still debunking and debating. So, expanding into other areas is of critical importance to Crocs in the long run. Most of the products of Crocs are doing well and Crocs has this significant stregnth of testing products in various places without facing losses due to under or over production. The 60,000 incarcerated adolescents each year are being tried as adults in court because of the serious crimes they have committed. The crimes they have committed are anything from armed robbery to murder. Some juveniles might be first time offenders and others might be repeat offenders. Crimes have always been a major issue in the United States and can cause controversy in the criminal justice system. Charging a minor as an adult in criminal court varies from state to state based on each state s jurisdiction. Some states consider anyone up to the age of 18 still a juvenile and would not be charged as an adult in criminal court, but other states may charge a juvenile as an adult at the age of 16 or 17. Jordan (2014) states, Although states already had methods for transferring youth to the adult system, as a result of the growing fear of juvenile violence, most states implemented new laws to increase the number of youth entering the adult criminal system (Bernard Kurlychek, 2010; Torbet et al., 1996) (p. 315). This is another phrase that many little girls seek comfort in: If a boy picks on you, that means that he actually likes you from a guardian usually. For her to hear this after being bullied destroys her ideas about being treated well by men. It s not that far of a leap between a bratty boy tugging on a little girl s pigtails or pushing her in the playground, to dragging her across the floor by her hair or shoving her out of frustration with enough force to break bones. The parallels are too coinciding to ignore. If this thinking and behaviour is not corrected in youth, it will prosper and grow into something more harmful than a playground scuffle. This makes this damaging wives tale an enforcer of Stockholm syndrome and violence against women. (Jameson, 2011) These kinds of societal beliefs teaches men to treat the women they admire with brutality as an expression of their feelings as well as a sexual object of their desire. It has taught women to accept these acts of violence and sexual abuse as an equivalent for love and compliment. As we know from the current case Josiah has missed 3 mortgage payments. However, in the case of Payne it was established that defaulting on an instalment was equal to a defaulting on the whole mortgage.
