X-ray technology was discovered accidentally by Wilhelm Roentgen and has since benefited the medical profession in three key ways: it helps prevent and treat illnesses by revealing issues inside the human body, allows doctors to treat patients faster with internal imaging, and has increased medical understanding of human anatomy and body functions. For his graduation project, the author taught a class on the history of x-ray technology and created a wiki page to share information on how x-rays have advanced medicine.
