High School Football Essay
High school football over the years has become a huge spectacle lets just talk about the DWF area or
we can even get smaller to make a point if you made a 25 mile radius these local high school teams
play at the Star (seats 12,000), Allen stadium (seats 18,000 cost 60 million), and McKinney s new
stadium (seats 12,000 costs 69.9 million). This is just high school football these young kids playing
under tremendous pressure from the start. The pressure to play high school football is immense, there
are so many media outlets for these kids, and they get coverage from what it seems like all the time
during the season, yet this is all just considered a recreational activity I think it has become more than
that now. The pressure for coaches is high as well dealing with parents, board members, keeping up
with classes as a teacher, and oh you also have to win since football is a performance based business
(forewarning this will be said a lot). For example I will refer to Boobie Miles from Friday Night
Lights for one final point. Boobie knew if he did not make it in football there was nothing special for
him. That is why when he got hurt he still wanted to play, because he knew that s all he had. That is a
lot of pressure for a 16 18 year to handle, and if they are not up for it they crack. In college the
pressure only increases as well as the criticism this is where the money part comes into play more so
because of the huge contracts that coaches are getting. If your team is not

Women s Role In The French Revolution
Despite being disregarded as equals by the French society, many women in France had roles in the
French Revolution. Of the many women, three women in particular had pivotal functions in the
founding of women s rights. During the time period a societal change regarding the rights of women
had begun to take place. Pauline Leon was the daughter of a chocolate maker and an exceptionally
radical women activist during the French Revolution who helped lead a, short lived, but drastic club.
Etta Palm D Aelders, a Dutch woman, was a fundamental women s rights activist with a knack for
debating who addressed the national assembly and legislative assembly for equality for women in the
eyes of the law for both marriage and women s clubs. Olympe De Gouges was a female
writer/playwright during the French ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The letter entitled Les Droits de la Femme was sent to the Queen in hopes to acquire a new leader for
women s rights. She starts off stating that she had always stood by her for her defense when havoc had
ran rampant. The main focal point of the document is revealed when De Gouge asks Madame, may a
nobler function characterize you, excite your ambition, and fix your attentions. Only one whom
chance has elevated to an eminent position can assume the task of lending weight to the progress of
the Rights of Woman and of hastening its success. De Gouges spoke of the function of the Queen,
which is to just produce heirs for the king. She advocates for doing something even greater than that
and for the Queen to help lead the women s rights movement. De Gouges knew that only someone of
her status and position could successfully aid them. De Gouges writing to the Queen helped to show
the complex political views and affiliations she had. De Gouges not only sought help from the royalty
but also reached out to the National Legislature to express her feelings on female

Professionalism Is Defined As Work Place Behaviors
To remain productive and successful in the workplace, an individual must maintain a superior level of
professionalism. Professionalism is defined as work place behaviors that result in positive business
relationships. In the How Do You Rate assessments, all of my results showed a clear understanding in
business etiquette. To put in my own words what professionalism means to me, it is your ability to
demonstrate yourself in an appropriate, responsible, goal determined manner, while working
respectively and alongside your business community. Your professionalism is presented by you and
interpreted by others. The projections you portray to others can increase/decrease the value of your
input in the workplace. I have developed an action plan that will guide myself to achieve the highest
professionalism possible. I decided to call my brother up to ask his input on professionalism. Jason is
a graduate from Georgetown University with a finance major. He is currently working for a
commercial real estate finance company in Washington D.C. and is blessed with a great job and great
opportunities . I asked him how he defines professionalism, and he answered, Professionalism is who
you are within the company, and how your values are perceived by others. I told him about my paper
and he mentioned to speak on the proper attitude to have, the appearance to show, the communication
skills to have, and the motivation to achieve your goals. The first step in the direction of
professionalism

Scientific Paradigm
In social science, a scientific paradigm refers to a framework of the mostly accepted views about a
certain subject and its research should resume and how it should be done. There is what is known as
conflict paradigm which states that there are two major social groups. These social groups are the
ruling class and the subject class. It further states that the subject class is being ruled and oppressed by
the ruling class. This has led to a conflict of interest between the two classes. The legal and political
institutions are dominated by the ruling class and always look at advancing its interest. This conflict
paradigm makes us view social behavior in one way but another paradigm known as interactionist
makes us view it at a different angle (Miguel 2014).
Natural scientists have a belief that moving from one paradigm to another indicates progress from
false to a true view. Paradigm gains or loses popularity in social sciences but are discharged together
seldom.
There are differences between social science paradigm and several other differences between the
macro and micro level theories of social sciences. Micro level focuses on individuals and their
interactions. A good example is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Human Drug For Treating Bacterial Infections
β lactam antibiotics have continued to be the most popular drug for treating bacterial infections since
its discovery in 1928 by Fleming and its introduction as an antibacterial agent in the early 1950.1
Most commonly used β lactam drugs today stems from the original discovery and development of
natural products from microorganisms like penicillin, cephalosporin and other β lactam based
antibiotics (Figure 1). 1,2 However, soon after its commercialization and widespread usage, β
lactamase secreting penicillin resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus were isolated.3 The
introduction of methicillin (a β lactamase insensitive semi synthetic penicillin), to curb the resistance
problem resulted in the evolution of another resistant strain known as methicillin resistant
Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).4 Figure 1: Some β lactam antibiotics
Resistance to β lactams is easy for bacteria as all β lactams shared the same mode of action, which is
the inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis by forming stable covalent adducts with the active site
serine residues of penicillin binding proteins (PBPs). The PBPS are often divided into two partitions;
the high molecular weight PBPs (HMW PBPs) and the low molecular weight PBPs (LMW PBPs). The
HMW PBPs are further divided in two classes, A and B, while the LMW PBPs are divided in four
subclasses based on their tertiary structures. Figure 2 shows the reactions between natural substrates, β
lactams and transition state analogs with the

Essay on Hawthorne s The Scarlett Letter
Hawthorne s The Scarlett Letter
Works Cited Missing
He is the complete type of man of the world, the social ideal, courteous, quiet, well informed,
imperturbably. Nevertheless, his moral nature is a poisonous and irreclaimable wilderness, in which
blooms not a single flower of heavenly parentage. (J. Hawthorne) Over the course of seven years,
Roger Chillingworth changes from a calm, scholarly, and kind person to an evil, corrupt, and satanic
being.
Roger Chillingworth s life in England with Hester was happy. He studied alchemy, and was scholarly
and well learned. Although Hester and Chillingworth did not share love, they were happy together.

These are the first hints of the evil that would soon consume him.
The following three years bring many negative changes to Chillingworth. Hester Pryne was startled to
perceive what a change has come over his features how his dark complexion seemed to have grown
duskier, and his figure more misshapen... (108) He had established himself as a doctor in Boston.
People felt it was Divine providence that Chillingworth came to Boston to tend for their loved
Minister Dimsdale. Chillingworth became acquaintances with Dimsdale and eventually moved in with
him. Chillingworth studied the Minister closely and tore through his ideas and thoughts. He now dug
into the poor clergy man s heart like a miner searching for gold; or, rather, like a sexton delving into a
grave, possibly in quest of a jewel that had been buried on the dead man s bosom, but likely to find
nothing save mortality and corruption. (125) Chillingworth is now almost completely consumed with
evil. He still is calm, but was never released from his horrible fascination with learning the identity of
Pearl s father. In the presence of so much wickedness over the course of three years changed
Chillingworth.
Chillingworth is being consumed by evil gradually; consequently, when he finds the marking on
Dimsdale s chest, assuring him his victim, he is completely overcome by devilry knowing at last that
he has found his victim. Had a man seen old Roger Chillingworth, at that moment of his ecstasy, he

Health Information Security Essay
I have taken the following from the BMA s Confidentiality and Disclosure of Health Information Tool
Kit which appears to have no publication date.
Access to medical records is getting more and more complicated. There is multiple published
guidance from the GMC, BMA, Department of Health as well as many legal acts which come into
force:
Data Protection Act 1998: processing of information held
Access to Health Records Act 1990: rights of access to deceased patients records
Human Rights Act 1998: right to a private life not absolute
Computer Misuse Act 1990: unauthorised access to computer material (using someone else s

NHS Act 2006 (England and Wales): Secretary of State for Health has the power to make regulations
permitting disclosure of identifiable information ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The GMC also advises that disclosure without consent can be justified in the public interest to enable
medical research.
Where serious crime is involved, the decision to disclose is fairly easy: murder, rape, kidnapping,
child abuse. However, minor fraud and damage to property would not justify disclosure. Public safety
is a common area that we get involved in. Those who continue to drive with uncontrolled alcohol
dependence, day time epileptic seizures, hypoglycaemia and other such conditions where their driving
license is not valid should inform the DVLA and if they refuse then we have a duty to inform the
DVLA without consent. I always inform the patient that I am doing this.
Where there is a threat to others from a serious communicable disease eg HIV then confidentiality
may be breached to inform sexual contacts.
As Nicola states information should be kept to a minimum and only to the relevant person. The default
should be that the patient is informed unless there is a reason not

What I Learned When Evaluating My School
When I evaluate my school year, many things come to mind. I ponder about all my friends, too. I think
about the highs, lows, and the emotional times with my closest friends. I also as well, think about how
I have grown. My 7th grade year at CMS was full of concepts learned, memorable experiences, and my
personal growth. The concepts that I learned helped me grow throughout the year. One concept was
Philosophical Chairs, from my AVID class. It showed me how to compose a good debate on a subject
of your choice. You should always have a straight statement and at least a couple facts and people to
support your discussion on the subject of your choice. Another concept that I learned was Video
Production. By teaching us this we learned how to follow directions and produce and direct a great
video. You always need to be involved in this type of assignment. One more concept that I learned was
about the Salt and Gold trade in history. In these times back then gold was a very important material
that everyone wanted and it became a monumental time and part of West African history. All of these
learning techniques and skills will definitely help me move on in my career. ... Show more content on

In addition, child marriage started to become more common as well. Often Muslim rulers and officials
kidnapped Hindu girls. Due to the kidnapping of the Hindu girls, their parent had to practice child
marriage. According to the history of India, It was emphasized that the proper age for the marriage of
girls was seven and that marriage after the age of eleven or twelve was sinful. Just like the influence
of Muslim on Hindu, Christianity also has huge impact on a Hindu society. The British Colonization
of India had many effects on these beliefs. These effects ranged from a different use of the Caste
System and how it was practiced, or, on a larger scale where many Hindus converted due to the many
circumstances surrounding the conversion (Unknown, 2016) . Caste system plays a huge role in
Hinduism. There are mainly four caste The Brahmans, usually priests and scholars, are at the top. Next

Comparing How Cat And Mice Became Enemies
Have you ever had someone that has done that to you like Rat did to Cat. One story we read was Cat
and Rat: Legend of the Chinese Zodiac about how Rat cheated his friend Cat. The other we read was
How Cats and Mice Became Enemies about how the cat got made at his friend mouse for eating their
pumpkin boat. In this essay I will be comparing and contrasting the story Cat and Rat Legend of the
Zodiac and How Cat and Rat Became Enemies.
I will be comparing an contrasting the two stories. The first story Is Cat and Rat Legend of the
Chinese Zodiac. The other story was How Cat And Mice became enemies. In the story Chinese Zodiac
Cat and Rat were friends. They were friends until Rat made Cat last. Rat was not nice. He made it to
where Cat had to cross a river. In the Story How they Became Enemies They were trying to get accost
the river and they has to ride a pumpkin. It was a very wide river so it took them a long while. As they
were getting close Mice got hungry and started to eat at the pumpkin. And then the Cat woke up and

The first comparison is In both of the stories the Rat or Mouse bribed the Cat that there was fish. He
said come on come with me there will be fish. In both of the stories the Cat got mad at the Rat or
Mouse. The Cat got mad because he was pushed into water and he was bred for fish to go into the
water and there wasn t any fish. Another Comparison is that in both of the stories the Cat was afraid of
water. The only way that Rat got him to go is because he bribed him. In both of the stories they have
to cross a wide river or the widest part of the river. And the cat os afraid of the water and doesn t want
to cross it. The last comparison is that in both the stories The Cat and Rat started off as friends and
then at the end of both of the stores they ended up being enemies and not liking each other. These are
just a few similarities of the two

Myrtle Rust Research Paper
It came, It saw, It conquered The battle lines had been drawn and it had been around for about two
years before its first outbreak was witnessed on April 23, 2010 on the coast of New South Wales. The
march then continued to the next targets Victoria and Queensland. Over the course of three years, it
has become one of the biggest biosecurity threats to Australia s ecosystem. This alien intruder is
commonly known as Myrtle Rust. What is Myrtle Rust and how pernicious is it? Myrtle Rust, aka
Uredo rangelii, is a fungal plant pathogen native to South America that affects plants in Myrtaceae
family, such as Tea tree, Beach Cherry and Bottle Brush (DAFF, 2012). Its advent can be witnessed in
the form of small purple flecks and leaf spots on young leaves. It then utilizes its vicious powers to
create tiny, raised spots or pustules, which turn powdery distinctive yellow after a few days. It attacks
young and new plants and causes them to be stunted, leaves to be twisted and even leads to their
death. While the South American trees have some resistance against this aggressor, the Australian ones
are more vulnerable. It has the potential to affect up to 80 per cent of Australian native trees and the
crusade cannot be stopped once it has occupied the bush lands (NSW Scientific ... Show more content

utmost care must be taken while disposal to put a check on further spread and the best way to dispose
it would be burying on site or placing in direct sunlight for 3 4 weeks, after having sealed it in black

South Virginia s Coal Industry
The coal industry has helped fuel this nation for 150 years, and coal can be used to heat our homes,

improvement and livelihood of West Virginians since its first discovery, which is now Boone County
in 1742 by Peter Salley, more than a century before West Virginia, became a state. The coal industry
has played a major role in the state s economic, political and community history. The industry has also
been a center of debate and the impact of unfounded criticism, giving rise to battles in the arenas of
labor, environment and safety. Since 1742, West Virginia has provided our nation and the world with
the finest coal found anywhere. As of today, West Virginia s coal miners apply useful and effective
mineral removal technology that makes other countries envy their counterparts around the world. West
Virginia s exports more coal than any other state in the country. West Virginia has more longwall
mining systems than any other state. This leads the nation in underground coal productions and sets
the pace for the rest of the industry in recovery and environment protection. At the same time, West

What other purpose do we serve if not for such a cause? King Arthur (King Arthur). Secondly, Sir
Lancelot s charming and outgoing personality made him the perfect knight and ladies man. Often
more than not, Lancelot would say a charming line and be a bit presumptuous. I don t know about

Medieval era, chivalry was born and spread and lost somewhere along the way. Lancelot s chivalry
went a long way as he put his life on the line to prove his love for Lady Guinevere in one of the

Almost everything in the story has a deeper meaning or symbolism that connects to real life or reality.
In the beginning of the story, the gruesome Red Death has killed half the population of the kingdom.
King Prospero, thinking he could hide from this cruel death, locks himself, closest friends, knights,
and dames away in a concealed castle. This castle was unique in itself and had a much deeper meaning
and symbolism. The king s followers residing in the castle were high spirited and gay until the

They represent the many different stages of life. The apartments were so irregularly disposed that the
vision embraced but little more than one at a time. There was a sharp turn at every twenty or thirty
yards, and at each turn a novel effect, helps to explain what the rooms symbolize. This quote tells of
how people go through one stage of life at a time. The winding rooms are like the masqueraders
winding through their own lives, slowly, but not intentionally making their way to the black room. The
black and red room at the end of the winding castle represents the end of life. This of which, no one
can escape. None of the masqueraders ever wanted to put forth a step into this caliginous chamber,
symbolizing they did not want to reach the end of life. The inhabitants of the castle feared death. This
is illustrated through the quote, But in the western or black chamber the effect of the fire light that
streamed upon the dark hangings through the blood tinted panes was ghastly in the extreme, and
produced so wild a look upon the countenances of those who entered, that there were few of the
company bold enough to set foot within it s precincts at all (77). Eventually, the king and his followers
all reached this forlorn room when following the masked figure. It presents to us that all life comes to

Nt1330 Unit 4 Assignment
This was by far the most challenging course that I have encountered while obtaining my Master s
Degree in Educational Technology from UCMO. That is not a negative comment as this course has
actually impacted me professionally more than any other course I ve taken to date. This course has
taken more time to complete the assignments, more of my attention to detail, and more of my
creativity. The last point was the best part about this course. I consider myself to be fairly creative and
this course definitely allowed me to do that while bringing my somewhat odd personality to a
professional forum. For this I am grateful. Let s get to the good stuff, shall we? Three assignments in
particular really forced me to address the ISTE standards. I will address each assignment individually

A digital audio file is definitely a digital tool and having it available for students to either stream
online or download makes for easy accessibility for student use. The audio assignment displayed
digital citizenship under ISTE standard 5.b, which calls for the legal and ethical use of online
materials available for students. Having created the audio file myself, there is definitely no copyright
infringement. The second assignment I m going to discuss was the digital library assignment. This
assignment focused on teaching, learning and assessments under ISTE standard 2.a, which undertook
the implementation of digital learning experiences while addressing content standards. The digital
library is most definitely a digital experience for students as they can only get to it by way of the
internet. Within the digital library, there are sixteen different content standards focused on, ranging
from the difference between the inner and outer planets to the difference between series and parallel

Aztec And Mayan Civilizations
Jared Diamond (2005) defined the collapse of a society as a drastic decrease in human population
numbers and/or in political, economic, or social complexity, over a considerable area, for an extended
period of time (p.3). Civilizations have risen and fallen throughout history, however, few collapses
were as spectacular as the those of the three pre Colombian civilizations of Mesoamerica: the Inca, the
Aztec and the Maya. History has been persistent in blaming the Spanish Conquest for the loss of the
Mesoamerican civilizations. And while the arrival of the Spanish did cease the development of these
cultures in a dramatic and definitive way, in hindsight, each of these civilizations were lost as a result
of endemic warfare that occurred ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At its core the Triple Alliance was a military confederacy that offered protection to neighbours in
return for tribute (Austin Scott 2001, Brumfiel 1983: 273), fostering a dependence on the Triple
Alliance and augmenting their wealth, enabling large scale public works and expansionary conquests
beyond the Valley (Brumfiel 1983: 273). By 1502, the Aztec had established a weak dominion from
sea to sea; receiving tribute, and allowing freedom of movement for trade and military forces (Austin

Sugar Substitutes
Are Sugar Substitutes Healthier Than Sugar?
Living in a world where there is seemingly a new superfood discovered each day and where people
find solace in foods labeled diet , fat free , organic , etc. it s safe to say that people are becoming aware
of the dangers some foods face to their health. Dangers like fried foods, processed meats, salt and of
course sugar, or more importantly white refined sugar. Those wishing to satisfy their sweet tooth but
are more concerned with dietary and health concerns should choose sugar substitutes over table sugar
because they are healthier. White refined sugar, or table sugar, causes high blood glucose, teeth decay
and has even been linked to cancer. Sugar substitutes on the other hand, which are explained ... Show

One side effect common in sugar alcohols is the, for lack of a better phrase, laxative effect because it
can t be easily digested by the body. An experiment was done on forty two healthy adults of different
backgrounds because while the consequences of ingesting sorbitol were noted in children it had yet to
be well documented in adults. Presumably the reason why the children had more documented
information was because their bodies are less developed than adults therefore they experience the side
effects more heavily and easily than their elders. The outcome of the study was that adults could suffer
from sorbitol related diarrhea and gastric symptoms, symptoms which, can lead to a result of
permanent irritable bowel syndrome. Intolerance of sorbitol is also affected by ones race or ethnicity
with it being more common in non whites such as African American and Asians than in Caucasians.

The Sea Of Leptis Magna
AS THE HIPPAGOGUS sailed into the harbor of Leptis Magna, Rubio got a good glimpse of the city
and its people. It was a thriving Roman metropolis settled on the coastline of North Africa, and its
market was one of the most flourishing; ships sailing the Mediterranean brought forth valuable goods,
slaves and exotic animals. Immense quantities of olive oil also arrived in the country, as well as high
quality garum, and salted fish were brought in from the coast. This grand port, with its superb
monumental architecture, was fast becoming the busiest in the Roman Empire. The reason why Leptis
Magnus was so well fixed was its strategic position of its many dockages, control of which guaranteed
total domination of the local markets, combined ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was a never ending cycle of buying, selling and trading, and Falco never tired of the horse racing
business, because horse racing was deeply ingrained in his blood. Rubio was along for the ride, taking
a break before racing again; the racing season would officially end after the Saturnalia Games. He was
here to assist Falco in the purchase of new horses, although he was considered to be on holiday. Also
aboard the Hippagogus was Titus Buccio, much to Rubio s annoyance. The paunchy Doctore was also
along to aid Falco in the purchase of new horses, as he had some rather good connections with some
of the top stable owners. As a matter of fact, Buccio knew quite a few, as he once lived and worked in
Leptis Magnus before moving to Rome, and then on to Alexandria and the Factio Russata. He began
his racing career here, and had raced for the Reds and the Blues and for the short lived Gold Faction
winning a respectable twenty one first place purses before graduating to the great Circus Maximus of
Rome. But his career abruptly ended there after a bad accident, the accident in which he d lost half his
foot. Afterwards he worked as a stable boss for a short time before sailing off to Alexandria, seeking
his fortune on the lesser tracks of the provinces. And that s

St. Francis Of Assisi
St. Francis of Assisi
St. Francis of Assisi abandoned a life of luxury for a life devoted to Christianity after reportedly
hearing the voice of God, who commanded him to rebuild the Christian church and live in poverty. He
is the patron saint for ecologists. St. Francis was also the first person to receive the stigmata of Christ,
the marks resembling the wounds of Jesus Christ suffered when he was crucified. After living a life
devoted to God, Francis was canonized as a Saint just two years after his death on July 16, 1228, by
his former protector, Pope Gregory IX.
St. Francis father was Pietro Bernardone, a wealthy Assisian cloth merchant. His mother, Pica, little is
known, but she is said to have belonged to a noble family of Provence. Francis was born in Assisi, a
town in Italy in 1181 or 1182 the exact year is uncertain. Giovanni was the name given to Francis on
his baptism but was later altered to Francesco, through fondness it would seem for France. In any
case, since the child was renamed in infancy, the change can hardly have had anything to do with his
aptitude for learning French, as some have thought.
St. Francis of Assisi was renowned for drinking and partying in his youth. He began his life as a
confirmed sinner. He was spoiled, indulging himself with fine food, wine, and wild celebrations.
Francis had left school at the age of 14 and became a rebellious teenager who was frequently drank,
partied and broke the city curfew. He was also known for his charm

Right away sir, anything else? proclaims the servant.
No that will be all. says the man as he waves off the servant.
So is this the scene of yesteryear s society or one of today s, well in actuality it can be either. In today
s world the rich still rely on butlers and maids. It seems to be a practice that will always exist in this
world, but the question largely is not on their jobs, but if they are deemed of a different class, and

With this character Wilde show s the reader that all nobles aren t perfect and can be more flawed than
the average person, and portrayed was the fact that the rich and noble sometimes seem to abuse that
position and end up in a deeper hole than most others. Then there is his Aunt Augusta, who is a very
powerful character. Aunt Augusta in her own rights is the dominant persona in the play.
She holds the cards and plays them at her own discretion. Her character reveals to the audience that in
nobility there isn t just the man who controls things, but in many cases it is the female. She takes over
the role of leader and makes for an interesting view on the female aspect of nobility, but however there
is another aspect to female nobility, and that is inherent in Gwendolyn. She possesses all the attributes
of, plain and simply, a snob. She has the beauty, the upbringing and the turned up nose of a noble. She
symbolizes a part of nobility that most people will not talk about, but however Wilde does talk and
better yet he reveals all of the little quirks of the noble class. In Gwendolyn is the part of the class
where, nobility has turned from respect and prestige and into vanity. She has abused the prestige she
has and turned into a vain quest to be looked upon and desired. It seems that the Victorian class had
little class in the nobles, but

Analysis Of Progressive Moms In Hymn Berkin
Progressive moms composed via Hymn Berkin is about the imperative part ladies played all through
the Progressive War and how they were influenced. It clarifies all angles in a lady s existence with an
extensive variety of individual records from all kinds of different backgrounds, rich and poor. Any
individual who is occupied with the historical backdrop of the progressive war or the lives of ladies
amid this time and might want to look further into it would appreciate this book. It isn t just for
researchers however understudies too because of the magnificent way it was composed and how the
ladies stories were told.
Tune Berkin is an educator of American History at Baruch School and the Graduate focus of the city
College of New york. Berkin composed this book to uncover a side of the Progressive War that few
had seen. She trusted the Progressive War depicted an improbable perspective of sentiment, gallant
leaders and dashing aristocrat all dreams which had nothing to do with the monstrous reality. Some of
these truths were families who were torn separated, ladies who were assaulted and the general every
day life of a lady amid this period.
In the earliest reference point of Progressive Moms the parts of ladies amid the eighteenth century
were clarified. In one case from Representative Edward Hopkins it was said that he trusted his better
half had gone insane and the thinking behind it he knew was from perusing books; something he
accepted just men ought to do since

Using Kristeva s strategy of abjection the internal cavities are magnified and distorted into a grotesque
monster that have the effect of swallowing up the viewer. The symbolisation of the womb as

Art of embroidery once the most valued form..was progressively de professionalised, domesticated
and feminised, exposed both the relativity of cultural valuations and intimacy between value and
gender, (Pollock, 1988, p.25) By using a domesticated and feminised art like weaving, an art devalued
because of its gender association, the absence of a body, and the long strands of hair encroaching on
the viewer Hatoum s piece makes the connection between the physical senses and sociocultural
experience of confinement and restriction. In Islam the female body is a dangerous threat to
established order where patriarchy is the oppressor. The lack of a body in the piece represents the
socially oppressed body and puts the audience in its place. Acknowledging the stereotypes put onto
the other and subverting them to form new identities and reclaim otherness as a position of power.
This is a response from the radical space of my marginality. It is a space of resistance. It is a space I

abject and the monstrous feminine to question social constraints on women. Hatoum recognises the
strength and the insight the marginalised

Strengths And Weaknesses Essay
Working in a family business can be challenging as each person knows his coworkers quite well. At
Rabon s Barber Shop, Bill and his two sons, Cliff and Phil, discover that their individual strengths
compliment one another well, particularly in challenging situations.
Family Members Strengths Compliment One Another at Barber Shop
When asked which of the men is the best barber, Bill does not hesitate. We all are the best barber...all
three of us. People will come in and request any one of us. * He lets either son cut his own hair and
does not seem to play favorites. They have each cut hair of men, women, and children.
The Rabons have seen their share of hairstyles through the years. Our most popular cut is your basic,
regular haircut, Cliff says. They also cut many flat tops and fades, which are also known as high and
tights. Phil has cut one woman s hair three times to donate to Locks of Love. Shaving lines in hair has
also been popular, and Cliff and Phil found themselves challenged when clients would request special
designs in their hair in years past. Phil particularly remembers doing a Nike symbol. Cliff mentions
cutting a Batman bat signal. The bad thing about that was I didn t even think to charge extra! Bill
defers to his sons for special hair designs such as those.
Bill trained at a Winston Salem barber school while Cliff and Phil received their barber training in
Charlotte. The program lasted approximately nine months. It was almost like we were in nursing

The Origins Of The United Nations
Kofi Annan once said, More than ever before in human history we share a common destiny. We can
master it only if we face it together. The origins of the United Nations began seventy years, here, in
the United States. In 1945, representatives of 50 countries met in San Francisco at the United Nations
Conference. Each delegate deliberated on the proposals by the representatives of China, the Soviet
Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States at Dumbarton Oaks starting in August of 1944. The
Charter was signed in June of 1945 by each of the fifty one representatives. The U.N. was officialized
on October 24 of 1945, after the Charter had been ratified by a majority of other signatories (un.org,
2015) . While the intentions for Franklin D. Roosevelt s coined United Nations was to align the Allied
Powers and anyone else against the Axis Powers in World War II, the it s goals are a bit broader now.
While we did have a League of Nations before The United Nations, it was put in place after the Paris
Peace Conference after the first World War, there wasn t exactly much accomplished. The United
Nations now, has four main purposes: maintain international peace and security, develop healthy
relations amongst nations, solve international problems and promote human rights. While some
agendas are hard to advance, the U.N. has successfully completed several; including peacebuilding in
war ridden countries, new enforcement on the issue of climate change, and defending human

What Are The Most Common Forms Of Art During The Chinese...
The Chinese Revolution was a transforming event in China and Chinese art history and had many
colourful propaganda posters accompanying it.
Shortly after the founding of the People s Republic of China in 1949, Mao Zedong declared that art
should serve the people. This meant that works of art only existed if they served the masses and did
not criticize the state. This meant that the most common form of art during this era was brightly
coloured propaganda posters that supported Mao Zedong s communist revolution. The posters
depicted political messages that were then broadcasted and advertised to the community of China.
These posters were intended to mobilize, inform, congratulate, inspire, instruct, or appease the people.

  • 2. High School Football Essay High school football over the years has become a huge spectacle lets just talk about the DWF area or we can even get smaller to make a point if you made a 25 mile radius these local high school teams play at the Star (seats 12,000), Allen stadium (seats 18,000 cost 60 million), and McKinney s new stadium (seats 12,000 costs 69.9 million). This is just high school football these young kids playing under tremendous pressure from the start. The pressure to play high school football is immense, there are so many media outlets for these kids, and they get coverage from what it seems like all the time during the season, yet this is all just considered a recreational activity I think it has become more than that now. The pressure for coaches is high as well dealing with parents, board members, keeping up with classes as a teacher, and oh you also have to win since football is a performance based business (forewarning this will be said a lot). For example I will refer to Boobie Miles from Friday Night Lights for one final point. Boobie knew if he did not make it in football there was nothing special for him. That is why when he got hurt he still wanted to play, because he knew that s all he had. That is a lot of pressure for a 16 18 year to handle, and if they are not up for it they crack. In college the pressure only increases as well as the criticism this is where the money part comes into play more so because of the huge contracts that coaches are getting. If your team is not ... • 3. Women s Role In The French Revolution Despite being disregarded as equals by the French society, many women in France had roles in the French Revolution. Of the many women, three women in particular had pivotal functions in the founding of women s rights. During the time period a societal change regarding the rights of women had begun to take place. Pauline Leon was the daughter of a chocolate maker and an exceptionally radical women activist during the French Revolution who helped lead a, short lived, but drastic club. Etta Palm D Aelders, a Dutch woman, was a fundamental women s rights activist with a knack for debating who addressed the national assembly and legislative assembly for equality for women in the eyes of the law for both marriage and women s clubs. The letter entitled Les Droits de la Femme was sent to the Queen in hopes to acquire a new leader for women s rights. She starts off stating that she had always stood by her for her defense when havoc had ran rampant. Only one whom chance has elevated to an eminent position can assume the task of lending weight to the progress of the Rights of Woman and of hastening its success. De Gouges spoke of the function of the Queen, which is to just produce heirs for the king. She advocates for doing something even greater than that and for the Queen to help lead the women s rights movement. De Gouges knew that only someone of her status and position could successfully aid them. De Gouges writing to the Queen helped to show the complex political views and affiliations she had. Professionalism is defined as work place behaviors that result in positive business relationships. In the How Do You Rate assessments, all of my results showed a clear understanding in business etiquette. To put in my own words what professionalism means to me, it is your ability to demonstrate yourself in an appropriate, responsible, goal determined manner, while working respectively and alongside your business community. Your professionalism is presented by you and interpreted by others. The projections you portray to others can increase/decrease the value of your input in the workplace. I have developed an action plan that will guide myself to achieve the highest professionalism possible. I decided to call my brother up to ask his input on professionalism. Jason is a graduate from Georgetown University with a finance major. He is currently working for a commercial real estate finance company in Washington D.C. and is blessed with a great job and great opportunities . I asked him how he defines professionalism, and he answered, Professionalism is who you are within the company, and how your values are perceived by others. I told him about my paper and he mentioned to speak on the proper attitude to have, the appearance to show, the communication skills to have, and the motivation to achieve your goals. • 6. Scientific Paradigm In social science, a scientific paradigm refers to a framework of the mostly accepted views about a certain subject and its research should resume and how it should be done. There is what is known as conflict paradigm which states that there are two major social groups. These social groups are the ruling class and the subject class. It further states that the subject class is being ruled and oppressed by the ruling class. This has led to a conflict of interest between the two classes. The legal and political institutions are dominated by the ruling class and always look at advancing its interest. This conflict paradigm makes us view social behavior in one way but another paradigm known as interactionist makes us view it at a different angle (Miguel 2014). Natural scientists have a belief that moving from one paradigm to another indicates progress from false to a true view. Paradigm gains or loses popularity in social sciences but are discharged together seldom. Human Drug For Treating Bacterial Infections β lactam antibiotics have continued to be the most popular drug for treating bacterial infections since its discovery in 1928 by Fleming and its introduction as an antibacterial agent in the early 1950.1 Most commonly used β lactam drugs today stems from the original discovery and development of natural products from microorganisms like penicillin, cephalosporin and other β lactam based antibiotics (Figure 1). 1,2 However, soon after its commercialization and widespread usage, β lactamase secreting penicillin resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus were isolated.3 The introduction of methicillin (a β lactamase insensitive semi synthetic penicillin), to curb the resistance problem resulted in the evolution of another resistant strain known as methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).4 Figure 1: Some β lactam antibiotics Resistance to β lactams is easy for bacteria as all β lactams shared the same mode of action, which is the inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis by forming stable covalent adducts with the active site serine residues of penicillin binding proteins (PBPs). The PBPS are often divided into two partitions; the high molecular weight PBPs (HMW PBPs) and the low molecular weight PBPs (LMW PBPs). (108) He had established himself as a doctor in Boston. People felt it was Divine providence that Chillingworth came to Boston to tend for their loved Minister Dimsdale. Chillingworth became acquaintances with Dimsdale and eventually moved in with him. Chillingworth studied the Minister closely and tore through his ideas and thoughts. He now dug into the poor clergy man s heart like a miner searching for gold; or, rather, like a sexton delving into a grave, possibly in quest of a jewel that had been buried on the dead man s bosom, but likely to find nothing save mortality and corruption. In the presence of so much wickedness over the course of three years changed Chillingworth. Those who continue to drive with uncontrolled alcohol dependence, day time epileptic seizures, hypoglycaemia and other such conditions where their driving license is not valid should inform the DVLA and if they refuse then we have a duty to inform the DVLA without consent. Myrtle Rust Research Paper It came, It saw, It conquered The battle lines had been drawn and it had been around for about two years before its first outbreak was witnessed on April 23, 2010 on the coast of New South Wales. The march then continued to the next targets Victoria and Queensland. Over the course of three years, it has become one of the biggest biosecurity threats to Australia s ecosystem. This alien intruder is commonly known as Myrtle Rust. What is Myrtle Rust and how pernicious is it? Myrtle Rust, aka Uredo rangelii, is a fungal plant pathogen native to South America that affects plants in Myrtaceae family, such as Tea tree, Beach Cherry and Bottle Brush (DAFF, 2012). Its advent can be witnessed in the form of small purple flecks and leaf spots on young leaves. It then utilizes its vicious powers to create tiny, raised spots or pustules, which turn powdery distinctive yellow after a few days. It attacks young and new plants and causes them to be stunted, leaves to be twisted and even leads to their death. While the South American trees have some resistance against this aggressor, the Australian ones are more vulnerable. This quote tells of how people go through one stage of life at a time. The winding rooms are like the masqueraders winding through their own lives, slowly, but not intentionally making their way to the black room. The black and red room at the end of the winding castle represents the end of life. This of which, no one can escape. None of the masqueraders ever wanted to put forth a step into this caliginous chamber, symbolizing they did not want to reach the end of life. The inhabitants of the castle feared death. This is illustrated through the quote, But in the western or black chamber the effect of the fire light that streamed upon the dark hangings through the blood tinted panes was ghastly in the extreme, and produced so wild a look upon the countenances of those who entered, that there were few of the company bold enough to set foot within it s precincts at all (77). Eventually, the king and his followers all reached this forlorn room when following the masked figure. It presents to us that all life comes to an end, no matter how badly one may want to live on ... That is not a negative comment as this course has actually impacted me professionally more than any other course I ve taken to date. This course has taken more time to complete the assignments, more of my attention to detail, and more of my creativity. The last point was the best part about this course. I consider myself to be fairly creative and this course definitely allowed me to do that while bringing my somewhat odd personality to a professional forum. For this I am grateful. St. Francis Of Assisi St. Francis of Assisi St. Francis of Assisi abandoned a life of luxury for a life devoted to Christianity after reportedly hearing the voice of God, who commanded him to rebuild the Christian church and live in poverty. He is the patron saint for ecologists. St. Francis was also the first person to receive the stigmata of Christ, the marks resembling the wounds of Jesus Christ suffered when he was crucified. After living a life devoted to God, Francis was canonized as a Saint just two years after his death on July 16, 1228, by his former protector, Pope Gregory IX. St. Francis father was Pietro Bernardone, a wealthy Assisian cloth merchant. His mother, Pica, little is known, but she is said to have belonged to a noble family of Provence. Francis was born in Assisi, a town in Italy in 1181 or 1182 the exact year is uncertain. Giovanni was the name given to Francis on his baptism but was later altered to Francesco, through fondness it would seem for France. In any case, since the child was renamed in infancy, the change can hardly have had anything to do with his aptitude for learning French, as some have thought. St. Francis of Assisi was renowned for drinking and partying in his youth. He began his life as a confirmed sinner. He was spoiled, indulging himself with fine food, wine, and wild celebrations. Francis had left school at the age of 14 and became a rebellious teenager who was frequently drank, partied and broke the city curfew. He was also known for his charm ...
