The decision helps to manage the business more efficiently. You will find that smaller companies may
not have specific departments to deal with particular functions, but may have key individuals to deal
with specific requirements of those functions. All companies have hierarchies; this means that there
will always be a boss or someone to report to
Now that the organisation knows what it is going to deliver to the customer and how, they shape the
organisation in the most effective way to fit what the customer expects
Therefore, based on what the business is delivering to its customers, the organisation can have any of
a group of structures, for example: o Hierarchical, functional structure o Inverted pyramid o Matrix
structure
Pyramid structure (see example below) o Each department has a specific task o Each manager
normally has a group of staff working for him / her o People have often got very limited control o The
executive team at the top decides what the vision, direction and strategy of the organisation will be o
There are many managers to motivate and manage people
The workers are at the bottom

The biggest advantage of this structure is that each individual report to only one superior in the

Offerer Acceptance (Law)
Offer and acceptance is one the main 7 essentials to create a legally binding contract since a contract is
based on agreement. It is also an essential for a court to arbitrate problems. An offer is a manifestation
(orally, in writing, or by conduct) of willingness to enter into bargain, which justifies another person s
understanding of assent to that bargain is invited and will conclude the transaction. An Offeror is the
party who makes the offer. An offeree is the party who receives the offer and is asked to accept it and
thus form a contract. An offer can be either bilateral (made to a specific person(s)) or unilateral form
(made to the whole world). (Frey Frey, 2001)

As Anjali refers to the offer made on the notice board the notice on the staff notice board said that the
car would be sold to the first staff member who pays the money as she did not come with the money it
might make the acceptance invalid.
In Kavitha s case she conveyed her acceptance clearly in verbal form while she arrived with a cheque
which she handed over to Manuja therefore as she has accepted the offer validly and an agreement
exists thus Kavitha can sue Manjula for Breach of contract.
The offerors act of withdrawing an offer is referred to as revocation. Unless an offer is irrevocable, the
offeror can revoke the offer even if he or she has promised to keep the offer open (Miller Jentz, 2010).
Revocation of offers should be made the same way offers were made as established in the case of
Shuey v US. Manjula s revocation of the offer fails because an offer cannot be reversed once it has
been accepted i.e. in a case like Payne v Cave the highest bidder could withdraw his bid before the
hammer was brought down (before acceptance) but in the case of Bryne v Van Tienhoven the acceptor
could not revoke his offer because he already accepted it. Thus Kavitha will be able to successfully
sue for breach of

Re: CPA Report
Below I have summarized an explanation to the questions that came about during your examination of
a subsidiary that has been set up as a corporation.
The methodology used to determine deferred taxes.
The deferred taxes reported are a temporary difference. The deferred taxes were calculated based on
what needed to be reported versus what has been posted to the corporations books. The temporary
difference is the difference between the tax basis of an asset or liability and its reported (carrying or
book) amount in the financial statements, which will result in taxable amounts or deductible amounts
in future years (Kieso, el. 2007, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The corporation and stockholders have the tax burden in a corporation. In whole, from the owners
point of view, it is more sensible to form a corporation that has a little more flexibility and less
liability versus a partnership or sole proprietorship.

Social Injustice In The American Revolution
Throughout our cake, we had two major themes that were evident, social injustice and political
grievances. To demonstrate social injustice, we used medals for the Latin American Revolution,
Chains for the American Revolution, and a tennis ball for the French Revolution. To represent
economic inequality, we used tea bags for the American revolution, bread for the French revolution
and money for the Latin American Revolution.
For the American Revolution, The chains represented the role African American slaves played in the
revolution. The revolution motivated African American resistance against slavery. The tea bags were
symbolic to the Boston Tea Party when Massachusetts colonist protested against the Tea Act of 1773
or more specifically Taxation without Representation by dumping chests of tea into the Boston
Harbor. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The gold medal represented the criollos and peninsulares which were the highest classes in the social
system. There, men who were born in either Spain or portugal held the highest offices and
military/political position. The silver medal represented the Mestizos/Mulattos. This position consisted
of mixed Europeans and Indians who served the peninsulares/criollos. Lastly the gold medal portrayed
the lowest class, the Africans/natives. This class was not only the lowest but also the largest. The
people in this class were not identified as citizens but did do most of the labor. To demonstrate
economic inequality, money was put on the cake to show mercantilism. Spain used mercantilism when
they took goods from Latin America and sold those goods to make their own profits. Latin America,
on the other hand did not gain any money except goods that Spain decided to give

Summary Of Reproductionry In Auspicious Eggs
In society reproduction is one of the most important things that keeps our world s population growing.
In these three short dystopian stories there are different approaches on ideas on what reproduction
should be like and how it should be approached. Reproduction rights have an immensely big impact
on each of these stories in different circumstances but are very much alike. These three different
stories have different rules for the way they run their reproduction systems in their communities. Ten
with a Flag the way the society has to do with reproduction is by a ranking system. In this case the
people in the story find out how great their child is by ranking, so if the child is a ten it s perfect and if
the baby has a perfect ten with a flag, the flag means that the baby might have something troubled or
wrong about its persona. Amaryllis is about keeping society to a minimum. Auspicious Eggs is about
the Catholic Church and its involvement the reproductive system. All of these stories have harsh
endings if an individual can t do something to meet society s specifications about reproduction rules.
In Auspicious Eggs it describes if a baby is not fertile the baby does not have the right to live, if
women or men aren t fertile and they cannot produce new beings they are killed as a result. Ten With a
Flag, the flag represents something wrong with the newborn meaning that something is wrong with
the child or something terrible is going to happen to the child in the

Apollo 11 Research Paper
When Apollo astronauts carried samples of the moon s surface back to earth, the rocks and sediments
has shown something incredible. It contained clues to how Earth and the Moon formed as well as the
history of the Sun. The scientists looked for what life would be like if humans could live on the moon.
The Apollo 11 mission brought back the first geologic samples from the Moon back to Earth.
Astronauts collected twenty two kilograms of material which acquired samples of the lunar soil, fifty
rock samples and two core tubes which was found below the moon s surface. All the samples was not
composed with any water which provided no evidence for living organisms in the Moon s history.

The astronauts found on the regolith that the highlands have aluminum in its rocks and the regolith in

two main types of rocks found on the Apollo 11 site, basalts and breccias. The first type of rock was
basalts were are solidified from molten lava. Basalts are made up of pyroxene and plagioclase which
was formed by two chemically different magma sources and are dark gray which is why the Moon
contains dark areas. The second type of rock are breccias which is composed of fragments of older
rocks by the heat and pressure of meteorites. These samples from the regolith and maria provided facts
that the maria was covered in lava flows and in the highlands provided how earth was like like 4.5

Transcendentalism, An American Philosophy
American philosophers during the early to mid 1800s embraced a new liberal movement known as
transcendentalism that posed a silent threat to the current social and political institutions of the time
period. Henry David Thoreau acted as the father of this new philosophy that would go on to transform
the social structure of America into what it is and is still becoming today. Transcendentalism is an
American philosophy that humankind has an innate sense of being and knowledge of the world around
them that extends beyond the tangible, physical realm that can simply be seen, heard, tasted, touched,
or felt. This idea disregards logic and reason, focusing almost entirely on intuition and imagination.
Therefore, according to 26f. Transcendentalism, An American Philosophy, a transcendentalist is a
person who accepts these ideas not as religious beliefs but as a way of understanding life relationships.
They drew the basis of their belief system from a periodical called, The Dial, which was written by a
radical feminist who pushed male and female equality in nearly all of her publications.
Transcendentalism remained entrenched in its study and discussion until Henry David Thoreau tried to
physically put it into practice ( 26f ). Henry David Thoreau was a strange, gentle, fanatic, selfish,
[dreaming], [stubborn individualist], as well as a Harvard graduate at the top of his class ( 26f.

What Is The Opinion Of As I Lay Dying
Differing Opinions of Truth Reveal that There is No Universal Goodness
As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner is famous for its use of modernism as one story is told from a
multitude of individual perspectives in a stream of consciousness format. Faulkner s modernistic
writing allows the reader to delve deep into the true emotions of characters and gain a profound
understanding of events and intentions. The individual perspectives show the reader the true beliefs of
people and the communities that they fit into, which reveals fundamental differences in opinion
without saying who is truly good or bad. The community of the family believes what they are doing is
good because it is the best that they can and should do, while the community of all outsiders expresses
that the family s actions are actually wrong. Additionally, the community of women in the novel
generally express that there is no excuse for the family s actions, while the community of men in the
novel generally see ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Public Opinion of the Affordable Care Act
Nearly two years ago the enactment of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was signed into
place by President Obama. This signature placed by President Obama has never rested especially well
with the American public. As to be expected, the views on health care laws are colored by
partisanship. Overall, the opinions towards the health car law have wavered slightly since the passing
in March of 2010, and support has yet to reach favorable in 2014.
Role of Public Opinion
Even with the public being well aware of the elements of the health care law, particularly individual
mandates, there is still a lack of understanding of it. According to Pinto (2013), 41 percent of
Americans felt they had a good understanding of what the new law entailed, but even after two years
and implementation the number has increased just six points to 47 percent. The purpose behind public
opinion was to make more affordable health care insurance for uninsured citizens originally (Pinto,
2013). Supporters of the Affordable Care Act believed that government run insurance companies could
successfully lower rates by using greater leverage than the private industry (Pinto, 2013). Supporters
of such public plans, believed that a small set of companies had control for local health insurance
markets. Having such public opinion at such a huge national level meant insurance companies would
cooperate. Many Democratic Politicians were publically in favor of public opinion for many reasons

Thesis On Braamfontein
Introduction
This paper is the result of a research gap regarding the topic of Braamfontein from an information
architecture point of view. What Terence and I concluded, after wildly searching for relevant sources
that would subsequently inform my Interaction Design (IxD) dissertation, was that credible
information pertaining to Braamfontein is undeniably few and far between. Well, no, it s there, but the
information wasn t exactly what we were looking for. In fact there has been extensive research done
around the topic of urban planning, the shift from public to private, the ongoing urban renewal
initiative, the over arching theme of gentrification, and so on, but there was little to do with role of
information in Braamfontein. Writing about the history of Braamfontein was just as scarce. It s no
wonder that there is a general lack of interest within the informational scope of Braamfontein, where

Makes sense for businesses for being cheaper it has thus replaced other forms of sugar in a
disturbingly large number of manufactured foods. Even worse is that most high fructose corn syrup is
made from genetically modified corn.
H.F.C.S. has replaced regular table sugar, honey, and similar sweeteners or anything similar at an
alarmingly high rate. Prolonged consumption of H.F.C.S. as we are now learning can cause long term
damage to the body.
The Ongoing debate: Is High Fructose Corn Syrup worse for you than sugar?
People often debate a comparison of high fructose corn syrup and sugar. Seems to be more an act of
stupidity than well founded debate. Regarding your health processed foods are evil, and at the top of
the list sits H.F.C.S. Excess consumption is linked to obesity, diabetes, premature aging and excess
abdominal fat among other things.
However sugar has been linked to some of these problems too but I personally avoid H.F.C.S. at all
costs, but not necessarily sugar.
I choose to minimize sugar greatly instead of avoiding altogether. In my opinion the two things that
are the worst possible things to ingest that are FDA approved are H.F.C.S. and trans fat. Avoid them at
all costs. They cause the most biochemical damage of all

The Healing Of Americ A Global Quest For Better, Cheaper,...
In The Healing of America: A Global Quest for Better, Cheaper, and Fairer Health Care (2009), the
author of the book, T.R. Reid travels to industrialized democracies to discuss the different methods of
health care delivery system used in these developed countries and compare them to the health care
system of the United States. According to T.R. Reid (2009), the thesis of this book is that we can find
cost effective ways to cover every American by borrowing ideas from foreign models of health care
(Reid, 2009, p. 11). This thesis illustrates that the American health care system can manage health care
costs effectively and provide care to all by using some of the successful health care delivery models of
foreign nations. The purpose of this book analysis is to discuss the four different health care models
presented in this book and provide my prioritization or ranking of these models. This analysis also
aims to investigate a case known as the Nikki White case described in this book and discuss the
lessons learned from it. Furthermore, this analysis is going to provide my remarks on the, An Apple a

Asch Conformity Research Paper
Conformity is Key
Back in the year 1951, a psychologist by the name of Solomon Asch first began to investigate the
theory of conformity. He opened up a whole new door in the field of psychology and his findings later
influenced many other great psychologists such as Stanley Milgram (Slater 40) . Asch s experiments
made many heads turn and scientists began to wonder more and more about the human brain.
However, I think the biggest question with Asch s Conformity experiment would be: With so many
small flaws, could his work really be considered credible in today s society?
First off I ll explain a little of what the Asch conformity experiments really conducted of. In each
experiment, an innocent minded subject was put in a room with many other participants that were
actually actors in the experiment. The subjects that were tested were told that they were taking part in
a vision test. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is shown in multiple studies that women are slightly more susceptible to conform because they feel
a higher need to be accepted in society (Vaughan Hogg 2013). While this is true, the conformity
distinction between male and female relies upon familiarities. For instance if you are asking women to
name a type of wrench, they are more likely to go along with the group s answer because a wrench is
more of a masculine object. It works the same way with men: If you were to ask men to name a
specific type of needlework, they d be more likely to conform because they are unfamiliar with objects
more feminine. However, if you were to ask both men and women about something neutral (i.e. a
famous person) usually the percent of conformity would be rather equal, except maybe a little higher

Analysis Of Ace Ventura And School Of Rock
In both, Ace Ventura and School of Rock, comedy is proposed from the outset; even the title and
movie cover are comedic. Setting up pretend worlds creates distances for the audience allowing them
to laugh at the comedies. In Ace Ventura, the main character, Ace Ventura, is a pet detective hired to
find a missing dolphin who is kidnapped before the Superbowl. This concept suggest absurdity at both
the ridiculousness of someone kidnapping a dolphin and a private pet detective being hired to find it.
This concept also sets up a lot of jokes throughout the movie; Ace has a special bond with animals, an
ability to communicate with animals, and in many ways acts like an animal, especially a dog. At no
point is the concept of the movie taken seriously by the audience so the outrageousness of Ace s
character and his actions are cartoonish.
This is a very different tone from School of Rock, where the movie is set in a somewhat more realistic
world that the audience is able to identify with. School of Rock creates comedy through a fish out of
water scenario where the immature, rock and roll loving, Dewey impersonates his roommate, Ned,
and becomes a substitute teacher for ten year olds. The scheming Dewey devises a plan to create a
rock band out of his class and win a contest, setting up multiple comedic approaches.
The role of Ace Ventura seems to be written especially for Jim Carrey as it takes advantage of all of
his physical comedy gifts. Jim Carrey honed his comedic

The Components Of The Gas Suspension Preheater
The key component of the gas suspension preheater is the cyclone. A cyclone is a conical vessel into
which a dust bearing gas stream is passed tangentially. This produces a vortex within the vessel. The
gas leaves the vessel through a co axial vortex finder . The solids are thrown to the outside edge of the
vessel by centrifugal action, and leave through a valve in the vertex of the cone.
Cyclones were originally used to clean up the dust laden gases leaving simple dry process kilns. If,
instead, the entire feed of rawmix is encouraged to pass through the cyclone, it is found that a very
efficient heat exchange takes place: the gas is efficiently cooled, hence producing less waste of heat to
the atmosphere, and the rawmix is efficiently heated. This efficiency is further increased if a number
of cyclones are connected in series
The number of cyclones stages used in practice varies from 1 to 6. Energy, in the form of fan power, is
required to draw the gases through the string of cyclones, and at a string of 6 cyclones, the cost of the
added fan power needed for an extra cyclone exceeds the efficiency advantage gained.
ROTARY KILN :THE HEART OF CEMENT MANUFACTURING
The kiln is a cylindrical vessel, inclined slightly to the horizontal, which is rotated slowly about its
axis. The material to be processed is fed into the upper end of the cylinder. As the kiln rotates, material

Critical Analysis Of Langston Hughes s Note On Commercial...
Even after the Harlem Renaissance was off the forefront of the nation s mind, Langston Hughes
continued to comment on the demoralization that white people have historically done unto the African
American community. In his 1940 poem, Note on Commercial Theater , Hughes looked to the writers
for Broadway and the presentations of commercial theater and saw the appropriation of black culture
and perversion of music introduced by the Harlemites. These writers made the music whiter while
stripping the credit from those who established it. Despite not having the recognition of white people
at that time, Hughes still knew that someday somebody ll / Stand up and talk about me, / And write
about me even if it would only be himself (Note on Commercial Theatre 12 14). Somehow,
somewhere, someone would always be able to identify the wrongs white people inflict on others and
be able to pay homage to the struggle while still celebrating their culture. His awareness of the ability
of the black community to join together and acknowledge progression demonstrates his confidence in
that community as a whole. It does not matter whether or not his own words are heard in his time, but
instead that someone else will take them to heart and further the progression towards a better situation.
The promise of a future ties the entire black community together towards more opportunities for
growth.
Angelou herself was merely twelve years old at the time of Hughes publishing Note on Commercial

Introduction
ISIS in recent times a terrorist organization that has been carrying out fatal beheadings, attacks and
sending threats to the Western world in no uncertain terms. In particular, their anger is mostly aimed at
the United States of America because of previous issues with that country. To be more specific this
was when the US pulled out of Iraq some years ago. ISIS did not appreciate the presence and the
subsequent takeover of Iraq ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are only playing a consultative role to the Iraqi armed forces and Syrian rebels that are fighting
them in Syria.
This book seeks to define ISIS, who they are and what their purpose is. From their point of view, this
terrorist organization seems to be engaging in a religious war against their enemies. However the UK
and US do not see the war as a religious one, but mainly one that rids the world of the new age
terrorists.
They are called new age terrorists as they have broken ranks from the original group al Qaeda. This
gives people cause for concern, as their new age methods tend to be more vicious and radical that then
of the original group.
The operation of their group is controlled similar to a business and they also have strengths in
numbers. Therefore, with their current resources in the area and their growing numbers, they are
slowly becoming a force to be reckoned with. This means that at any given time they are capable of
carrying out an attack on the western world. The concern is that they want to have their voices heard
and this means by any means necessary they will try to get the world s attention.
This group is unlike any other the world has seen before due to its operations. No other terrorist group
has been so organized to get things done rather quickly and effectively. Their reach extends outside of
those countries and has been actively trying to recruit new

The Crucible Is Still Relevant Today
The Crucible, a play by Arthur Miller later turned into a major Hollywood movie, explores the politics
of fear, social norms, and the fight to recapture a man s moral compass. Miller paints his story using
the small tight knit community of Salem circa 1692 as his canvass, brilliantly weaving historical fact
and fiction to portray a scenario not unlike events seen since. The infamous witch hunts of 1692 and
wild accusations of a subversive culture that threatened to tear away at the fabric of society are at the
center of the film. Originally conceived in the 1950 s during the red scare, it is well known and
accepted that Miller sought to highlight the similarities with the ongoing persecutions of accused
communist sympathizers. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the early post 9/11 days, the country was engulfed in paranoia about who would try to destroy their
way of life. Middle Easterners were viewed suspiciously any where they went. Prison camps filled
with suspected terrorists sprang up in foreign countries. Bush and his administration were the modern
day equivalent of Abigail to some extent. In some ways terrorism was the new communism. Threats
from abroad were pounded in to the American psyche. Calls to increase border security, put up a fence
along the Mexican border, communities torn between allowing a Mosque to be built or not, questions
of allegiance to the State, questions of patriotism: all of this was summed up when Bush exclaimed
you were either with us or with the terrorists. Fear was utilized by the Right, just like in the 50 s, to
push their agenda. Fear was used by common villagers in The Crucible to get what they wanted and
persuade the masses to accept their side of the story over any others. Miller faced a lot of criticism
when his play went public. The initial response to Miller s The Crucible revolved around the charge
that such an analogy was specious that there never were any witches but there certainly are
Communists (Miller 160). But it was a flawed argument from the start as Miller points out [In the 17th
century, however, the existence of witches was never questioned by the loftiest minds in Europe and

California Compare And Contrast
Utah / California
Compare and Contrast
Utah and California have numerous similarities and differences from post Native American settlement,
religious affiliation, to demographic concentrations. Both states are in the western United States but I
believe that there are more obvious differences between the states then similarities between them. A
majority of lower and mid western US states has seen the exploration efforts of the Spanish, but other
then this the settlement efforts of Utah and California have a bigger presence of distinctions. Utah can
be seen being settled by the Latter Day Saints to escape religious persecution from those in the US
east, while California rather than religion experienced immigration and settlement due to the

Marijuana has been a controversial public debate for many years of whether it should become

Atonement Theme
The novella The Atonement by Ian McEwan produces a reoccurring theme of lost innocence. The
children in the novella lose their childhood innocence after one wrongful accusation which tears the
Tallis family apart. The setting in the novella develops the mood to be light and airy as the Tallis
family resides in the English countryside. Nonetheless, the light and airy mood changes to one that is
dark and full of mystery as the Second World War starts. Each character is tested by themselves and
others to see if they can keep their innocence. But, each child grows further away from their childhood
selves as their lies and misdeeds grow. With the use of literally devices McEwan shows how the loss
of childhood innocence is harmful. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is a conflict she has with herself while she is becoming an adult. Briony invites readers into her
feelings but later contradicts herself as she hides all her emotions from view. Since she is still a child
she tends to take things for their literal meaning. However, she is ecstatic to become an adult since she
is determined to use feelings in her stories which would help her stories to begin the transformation
from princes and princesses to mature topics. Briony loses her innocence when she discovered that
reality is not like the stories she read when growing up. Her innocence is taken from her when she
realizes that by casting Robbie as a villain in her plot and by forcing him to be a villain in real life has
different outcomes than a story. Briony loses her innocence mentally as she still holds on to the fact
everything is okay as if she rewrites Robbie s and Cecilia s relationship a happy ending versus a tragic
ending the lovers survive and flourish (371). By changing the ending Briony tries to extinguish her
grief that she affected Robbie s and Cecilia s life and torn apart the Tallis family. Briony is learning
how to survive without her innocence.
Another perception is of Robbie Turner a family friend of the Tallis. He is of lower social class than
the Tallis. During the time of Lola s rape, Robbie was out looking for Lola s brothers who ran away.
But as Briony had cast Robbie as a villain in her story she was determined to make him a villain

The Causes And Cons Of Jewish Groups In Jesus
Jewish Groups 1 In Jesus time, there were many religious and social groups who opposed His
teachings. When we read these types of confrontations with Jesus we automatically envision these
groups as evil people when in reality they weren t at all. In this report, we will study and analyze the
main religious groups that were present during Jesus era and why they might have disagreed with
Him. 2 The Pharisees were one group of people that had difficulties and problems with Jesus
teachings. The Pharisees were ultra Orthodox men who shunned the unrighteous and made up many
rules on how to be holy. There were two main groups of Pharisees the Shammai and the Hillel. The
Shammai believed that only the Jews were loved by God and that Gentiles shouldn t convert to
Judaism. Because of this belief, the Shammai grew to hate the Gentiles and even made edicts so that
the two were separated. The Shammai is also known to have political ties and a close relation to the
zealots who wanted to overthrow Rome. The second and less influential groups of Pharisees were the
Hillel which focused more on people as opposed to rules. They were much more open to Gentile
converts and Jesus acted more positively with this group than the other. The potential conflicts of
these groups would be when Jesus would heal someone on the Sabbath the Shammaiites would see
this as Jesus doing work on the Sabbath while the Hillelites would see this as a good deed which was
permitted on the Sabbath. Another point

The Plight Of Low Income Individuals And Their Families
Saul Alvarez English 101 The Plight of Low Income Individuals and Their Families According to the
PRB article U.S. Low Income Working Families Increasing , 42.7% of people live below the poverty
line, with 32.1% of them living 200% below the poverty line; this group is categorized as the low
income group.(PRB) 59% of low income working families have one or more minority parents. Living
in a low income community limits one s standard of living through academic gaps, the selection of
food available, an ever present fear of victimization , and a lack of resources available to both children
and adults. The differences in academic gaps between children and teenagers from low income
neighborhoods and affluent neighborhoods present themselves in the schools the students attend. A
study by the Department of Education showed that students in low income areas did not have access to
the same rigorous courses, and when they did, the resources available to the low income students was
lacking compared to the resources the students in high income neighborhoods had access to. In the
low income areas black and Hispanic students were twice as likely to have teachers with less
experience, with one or two years in the profession, compared to schools in affluent neighborhoods
with well to do white students. Another thing increasing the academic gap is that only 22 percent of
local districts reported offering pre kindergarten or other early learning programs for low income
children.

Hamlet Act 1 Scene 1
SCENE ONE
1. The first scene starts off with Bernardo and Francisco, soldiers on duty. Bernardo is telling
Francisco to go to bed, but just after, they are joined by Horatio and Marcellus. Francisco leaves and
the other three men continue to talk about ghosts and apparitions. Horatio expresses his disbelief in
ghosts, but this soon changes when they are encountered with one. Horatio seems a bit scared, but
because he is the scholar, Bernardo tells him to talk to the ghost, as that is the only way it will
communicate with them. They believe it is the ghost of the late King of Denmark, but when Horatio
suggests this, it seems offended and goes away. The men seem to take the ghosts as a warning about
the threat of attack from Norway, because Prince ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Legalizing Marijuana Argumentative Analysis

With a wide variety in cannabis strains, the side effects of each strain differ from one another based on
many different factors. Attempting to pin point how each strain effects an individual is more
complicated then it appears. With cannabis being a very historic herb, the plant in itself as evolved
substantially over time and with advances in today s technology growers have the ability to cross
bread plants creating new strain or even create synthetic versions of cannabis. Since it is rather
difficult to pin point the side effects that every strain can produce most of these strains all share some
similar effects as a whole. Physically marijuana can affect your respiratory system causing respiratory
system to become irritated or if ingested can cause nausea and liver complications that can scar liver
tissue. At the same time studies have shown that cannabis can have slight effects on the immune
system, weakening the immune system. Marijuana has also been known to speed up the heart rate
which can pose a huge problem with individuals with heart conditions. Mentally marijuana releases a
chemical called euphoria which helps to stimulate dopamine in the brain. This high would has been
known to increase feelings of paranoia, hallucinations, and difficulties concentrating. Some users have
reported to have difficulties finishing task little alone remembering the task assigned. Some users have
difficulties remembering the high at all. These are all common effects that most strains have in
common with each other. Although many of these effects may sound rather intimidating and paint a
negative picture about marijuana, if monitored correctly and responsibly marijuana also has many
great beneficial uses as well. Overall marijuana, like other substances legal and illegal, is not %100

The decision helps to manage the business more efficiently. You will find that smaller companies may not have specific departments to deal with particular functions, but may have key individuals to deal with specific requirements of those functions. All companies have hierarchies; this means that there will always be a boss or someone to report to Now that the organisation knows what it is going to deliver to the customer and how, they shape the organisation in the most effective way to fit what the customer expects Therefore, based on what the business is delivering to its customers, the organisation can have any of a group of structures, for example: o Hierarchical, functional structure o Inverted pyramid o Matrix structure Pyramid structure (see example below) o Each department has a specific task o Each manager normally has a group of staff working for him / her o People have often got very limited control o The executive team at the top decides what the vision, direction and strategy of the organisation will be o There are many managers to motivate and manage people The workers are at the bottom A typical functional organisational structure The biggest advantage of this structure is that each individual report to only one superior in the organisation. • 3. Offerer Acceptance (Law) Offer and acceptance is one the main 7 essentials to create a legally binding contract since a contract is based on agreement. It is also an essential for a court to arbitrate problems. An offer is a manifestation (orally, in writing, or by conduct) of willingness to enter into bargain, which justifies another person s understanding of assent to that bargain is invited and will conclude the transaction. An Offeror is the party who makes the offer. An offeree is the party who receives the offer and is asked to accept it and thus form a contract. An offer can be either bilateral (made to a specific person(s)) or unilateral form (made to the whole world). (Frey Frey, 2001) An invitation to treat or invitation to chaffer is where a person ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As Anjali refers to the offer made on the notice board the notice on the staff notice board said that the car would be sold to the first staff member who pays the money as she did not come with the money it might make the acceptance invalid. In Kavitha s case she conveyed her acceptance clearly in verbal form while she arrived with a cheque which she handed over to Manuja therefore as she has accepted the offer validly and an agreement exists thus Kavitha can sue Manjula for Breach of contract. The offerors act of withdrawing an offer is referred to as revocation. Unless an offer is irrevocable, the offeror can revoke the offer even if he or she has promised to keep the offer open (Miller Jentz, 2010). Revocation of offers should be made the same way offers were made as established in the case of Shuey v US. Manjula s revocation of the offer fails because an offer cannot be reversed once it has been accepted i.e. in a case like Payne v Cave the highest bidder could withdraw his bid before the hammer was brought down (before acceptance) but in the case of Bryne v Van Tienhoven the acceptor could not revoke his offer because he already accepted it. Thus Kavitha will be able to successfully sue for breach of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The methodology used to determine deferred taxes. The deferred taxes reported are a temporary difference. The deferred taxes were calculated based on what needed to be reported versus what has been posted to the corporations books. The temporary difference is the difference between the tax basis of an asset or liability and its reported (carrying or book) amount in the financial statements, which will result in taxable amounts or deductible amounts in future years (Kieso, el. 2007, ... • 6. Social Injustice In The American Revolution Throughout our cake, we had two major themes that were evident, social injustice and political grievances. To demonstrate social injustice, we used medals for the Latin American Revolution, Chains for the American Revolution, and a tennis ball for the French Revolution. To represent economic inequality, we used tea bags for the American revolution, bread for the French revolution and money for the Latin American Revolution. For the American Revolution, The chains represented the role African American slaves played in the revolution. The revolution motivated African American resistance against slavery. The tea bags were symbolic to the Boston Tea Party when Massachusetts colonist protested against the Tea Act of 1773 or more specifically Taxation without Representation by dumping chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. ... • 7. Summary Of Reproductionry In Auspicious Eggs In society reproduction is one of the most important things that keeps our world s population growing. In these three short dystopian stories there are different approaches on ideas on what reproduction should be like and how it should be approached. Reproduction rights have an immensely big impact on each of these stories in different circumstances but are very much alike. These three different stories have different rules for the way they run their reproduction systems in their communities. Ten with a Flag the way the society has to do with reproduction is by a ranking system. In this case the people in the story find out how great their child is by ranking, so if the child is a ten it s perfect and if the baby has a perfect ten with a flag, the flag means that the baby might have something troubled or wrong about its persona. Amaryllis is about keeping society to a minimum. Auspicious Eggs is about the Catholic Church and its involvement the reproductive system. All of these stories have harsh endings if an individual can t do something to meet society s specifications about reproduction rules. In Auspicious Eggs it describes if a baby is not fertile the baby does not have the right to live, if women or men aren t fertile and they cannot produce new beings they are killed as a result. The Apollo 11 mission brought back the first geologic samples from the Moon back to Earth. Astronauts collected twenty two kilograms of material which acquired samples of the lunar soil, fifty rock samples and two core tubes which was found below the moon s surface. There was two main types of rocks found on the Apollo 11 site, basalts and breccias. The first type of rock was basalts were are solidified from molten lava. Basalts are made up of pyroxene and plagioclase which was formed by two chemically different magma sources and are dark gray which is why the Moon contains dark areas. The second type of rock are breccias which is composed of fragments of older rocks by the heat and pressure of meteorites. These samples from the regolith and maria provided facts that the maria was covered in lava flows and in the highlands provided how earth was like like 4.5 billion years ago. • 9. Transcendentalism, An American Philosophy American philosophers during the early to mid 1800s embraced a new liberal movement known as transcendentalism that posed a silent threat to the current social and political institutions of the time period. Henry David Thoreau acted as the father of this new philosophy that would go on to transform the social structure of America into what it is and is still becoming today. Transcendentalism is an American philosophy that humankind has an innate sense of being and knowledge of the world around them that extends beyond the tangible, physical realm that can simply be seen, heard, tasted, touched, or felt. This idea disregards logic and reason, focusing almost entirely on intuition and imagination. Therefore, according to 26f. Transcendentalism, An American Philosophy, a transcendentalist is a person who accepts these ideas not as religious beliefs but as a way of understanding life relationships. They drew the basis of their belief system from a periodical called, The Dial, which was written by a radical feminist who pushed male and female equality in nearly all of her publications. Transcendentalism remained entrenched in its study and discussion until Henry David Thoreau tried to physically put it into practice ( 26f ). The individual perspectives show the reader the true beliefs of people and the communities that they fit into, which reveals fundamental differences in opinion without saying who is truly good or bad. The community of the family believes what they are doing is good because it is the best that they can and should do, while the community of all outsiders expresses that the family s actions are actually wrong. Overall, the opinions towards the health car law have wavered slightly since the passing in March of 2010, and support has yet to reach favorable in 2014. Role of Public Opinion Even with the public being well aware of the elements of the health care law, particularly individual mandates, there is still a lack of understanding of it. According to Pinto (2013), 41 percent of Americans felt they had a good understanding of what the new law entailed, but even after two years and implementation the number has increased just six points to 47 percent. The purpose behind public opinion was to make more affordable health care insurance for uninsured citizens originally (Pinto, 2013). Supporters of the Affordable Care Act believed that government run insurance companies could successfully lower rates by using greater leverage than the private industry (Pinto, 2013). Supporters of such public plans, believed that a small set of companies had control for local health insurance markets. Having such public opinion at such a huge national level meant insurance companies would cooperate. Many Democratic Politicians were publically in favor of public opinion for many reasons ... • 13. Thesis On Braamfontein Introduction This paper is the result of a research gap regarding the topic of Braamfontein from an information architecture point of view. What Terence and I concluded, after wildly searching for relevant sources that would subsequently inform my Interaction Design (IxD) dissertation, was that credible information pertaining to Braamfontein is undeniably few and far between. Well, no, it s there, but the information wasn t exactly what we were looking for. In fact there has been extensive research done around the topic of urban planning, the shift from public to private, the ongoing urban renewal initiative, the over arching theme of gentrification, and so on, but there was little to do with role of information in Braamfontein. Reid travels to industrialized democracies to discuss the different methods of health care delivery system used in these developed countries and compare them to the health care system of the United States. According to T.R. Reid (2009), the thesis of this book is that we can find cost effective ways to cover every American by borrowing ideas from foreign models of health care (Reid, 2009, p. 11). This thesis illustrates that the American health care system can manage health care costs effectively and provide care to all by using some of the successful health care delivery models of foreign nations. He opened up a whole new door in the field of psychology and his findings later influenced many other great psychologists such as Stanley Milgram (Slater 40) . Asch s experiments made many heads turn and scientists began to wonder more and more about the human brain. However, I think the biggest question with Asch s Conformity experiment would be: With so many small flaws, could his work really be considered credible in today s society? First off I ll explain a little of what the Asch conformity experiments really conducted of. In each experiment, an innocent minded subject was put in a room with many other participants that were actually actors in the experiment. It is shown in multiple studies that women are slightly more susceptible to conform because they feel a higher need to be accepted in society (Vaughan Hogg 2013). While this is true, the conformity distinction between male and female relies upon familiarities. For instance if you are asking women to name a type of wrench, they are more likely to go along with the group s answer because a wrench is more of a masculine object. It works the same way with men: If you were to ask men to name a specific type of needlework, they d be more likely to conform because they are unfamiliar with objects more feminine. However, if you were to ask both men and women about something neutral (i.e. a famous person) usually the percent of conformity would be rather equal, except maybe a little higher with ... • 18. Analysis Of Ace Ventura And School Of Rock In both, Ace Ventura and School of Rock, comedy is proposed from the outset; even the title and movie cover are comedic. Setting up pretend worlds creates distances for the audience allowing them to laugh at the comedies. In Ace Ventura, the main character, Ace Ventura, is a pet detective hired to find a missing dolphin who is kidnapped before the Superbowl. This concept suggest absurdity at both the ridiculousness of someone kidnapping a dolphin and a private pet detective being hired to find it. This concept also sets up a lot of jokes throughout the movie; Ace has a special bond with animals, an ability to communicate with animals, and in many ways acts like an animal, especially a dog. At no point is the concept of the movie taken seriously by the audience so the outrageousness of Ace s character and his actions are cartoonish. This is a very different tone from School of Rock, where the movie is set in a somewhat more realistic world that the audience is able to identify with. School of Rock creates comedy through a fish out of water scenario where the immature, rock and roll loving, Dewey impersonates his roommate, Ned, and becomes a substitute teacher for ten year olds. The scheming Dewey devises a plan to create a rock band out of his class and win a contest, setting up multiple comedic approaches. • 19. The Components Of The Gas Suspension Preheater The key component of the gas suspension preheater is the cyclone. A cyclone is a conical vessel into which a dust bearing gas stream is passed tangentially. This produces a vortex within the vessel. The gas leaves the vessel through a co axial vortex finder . The solids are thrown to the outside edge of the vessel by centrifugal action, and leave through a valve in the vertex of the cone. Cyclones were originally used to clean up the dust laden gases leaving simple dry process kilns. If, instead, the entire feed of rawmix is encouraged to pass through the cyclone, it is found that a very efficient heat exchange takes place: the gas is efficiently cooled, hence producing less waste of heat to the atmosphere, and the rawmix is efficiently heated. This efficiency is further increased if a number of cyclones are connected in series The number of cyclones stages used in practice varies from 1 to 6. Energy, in the form of fan power, is required to draw the gases through the string of cyclones, and at a string of 6 cyclones, the cost of the added fan power needed for an extra cyclone exceeds the efficiency advantage gained. ROTARY KILN :THE HEART OF CEMENT MANUFACTURING The kiln is a cylindrical vessel, inclined slightly to the horizontal, which is rotated slowly about its axis. Even after the Harlem Renaissance was off the forefront of the nation s mind, Langston Hughes continued to comment on the demoralization that white people have historically done unto the African American community. In his 1940 poem, Note on Commercial Theater , Hughes looked to the writers for Broadway and the presentations of commercial theater and saw the appropriation of black culture and perversion of music introduced by the Harlemites. These writers made the music whiter while stripping the credit from those who established it. Despite not having the recognition of white people at that time, Hughes still knew that someday somebody ll / Stand up and talk about me, / And write about me even if it would only be himself (Note on Commercial Theatre 12 14). Somehow, somewhere, someone would always be able to identify the wrongs white people inflict on others and be able to pay homage to the struggle while still celebrating their culture. His awareness of the ability of the black community to join together and acknowledge progression demonstrates his confidence in that community as a whole. It does not matter whether or not his own words are heard in his time, but instead that someone else will take them to heart and further the progression towards a better situation. The promise of a future ties the entire black community together towards more opportunities for growth. When we read these types of confrontations with Jesus we automatically envision these groups as evil people when in reality they weren t at all. In this report, we will study and analyze the main religious groups that were present during Jesus era and why they might have disagreed with Him. 2 The Pharisees were one group of people that had difficulties and problems with Jesus teachings. The Pharisees were ultra Orthodox men who shunned the unrighteous and made up many rules on how to be holy. There were two main groups of Pharisees the Shammai and the Hillel. The Shammai believed that only the Jews were loved by God and that Gentiles shouldn t convert to Judaism. Because of this belief, the Shammai grew to hate the Gentiles and even made edicts so that the two were separated. The Shammai is also known to have political ties and a close relation to the zealots who wanted to overthrow Rome. The second and less influential groups of Pharisees were the Hillel which focused more on people as opposed to rules. They were much more open to Gentile converts and Jesus acted more positively with this group than the other. The differences in academic gaps between children and teenagers from low income neighborhoods and affluent neighborhoods present themselves in the schools the students attend. A study by the Department of Education showed that students in low income areas did not have access to the same rigorous courses, and when they did, the resources available to the low income students was lacking compared to the resources the students in high income neighborhoods had access to. In the low income areas black and Hispanic students were twice as likely to have teachers with less experience, with one or two years in the profession, compared to schools in affluent neighborhoods with well to do white students.
