Similarities and differences between a manager, a business owner and an entrepreneur By Henry
Amm
Introduction
The public perception of entrepreneurs today is almost legendary. They seem to seamlessly start up
small businesses and make them grow and develop themselves almost overnight to big successes.
(Beaver, 2005) This essay will briefly cover the differences and similarities between managers,
business owners and entrepreneurs.

Therefore he often runs a lifestyle firm that is based on trade or craft which, however, will not grow to
any considerable size. The entrepreneur in turn is opportunistic, innovative, self confident and acts
proactive and decisive. He is highly self motivated by his vision and is therefore willing to take even
greater risks and can live with a high uncertainty. That is why the entrepreneur has a growth firm and
is pursuing growth and personal wealth. Lastly the manager is administrating, or in other words
managing, an entity that does not belong to him. His purpose is to build up the organisation, by means
that are similar to larger firms. (Burns, 2007) However there are some exceptions from that
generalization: An owner manager of course can have a growing business, while an entrepreneur could
manage a business he owns together with a business associate and therefore has not complete control
over the capital. (Burns, 2007) As Fraja (1996) suggests every firm can be assigned to either one of
the following types: Either it is an entrepreneurial firm, where the owner manager or entrepreneur is in
exclusive control, organizes production, borrows funds and retains any residual returns from his work.
Or it is a managerial firm, where the individual that has the right to residual returns remains outside
the company and the individual that has the

Rapid Industrialization Benefits
I think rapid industrialization improved the lives of many Americans, I definitely think the benefits of
progress are worth the cost. When technological innovation came along it created an economic and
social change. It created three classes such as the upper class, the middle class, and the lower class.
Until industrialization came along there were only two classes. Therefore I think it improved the lives
of all Americans. During the industrialization it created three classes. The upper class was made up
factory owners. Many of them spent their money on big homes, with many rooms. They also arranged
marriages for their families members. The working middle class were for the most part people from
farms that moved to the city to

Gender In Advertising
Taking a look at the details can make a big impact in what you think you are seeing. On the outside,
we see sexes that are the biological differences in individuals, but what about the concept of gender?
The expectations that society creates about men and women establish these levels of association
people gather together. As these roles come about, people begin to grow accustom and oblivious to the
reoccurring presence. In the current era, media continues to expand all over the areas of daily living.
One of the major forms of communication is advertising, which relays information to society about a
certain product, location, or trending topic. Whether it be on television, the radio, or the internet,
gender is intertwined into these forms of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only is gender forcefully depicted over the course of life, but also the level of intensity in the
advertisements is seen quite often. Sexual influence is used abundantly towards men, and businesses
find a way to incorporate this factor in almost anything. One of the more gentle ads is the M M pin
that has the green candy taking off her outer shell. The sex appeal from the candy gives off a vibe to
men that if they purchase this product, they will be satisfied. Not only is it seen through a cartoon
candy, but in real life women too. The intensity increases for products that more older men would see.
As seen on television, the well known Hardee s commercials utilize women as a way to pair burgers
with romance. These commercials vary in magnitude, but one of the more vulgar ones is the all natural
burger. The main girl appears to be naked throughout the commercial, and gives off seductive vibes
that put the male actors in a trance. Curiosity grows as in continues to stream, and at the end the
audience see that the girl is clothed, rather in a skimpy outfit, with of course, the burger. Another pin
that displays similar intensity is the Charlotte Brillat Savarin cheese ad, which has a girl mostly naked,
only covered by an apron. Even though the advertisement is for cheese, the woman adds a way to gain
the attention of men, who socially are viewed to desire sex appeal. All in all, the pins reveal that the
gender identity for real men is aimed at intimate relationships with

Dogue De Bordeaux (French Mastiff)
Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff); originally bred as fighting dog but also used in war, hunting and
guarding. There are several theories over the origin and the date the Dogue de Bordeaux came into
existence; some believe the breed to descend from the Greek Molossus (now extinct) or from the
Ancient Roman Mastiff. Others believe they originated in the 14th century in France when English
Kings ruled Aquitaine and are the result of English Mastiffs crossbreeding with large native breeds of
Aquitaine guarding dogs. It is also thought by some that the genes of the Spanish Mastiff were also
crossed in later on to produce a more ferocious look for guarding purposes. The Federation

Big Hollywood Mergers
In 1995, the Federal Communications Commission s financial interest and syndication rule expired,
which had major impact on the film industry. This meant that many of the big Hollywood companies
had to merge and create what s called the megamergers. Because so many of the companies merged,
the significance of the independent cinema movement increased since not many small, but great ideas
would be able to come to the light. Some artists with unique film vision and ideas would be unable see
their ideas in green light from megamergers. The release of Sex, Lies and Videotape in 1989 was a
breakthrough in the independent films movement because it featured unconventional storyline and
cast. Not only that, but it also won the best film prize at

Explain Why Everything Went Wrong
Everything went wrong It was a Sunday morning on October 8, 1871 this is one day that will go down
in history as THE GREAT FIRE. Alarms weren t triggered, they had horrible equipment, and the
conditions were terrible. For these reasons the fire was not put out and continued to raging on for a
total of 31 hours. And these are just some of the reasons of the reasons that the Chicago fire
department couldn t put it out and how everything went wrong. Alarms for example were some of the
major issues. When the great fire originally started in the O Leary s farm at around 8:45 William lee

activity is likely to be the primary driver of climate change, the politics of global warming have been
affected by climate change denial, hindering efforts to prevent climate change and adapt to the

Civil War Vs Ww2
War was and is a threatening idea in our society. Lives are lost. Families are heartbroken. And people
around the world still haven t grasped the concept that war causes more war. Yet, several wars in our
past led to something greater. Three wars that have had a major impact on the way we live are the
Civil War, World War 1 and World War 2.
The American Civil war took place in the early 1860s. During the presidential election of 1860,
Republicans opposed slavery and the expansion of slavery in to U.S territories. The Republican Party
was mainly situated in the north. But the cotton producing, southern states embraced slavery and
formed the Confederacy. The war began on April 12, 1861, after the confederate troops attacked Fort

There were two sides. The Allied Powers, which consisted of the U.S., France, Italy, Russia, the
United Kingdom, Serbia, Australia and several others and the Central Powers. Germany, Austria
Hungary, the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria were all part of the Central Powers. On the twenty eighth
of July, the Austro Hungarian Empire declared war on Serbia. Then, when Russia went to defend
Serbia, Germany took control of Belgium and Luxembourg, who were both neutral. Following the
invasion, Germany began to move towards France. This led Britain to declare war on Germany.
Meanwhile, Russia had successfully stopped the Austro Hungarians but they were soon subdued by
German forces. During the November of the same year, the Ottoman Empire joined the Central
Powers. The following year, Italy joined the Allied Powers and previously neutral Bulgaria joined the
Central Powers. Romania joined the Allies in 1916 and the U.S. joined the Allied Powers in 1917,
after Germany sank the RMS Lusitania. After three years of war, the Russian government collapsed
and gave Germany the upper hand. The victory came to an end in 1918, after the Western Allies
successfully invaded and drove back Germany. Eventually, the German and Austro Hungarian
Empires surrendered, bringing the war to an end. After the war, the League of nations was formed
with an aim to prevent international conflict. The newly formed league ended up causing World War

Angela s Ashes Modernism Essay
Modernism took place in the late 19th century and early 20th century, more specifically the years
following World War I ( Modernism in literature 1). The novel Angela s Ashes, written in 1996, is
considered a work of modernism. Writers often talked about historical events, due (feeling) that they
were at the end of history. ( Modernism 504).
Writers of this time period were heavily influenced by the war, and the political events going on.
Major writers were; T.S. Eliot, William Faulkner, James Joyce, Ezra Pound, and others. All of their
writings incorporated accurate portrayals of the world through experience and interior monologue (
Modernism 504) and did not write about the new technology developing around them ( Modernism

The Language As A Lingua Franca Of The Business World
English is now the dominant or official language in over 60 countries and is represented in every
continent (Crystal, 1997:106). It can therefore be understood that the English language is a vital means
of communication for millions of people around the world.
English has now become the Lingua Franca of the business world. In the business world, partners and
companies belonging to different nations and cultures conduct operations in either one of the
languages of the involved or in a neutral language, known as the Lingua Franca. Lingua Franca
signifies the common language or the common language for speakers of different first languages and
can also be referred to as the; bridge, working, vehicular or trade language.
The term linguistic imperialism and linguistic relativism are key in understanding a language as a
Lingua Franca. Linguistic imperialism stands for a dominant nation s practice of transferring it s
cultural, social, political and, even, economic features and ideologies by transferring its language to
other nations and according to Phillipson (1992), the dominance of English needs to be asserted and
maintained with continuous reconstruction of cultural inequalities between English and other
languages . Phillipson claims that English achieved its dominant position as the principal world
language because it has been actively promoted as an instrument of foreign policy of the major
English speaking states (Phillipson 1992:1). Linguistic relativism, on

Alice, Food, And Inner Desires
Alice, Food, and Inner Desires Lewis Carroll s whimsical journey into Wonderland has created a
fantasy worlds full of mystery and depth. In this essay I will discuss the links between the
consumption of food and the underlying desires behind consuming. In this essay I will argue that food
is used as a transformative device to enable Alice to voluntarily explore and involuntarily supress her
inner desires. Within the Lewis Carroll texts, Alice s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the
Looking Glass and What Alice found there, Alice experiences two very different encounters with food.
Alice s Adventures in Wonderland delves into the idea of eating or drinking for pleasure. In contrast,

There are close links between Alice s change in size and the gain of power. According to Nicholson,
consuming food is the material means of growth, where growth may be defined as gaining power (39).
This translates to the idea that Alice has power over her surroundings, she desires to be omnipotent
and break free of her inhibitions. Nicholson also explains that What is killed does not die voluntarily.
Therefore the creatures man eats must be weaker than he is (39). Alice supports this idea when she
consumes the cake labelled EAT ME (Carroll 12). Not only does Alice consume the cake, but she does
so to gain the power to transform so that she may carry on with her pursuit of the garden. Alice s
consumption of food in Wonderland not only represents her need for power but also her need to fulfill
internal desires. According to Garland, Alice s attitude toward food...contrib[utes] to an understanding
of the representations of sexuality and subjectivity in Wonderland (25). This is reflected in Alice s
quick desire s to eat and drink in the first scene, despite the fact that she does not have any physical
hunger. Garland also notes that, the relationship Carroll presents between sexual females, desire, fear,
and death is contrasted strongly with female children, innocence, joy, and life (27). This suggests that
although Alice appears to be an innocent you

Kimberly Clark has been around since 1872. It wasn t until Darwin Smith took over in 1971 as CEO,

the consumer paper products. This company has picked up right up where Darwin Smith left. He
instilled the concepts and values of a great company and set up the company to succeed upon his

The Revolution For Independence From England
Many colonist were against the revolution for independence from England for many different reasons.
Some reasons were that the colonies were too commercially dependent on England, that they had
superior numbers and they also had a stronger navy against the colonies, and that the existing political
system would breakdown and all of this would leave America prey to attacks from other foreign
countries. Tomas Paine thought differently on the results of the revolution. His answers to the counter
these arguments made by the colonist that were against the revolution was that, being commercially
dependent on England, America will go to ruins, America does not need more people to fight but that
the colonies need to band together and for England s navy, not all of her ships are in use or ready to be
in use and America can also build her own navy comparable in size. Lastly, Paine suggest that the
colonies should adopt a representative democracy, which will give equal representation to all colonies.
Firstly, Paine argued that if America was to stay connected to England, she will not thrive, her trade
will be ruined because America will become involved with wars and fighting between England and
other parts of Europe. ... Because, any submission to, or dependence on Great Britain, tends directly
involve this continent in European wars and quarrels... (Paine, 86). This will tend to leave other
foreign countries not wanting to trade with America. Paine say that America s commerce will be

as a dictator until 1823. Even though there was some conflict with the liberal conservative party, Chile
was able to obtain a national government sooner than other Spanish colonies. During this time, Chile
was mainly under the governance of conservatives. Diego Portales became ruler and influential
minister of Chile and founded the Constitution of 1833. He obtained order within the military,
government and economy, but his strict ruling created animosity within the opposition. Portales was

Relationship Between Gas Station Exercise On The People...
With this course, I have learned that it is possible to dramatically improve my ability to negotiate. I
can improve my monetary returns and feel better about myself and the people with whom I deal. I also
learned that there are several ways to test my own intuition and approach. The course provided me
with an opportunity to assess my instinctive bargaining style and provides suggestions for how to
further develop my bargaining abilities. The negotiation exercises was a good way to cement several
of the concepts from the book and lecture and gave me several opportunities to get to know my
classmate more and test some new insights with them.
Gas station exercise: my team shouldn t have been too worried about the other station s profits. We
should only have been concerned about maximizing our own profits. Even though our profits depend
on both our choices in pricing and the choices of the other station. However, our main concern should
be our own profit picture. If the other team do well or do poorly, that shouldn t be a big concern of
ours. You should simply do as well as you can to boost your own profits as much as you can. At the
start of the game, we had a plan and actually documented the minimum amount we expected to make
and wrote this down. We also agreed on who would go to meet with the other team to let them know
our position. The preparation gave us the peace of mind that comes with having a game plan. I believe
planning gave us confidence during the exercise.

Theme Of Mood In The Outsiders
Tall elm trees made the park shadowy and dark, and it would have been a good hangout, but we
preferred our vacant lot (Hinton, 47) What will happen next? In The Outsiders, S.E. Hinton uses
profound description of the setting to establish mood in the text. In a novel such as The Outsiders, it is
of major importance that the author establishes setting and mood for the novel s plot to develop. This
is where ambience marries mood in a story.
In any novel, the author uses the element of setting in order to establish a connection between the
reader and the text. Hinton uses: When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the
movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home. (Hinton, 3) as her

Nobody was around at two thirty in the morning, and it was a good place to relax and cool off. I
couldn t have gotten much cooler without turning into a popsicle. (Hinton, 47) Ponyboy and Johnny
rendezvous at the local park at two thirty in the morning. Just by looking at the time frame in which
they decide to meet up, the reader automatically begins to draw conclusions about what could happen.
Time is a major key to set mood intensity in a text. For example, events set at midnight create depth
and tension. On the contrary, events set at ten a.m. on a Sunday morning create a sense contentment
and peace of mind. Could this be the reason why Hinton s chapter four takes place at night in a
lonesome park? What can readers predict? Will there be any sudden deaths or will the boys in this
scene spend the night smoking in the park? Hinton uses the element of surprise along with
foreshadowing to attract readers even more. In The Outsiders, S.E. Hinton emphasizes on the weather
description to lead the readers to foreshadow approaching events. Ain t you about to freeze to death,
Pony? (Hinton, 47) It was a frigid fall night, the boys were desolate in the local park. Once an author
establishes coldness and loneliness, the mood drops to death. According to literary symbolism, in
winter, death roams the land, the literary use for the season is generally based on death and
deterioration.

The Effects Of Global Warming On Earth s Climate
Throughout history the Earth has warmed and cooled time and time again. Climate changes due to
subtle shifts in orbit, the atmosphere or surface, changing, or the Sun energy varying. Now the force
that has the greatest influence on Earth s climate is humanity. Human activity since the Industrial
Revolution has affected the climate because the burning of fossil fuels has an impact on the
greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is a naturally occurring phenomenon, but due to human
activity there are increased levels of greenhouse gases. The increased levels, trap the sun s energy and
it warms the planet s surface above the normal temperature. It s the equilibrium of the incoming and
outgoing of the sun s energy that make Earth habitable, but now there is an offset because more is
being trapped. The offset is global warming. Global warming is the unusually rapid increase in Earth s
average surface temperature over the past century, primarily due to the greenhouse gases released by
people burning fossil fuels. The arctic places are primarily impacted by global warming and place that
arose with the most concern is Alaska. Alaska is home to wildlife and human inhabitants. The main
concern is that Alaska is melting and will continue to melt in the future. If Alaska continues to be
affected by global warming, then there will be a large impact on the state as a whole.

After all, there was no access to a convenience or discount store stocking tampons, pads, and

wasn t a convenient exit to purchase feminine hygiene products then either. For that matter, I don t
know if you ve given much thought to what was used in lieu of toilet paper on the Oregon Trail or in
the Amazon or even back in Bible times. Women, we know, got to sit on clean straw in a red tent
during their menstrual periods. But no word has reached us on exactly how, or even if, they cleansed
their private parts after a daily constitutional. No, I haven t spent a lot of time thinking about the toilet
and hygienic habits of our ancestors either. But if I stopped to give it some thought, I would have
thought that soft toilet paper and convenient tampons ranked right up there with important advances of
the twentieth century. I mean, way up there with air travel and microwave ovens. So it really boggled
my mind when I found that there were people who preferred to use time honored and ancient forms of
personal hygiene products. Mama cloths are sold at many alternative boutiques to take the place of
pads, napkins, tampons, or pantyliners for a woman s menstrual cycle. Just as the name suggests, these
mama cloths are strips of cotton to be inserted in a woman s panties during her menstrual cycle. And
just in case, you ve thought ahead with me on this: yes, they are intended to be laundered and reused

Escalator
Design Statement:
Create an escalator system that uses significantly less energy than escalators currently in use.
Introduction:
Escalator Technology has not changed much over the past few decades. In fact, escalators have been
around for over one hundred years. In malls, train stations, and airports they are left on all day, and
waste energy. Energy efficient escalators already exist, however, in terms of cost and availability,
cheaper non energy efficient escalators are bought and used. Even when using new designs for
escalators, they can be made energy efficient and have a reduced cost. By using sensors, speed can be
reduced or even stopped when there are no passengers. Alternate forms of energy can be used, as well.
With new designs, however, the components sometimes are affected. When designing an escalator, the
choice of proper components must be made to ensure the completion of the design statement.
Therefore, to be able to design efficiently, one should understand the parts first. This paper addresses
the components of the escalator, and how they work to make it function.
Types of Components
In an escalator, the flat step, is an important component which allows passengers to stabilize
themselves. A flat step, is a step that is level with the preceding step. ... Show more content on

One design, for example, is the mat operated reversible design, in which the escalator only activates

balance owing no later than 10 days after receiving the statement; if McClain overpays her share, she
is to receive credit against her share of the common expenses for the forthcoming year. 14. Prior to
entering into the lease McClain attempted to confirm the size of the unit. This offended the Charanians
and they told McClain that measuring the area would be very costly due to the odd angles of the
space. The Charanians insisted that McClain could rely on their measurements of the area. 15. In early
2005, McClain obtained a copy of Octagon s earthquake insurance, which disclosed the correct size of
the shopping center as 12,800 square feet, rather than 11,835 square feet the Charanians used in
calculating McClain s share of the common expenses. 16. McClain also discovered her unit was only
2,438 feet rather than the 2,624 square feet represented. She was being charged $269 per month extra

The Life and Times of Sir Isaac Newton Essay
Sir Isaac Newton was born on January 4, 1643 (based on the Gregorian calendar) in Woolsthorpe,
Lincolnshire, England. Growing up, he was never really close to his parents because his biological
father died three months before he was born. Then, his mother remarried and left him to be raised by
his grandparents. It was not until 1661, when Newton started studying at Cambridge University, that
Newton took an interest in math and science. Then, in 1665, Newton was forced to go home because
of an epidemic outbreak. During his time away from school, Newton started studying optics, math,
and gravity. In addition, he started to create Calculus. Newton was allowed to return to Cambridge in
1667, and in 1669, he became a math professor. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A few scientists who lived just before Newton s life were Nicolaus Copernicus, Galileo Galilei, Robert
Hooke. Copernicus discovered the heliocentric theory. This idea was revolutionary because before his
theory, people believed that the sun revolved around the earth (geocentric theory). However,
Copernicus presented the theory that the earth revolved around the sun (heliocentric theory). Another
scientist, Galileo Galilei, created the first telescope. Thus, with his new invention, he was able to see
the Milky Way, features of the Moon, and Jupiter s moons. While observing Jupiter s moons, he saw
that the moons orbited around Jupiter, not earth. With this new information, he was able to disprove
the geocentric theory because Jupiter s moons did not orbit around Earth, but rather Jupiter. Galileo
also found that everything fell at the same speed. He tested this theory by dropping two balls (one
heavier and one lighter) off of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They both hit the ground at the same time (
Astronomy and Space for Kids ). In addition, Galileo proposed the idea of inertia ( The Scientific
Revolution ). Robert Hooke was another notable scientist of that time. Hooke created the law of
elasticity. This law states that, the stretching of a solid body (e.g., metal, wood) is proportional to the
force applied to it (The Editors of Encyclopædia Britannica). Hooke also invented the Gregorian
reflecting telescope. Through this invention

Essay about Political Socialization
Political Socialization
Political socialization begins early on in life and is an ongoing process affecting individuals
throughout. It is how people eventually identify personal beliefs and expectations in American
politics. These political views can include our level of patriotism, faith in the democratic system,
standards by which we hold governing bodies, and opinions regarding public policies. From the
playground to the classroom, the office to the dinner table, much of our lives affect our political
opinions. The most easily identified agents of this are family, schooling, peers, mass media, political
parties and religious influences. Furthermore, these means indoctrinate us in the political society
through four basic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As one matures, a certain peer groups reinforce beliefs. Elisabeth Noelle Neumann, in her book Spiral
of Silence, explains individuals inherently fear social isolation from peers and are apprehensive of
speaking out against group ideas (Patterson 161).
Religion appeals to one s sense of affective socialization by encouraging puritan values and morals
supported by the church. The highly inviolable issue of abortion parleys condemnation by the Catholic
Church against the advocating for women s rights by pro choice groups. Catholics, while the strongest
advocates, do not stand alone on this issue, as many religions preach abortion is the murder of a child.
By relating a medical procedure to murder, people are emotionally affected, and instead of thinking
rationally, resort to emotions to defend their stance.
Schools are another important faction in delivering affective socialization, but also deliver
instrumental socialization to America s youth. Elementary classroom instruction is generally where
children receive their first concrete lessons on the American political system. Teachers perform the
important civic duty of instructing young Americans in political history, general laws and rights, and
patriotism. Take for example the Pledge of Allegiance, recited across the nation in elementary
classrooms.
Day in and day out, children are ingrained with a

John Piper Essay
The author, John Piper, is a retired pastor, author, and theologian. Piper wants his readers to know that
the goal of preaching is the glory of God (21). Piper also states that the ground of preaching is the
cross of Christ, and the gift of preaching comes from the power of the Holy Spirit (23). Piper
accomplishes his goal within both parts of the book. Part one is dedicated to why God should be
supreme in preaching, and part two is how to make God supreme in preaching. This a great book for
students, pastors, and those within the church. Piper reminds his audience that God is the focus of
preaching and nothing else. This review will summarize, review, and critique the work while
providing a conclusion. Summary The purpose and thesis is clearly defined as Piper writes, For God
aims to exalt himself, not the preacher, in this affair of preaching. And that brings us to the theme: the
supremacy of God in preaching (23). God is the goal and ground of preaching, and the means by
which men preach is the Holy Spirit (23). Piper goes on to state that he has a burden to plead for the
glory of God in preaching with the grand object of preaching to be the infinite and inexhaustible being
of God (24). Piper accomplishes his goal by dividing the book into two parts. Piper focuses on why

without the cross (36). Preaching the cross of Christ will also keep a preacher humble because it has
the power to convict of sin so that one may turn away from sin. In other words, proclaiming the cross

Brutality and Deceit in A Streetcar Named Desire Essay
A Streetcar Named Desire is a socially challenging play in light of the way in which Tennessee
Williams depicts the capacity of human nature for brutality and deceit. He takes the viewpoint that, no
matter how structured or civilized society is, all people will rely on their natural animal instincts, such
as dominance and deception, to get themselves out of trouble at some stage in life. William s has
created three main characters, Blanche Dubois, Stella Kowalski and Stanley Kowalski. Each of these
characters is equally as civilized as the next, yet all are guilty of acts of savagery on different levels.
Throughout the play Williams symbolically relates these three characters to animals, savages, through
the disclosure of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally, Stanley rapes Blanche because he has tried and tried to keep her down to his level (Kagan 26)
but she cannot go there. The rape is his way of getting her there. In the powerful scene where Stanley
loses total control of his actions and strikes the person whom he has sworn to protect, love and
cherish, William s shows Stanley s lack of control and hatred of the new threat in his life, Blanche.
What makes this scene so important to the topic is the way that the three characters react once the
party has broken up. Blanche is in her usual state of panic; Stella has retreated upstairs, while Stanley
stumbles around calling out Steeelllaaa in a drunken sweaty animal like manner. Surprisingly Stella
answers her mate s calls and embraces him, the two of them exchanging words of compassion and
kisses. Stanley then picks up Stella and carries her off to his den to make love, which is Stanley s way
of apologizing. Stanley has to be the dominant male figure in all his relationships, not only with Stella
and Blanche, but with his friends as well. He is a leader and instantly rises to the challenge whenever
his status is threatened.
Williams uses a different type of savagery in Blanche s character. Blanche is more deceptive and
exaggerated than Stanley, trying to hide the effects of her hard life from others through constant
bathing, avoiding bright lights and by lying, and from herself, by drinking.

Short Essay On Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal
The globalisation processes conduce to the blurring of boundaries between nations. The modern life
let us feel ourselves the global citizens, according to the concept of global citizenship. Every year,
tourists totalling two times the population of Agra pass through its gates to catch a glimpse of one of
the most magnificent and spectacular buildings in the world. Few leave disappointed after seeing this
beautiful site.
One of the most famous and beautiful architectural monument that attracts the masses from all over
the world is Taj Mahal. Built in the 17th century, a great example of the Mughal architecture. Its
marble dome, tilted minarets and majestic tombs has become a source of wonder and delight for
millions of people.
The Taj Mahal was ordered to be constructed by the Indian ruler Shah Jahan, from materials including
lapis lazuli, jade, amethyst, etc. The Taj Mahal complex includes a main gateway, a garden, a red
sandstone mosque, and a building called the jawab. Shah Jahan had desired to build a second
mausoleum across the river, to have his own remains buried there and the two mausoleums to be
connected with bridges. Unfortunately, these plans never took shape.

Criticisms On Porter s Theory
4) Criticisms on Porter s Theory There have been many different reactions towards Porter s theory on
how nations ought to compete. Some responses were validated while others rebutted his theory.
Firstly, the positive response will be discussed before focusing on the criticisms of Porter s theory. Oz
(2002) implemented Porter s Diamond model to analyse the competitive advantage of five Turkish
industries and the outcome was favourable and thus validated Porter s theory. For example, the
uncompetitive Turkish automobile industry resulted in uncompetitive companies, while the presence
of demanding buyers and hence intense local rivalry in Turkish construction and leather clothing
industries pushed the companies to innovate and become globally competitive. The Turkish findings
by Oz thus validated Porter s theory that indeed, competitive industries of a nation are inclined to
cluster together. On the other hand, the criticisms of Porter s theory vary widely from doubts on his
theory s originality (Dunning, 1993; Grant, 1991; Rugman and D Cruz, 1993) to the over reliance on
global export shares as the measure of global competitiveness (Cartwright, 1993; Grant, 1991;
Rugman and D Cruz, 1993). Porter s methodology was also denounced by several academics, which

When people think of French gastronomy wine is an essential component of her culture. While it
remains a one of many licit joys the French indulge in, this gluttony is an important image and
offering to tourist. Although parts of France greatly rely on the production and manufacturing of wine
more than the actual consumption, they still rather enjoy their wine. Oenology in itself is a very
interesting study and takes the appreciation of the drink to a whole new level. French wine is much
like the French themselves its well dressed, elegant, never overpowering, and well behaved. Even on
the topic of Oenology the variety and quality that France provides is incredible. Two well known
regions, Rhône and Bordeaux, produce the some famous wine names such as Côtes du Rhône and
Château d Yquem. The Côtes du Rhône is more earthy and tends to be described as rustic while
Château d Yquem is a sweeter or dry wine, and also holds the record for most expensive wine bought
at 117,000$. Avoiding great detail it s easy to say that the difference starts in the soil that makes the
grapes. In a way the wine can be seen as a model for modern production and food by promoting
quality and variety, in other words, an optimistic point of view for French food. France is always
advancing in food and wine production therefore it is a fair assumption that they will continue to grow
together.

Entanglement and Quantum Mechanics
Entanglement is one of the most fundamental and yet unintuitive concepts in quantum mechanics.
Maximally entangled two qubit states, often called Bell states, where shown to violate classical (local)
correlation properties [33, 34] and are an essential building block for quantum communication and
distributed quantum computation. Unfortunately, such entangled states are also difficult to generate
and sustain as interaction with a noisy environment typically leads to rapid loss of their unique
quantum properties. In the context of QSC, such an entanglement has been generated exploring
various types of interactions such as direct qubit qubit interaction [35, 36], coupling to a common
cavity mode [37] or photon mediated interactions for qubits embedded in a waveguide [38].
In this context, remote entanglement of spatially separated quantum systems have important im
plications in addressing the scaling problem for quantum information processing. Indeed, as a solution
to this scaling issue, we propose here to follow a modular approach where the quantum information is
encoded, protected and locally manipulated in small units consisting of a few cavity modes or/and few
qubits and the communication between modules is ensured through quantum teleportation techniques.
Sharing of a pair of entangled subsystems between two modules is central for these teleportation pro
tocols. While the isolation of the modules simplifies the scaling by avoiding any undesired cross talk
between the

Extinction Of The Dinosaurs
The mass extinction of the Cretaceous period
The debate over what happened to the dinosaurs have been one of the most controversial research
topics in history. One minute, the earth was blooming with countless trees and a healthy environment,
then, in the period of seconds, all life on earth was wiped out, creating a mass extinction across the
globe (Bond, 2017). Discovering what ended the cretaceous period has been a major priority in the
scientific world, however, with enough modern day research, scientists have nailed the extinction of
the Dinosaurs down to two major theories; the asteroid impact theory, and the volcanic eruption
theory, both being extremely alike.
As research has been undertaken, scientists have evaluated all possible theories, distinguishing that
there are two major possibilities; the volcano theory and the asteroid impact theory. Both theories are
highly comparable, yet both have distinguishing qualities that indicate their differences. The Volcano
theory, affecting the wide spread area of India has been proven as a major factor to the discovery of
why the dinosaurs became extinct. Research indicates that 65 million years ago, monstrous lava beds
called Deccan traps covered the surface of the earth, over an area of 500 000 square kilometres
(Weishampel, 2017).

Pros And Cons Of Social Media Essay
Just like everything else in life, social media has pros and cons. However, the pros outweigh the cons.
Social networking assists businesses in various different ways. Also, while helping people
communicate more with others and to become more connected with them too. A fast and effortless
way to spread and receive crucial information is through social media. In the beginning, it was just
kids spending their time on websites like Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter. Now over seventy eight
percent of the US has an account on a social networking website (Kerpen). The outcomes of social
media all depend on the ways the users are utilizing the advantages and disadvantages of it.
Some new and up in coming businesses owe their success to the power of social media. Social media
helps businesses promote their product for free. Not only is it free, but also its quick and painless.
Social media allows small businesses to get there products known. In today s society, it is very
common to online shop instead of actually going to the store s in person. People are always looking
for new stores especially cheaper stores. This allows all businesses to have their own personal
branding. Although, it is free to promote businesses online there are some sites that allow brands to
pay for an advertisement. The advertisement ensures that more people will see the post, but if you still
want to promote for free you just have to be clever about what is being posted. Posting things that are
related and relevant to today s society help get more attention. Approximately ninety percent of large
companies using social networking websites to promote have proclaimed at least one measurable
business benefit ( Are Social Networking Sites Good for Our Society? ). The shopping side of social

Sustainable Improvements Of The Uk
Sustainable Improvements
The UK has thousands of beautiful period properties that were constructed from brick and timber with
minimal insulation, and as a result produce high carbon emissions. As a government department will
occupy the property it should serve as an example to the public of how such wonderful period
properties can be made sustainable without impacting their historical and visual appearances. In order
to make this property more energy efficient, sustainable and in accordance with government
legislation, a number of improvements can be made.
Since the property is located in the Fleet Street Conservation Area in the City of London, the
following improvements may require planning permission:
a) Hybrid solar panels by Naked Energy where both photovoltaic and thermal energy outputs are
combined. The benefit is reduced installation time and cost while maximizing the usable installation
area . This would also include replacing the whole heating and water system. To ensure planning
permission is approved the solar panels should not be easily visible from the street.
b) Windows should be replaced with double glazed windows which resemble the existing windows
A number of additional energy saving improvements can be made that do not require planning
permission:
a) External wall insulation is not possible due to the property being in a conservation area, however
insulation can be achieved internally on walls and floors, i.e. by using aerogel and by adding

Satire In Satire
Satire: The Art of Exposing Foolishness Position is the incentive for society to innovate and perform.
Those in high positions may think themselves above society and they are fools for that thinking. As
William Shakespeare wrote in his play As You Like It a, fool doth think he is wise, but as wise man
knows he is a fool (). One of the greatest pitfalls of society is the ignorance of its own foolishness, it is
up to the wise to recognize this and expose it for the benefit of the public. The wise use a literary
technique known as satire, to perform this service for society. Within satire there are the why s the

I thought vulture at times, due to the description of buzzard like wings and that the he nestled in a nest
(Marquez, 1955). To further my thought of him being a bird, is that when they tried to feed him what
was thought the food of angels, mothballs, the man refused (Marquez, 1955). Nevertheless, if I had
not paid attention to the wording used I might have gone with the old man was a bird. However, the
story uses a lot of language to define divine beings. Like when Father Gonzaga had a providential end
to his tribulations (Marquez, 1955 p. 4). This meant that the Gonzaga had a define foresight or
intervention, similar to use of celestial meaning form the heavens or sky (TheFreeDictionary.com).

Meditations by Marc Aurelius Literature review
Choose not to be harmed and you won t feel harmed. Don t feel harmed and you haven t been
Meditations is a series of personal writings which embodies Marcus Aurelius s view on the Stoic
philosophy. The collection of writings consists of 12 books written over the course of his life in which
by reminding himself he reminds us to be human, to practice empathy, humility, kindness, and to
realize that time is short in this world.
Going through the text, we discover an emperor who was a simple man and who did not linger on his
royal status. Rather, he was a man of simplified tastes which shows him as being wise and humble.
The theme of the book is mainly focused on the nature of man and the universe. He argues that
everything came into existence from nature and when the things complete their destined time they
return back to nature. Marcus also focuses on the importance of having composure in one s life. He
believes that man should be strong and steadfast, and should strive to become better and serene.
Marcus Aurelius is also a strong advocate of freeing oneself from the allure of the material world. He
believes that the worldly distractions do nothing but lead us astray from our true potential and that
man should be strong enough to overcome his urges. A person must be strong minded ... Show more

He thanks his grandfather for teaching him to have good morals and be even tempered; his father for
teaching him to be modest, humble and have a manly character ; his mother for teaching him to be
generous and non materialistic; and his teachers who taught him the value of hard work, self
discipline, rationality, humor, and tolerance. From his mentors he also learned to love practical
philosophy, instead of metaphysics and the vanity of the Sophists. He also thanks his wife for being

The Theme Of Forbidden Love And Conflicts In Shakespeare s...
Around 30 B.C, Cleopatra, the Egyptian queen, and Roman general and politician, Mark Anthony
were having an affair together. Frowned upon, the two ancient lovers kept their love hidden and
private. After Cleopatra and possibly her lover, Mark Anthony, had a war thrown on them, they
committed a double suicide protecting their love. Their suicides lead Rome and Egypt to become
allies and no longer enemies. The power of their forbidden love was an inspiration for Shakespeare s
theme. In his play, Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare s theme is forbidden love can lead to consequences.
Shakespeare uses plot and conflict to support this theme throughout the play. Conflicts in Romeo and
Juliet, and the plot support Shakespeare s theme of a forbidden love can lead to consequences. For
example, Romeo and Juliet fall in love at a Capulet party before finding out each others families (act
one, scene five). Once finding out they are children of rivalries, their love becomes forbidden or not
allowed. Knowing about each other s families somehow made the love get stronger. Also, after
challenging Romeo, Tybalt approaches Romeo ( act three, scene one). Tybalt approaches Romeo in a
rude manner, but Romeo continues to stay clam and avoid any conflict because he is secretly married
to Juliet. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The love between Romeo and Juliet was so powerful and passionate, that they killed themselves
because they didn t want to live in a world without each other, or in a world, married to someone else.
Shakespeare finishes off the theme with; The Capulet and Montagues rivalry ended (act five, scene
three). The tragic death of the two lovers led to the families to realize their children sacrificed
themselves because their rivalry made their love forbidden. The two families stop their wrong doings
and grieved together for the

International Non Governmental Organisations Play An...
Introduction
Currently, a lot of global issues are becoming confused and more serious because of globalization.
Since Cold War, the number of conventional war between countries has reduced and it seems that
finally we obtain peaceful world on the surface. However, it is certain that a new type of opposition
has emerged which we call international conflict , and this is more complicated than conventional war
to address resolution. Because of diversity and ambiguity of international conflict, the role of each
actor, for example, the UN, government, and especially NGOs has been broader and more vital to
keep sustainable peace. In this situation, can international non governmental organisations play an
effective role in resolving international conflicts? It seem that the work of NGOs are unfamiliar than
other organisations. In this essay, an argument focuses on what international conflict is, what the
specific role of NGO is in this field, and comparing role of NGO to other actors role mentioning
examples. Besides, at last, some suggestions concerned with this issue will be suggested.
What is the international conflict?
A Conflict is an uncertain concept which is defined such as fight, games and debates (Rapoport,
1960), and this argument is still debatable. There are mainly two kind of traditional conflict which are
consensual conflict and dissensual conflict. This concept is also uncertain academically because each
person has used these concept in different ways or

That is why the entrepreneur has a growth firm and is pursuing growth and personal wealth. Lastly the manager is administrating, or in other words managing, an entity that does not belong to him. His purpose is to build up the organisation, by means that are similar to larger firms. (Burns, 2007) However there are some exceptions from that generalization: An owner manager of course can have a growing business, while an entrepreneur could manage a business he owns together with a business associate and therefore has not complete control over the capital. (Burns, 2007) As Fraja (1996) suggests every firm can be assigned to either one of the following types: Either it is an entrepreneurial firm, where the owner manager or entrepreneur is in exclusive control, organizes production, borrows funds and retains any residual returns from his work. Or it is a managerial firm, where the individual that has the right to residual returns remains outside the company and the individual that has the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

On the outside, we see sexes that are the biological differences in individuals, but what about the concept of gender? The expectations that society creates about men and women establish these levels of association people gather together. As these roles come about, people begin to grow accustom and oblivious to the reoccurring presence. In the current era, media continues to expand all over the areas of daily living. Not only is gender forcefully depicted over the course of life, but also the level of intensity in the advertisements is seen quite often. Sexual influence is used abundantly towards men, and businesses find a way to incorporate this factor in almost anything. One of the more gentle ads is the M M pin that has the green candy taking off her outer shell. The sex appeal from the candy gives off a vibe to men that if they purchase this product, they will be satisfied. Not only is it seen through a cartoon candy, but in real life women too. The intensity increases for products that more older men would see. As seen on television, the well known Hardee s commercials utilize women as a way to pair burgers with romance. These commercials vary in magnitude, but one of the more vulgar ones is the all natural burger. The main girl appears to be naked throughout the commercial, and gives off seductive vibes that put the male actors in a trance. Curiosity grows as in continues to stream, and at the end the audience see that the girl is clothed, rather in a skimpy outfit, with of course, the burger. Another pin that displays similar intensity is the Charlotte Brillat Savarin cheese ad, which has a girl mostly naked, only covered by an apron. Even though the advertisement is for cheese, the woman adds a way to gain the attention of men, who socially are viewed to desire sex appeal. In this essay I will discuss the links between the consumption of food and the underlying desires behind consuming. Within the Lewis Carroll texts, Alice s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice found there, Alice experiences two very different encounters with food. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are close links between Alice s change in size and the gain of power. According to Nicholson, consuming food is the material means of growth, where growth may be defined as gaining power (39). This translates to the idea that Alice has power over her surroundings, she desires to be omnipotent and break free of her inhibitions. Nicholson also explains that What is killed does not die voluntarily. Therefore the creatures man eats must be weaker than he is (39). Alice supports this idea when she consumes the cake labelled EAT ME (Carroll 12). Not only does Alice consume the cake, but she does so to gain the power to transform so that she may carry on with her pursuit of the garden. Alice s consumption of food in Wonderland not only represents her need for power but also her need to fulfill internal desires. Some reasons were that the colonies were too commercially dependent on England, that they had superior numbers and they also had a stronger navy against the colonies, and that the existing political system would breakdown and all of this would leave America prey to attacks from other foreign countries. Tomas Paine thought differently on the results of the revolution. His answers to the counter these arguments made by the colonist that were against the revolution was that, being commercially dependent on England, America will go to ruins, America does not need more people to fight but that the colonies need to band together and for England s navy, not all of her ships are in use or ready to be in use and America can also build her own navy comparable in size. Lastly, Paine suggest that the colonies should adopt a representative democracy, which will give equal representation to all colonies. Firstly, Paine argued that if America was to stay connected to England, she will not thrive, her trade will be ruined because America will become involved with wars and fighting between England and other parts of Europe. ... Climate changes due to subtle shifts in orbit, the atmosphere or surface, changing, or the Sun energy varying. Now the force that has the greatest influence on Earth s climate is humanity. Human activity since the Industrial Revolution has affected the climate because the burning of fossil fuels has an impact on the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is a naturally occurring phenomenon, but due to human activity there are increased levels of greenhouse gases. The increased levels, trap the sun s energy and it warms the planet s surface above the normal temperature. It s the equilibrium of the incoming and outgoing of the sun s energy that make Earth habitable, but now there is an offset because more is being trapped. The offset is global warming. This idea was revolutionary because before his theory, people believed that the sun revolved around the earth (geocentric theory). However, Copernicus presented the theory that the earth revolved around the sun (heliocentric theory). Another scientist, Galileo Galilei, created the first telescope. Thus, with his new invention, he was able to see the Milky Way, features of the Moon, and Jupiter s moons. While observing Jupiter s moons, he saw that the moons orbited around Jupiter, not earth. With this new information, he was able to disprove the geocentric theory because Jupiter s moons did not orbit around Earth, but rather Jupiter. Galileo also found that everything fell at the same speed. He tested this theory by dropping two balls (one heavier and one lighter) off of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They both hit the ground at the same time ( Astronomy and Space for Kids ). In addition, Galileo proposed the idea of inertia ( The Scientific Revolution ). Robert Hooke was another notable scientist of that time. Hooke created the law of elasticity. This law states that, the stretching of a solid body (e.g., metal, wood) is proportional to the force applied to it (The Editors of Encyclopædia Britannica). Hooke also invented the Gregorian reflecting telescope. Through this invention ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. Essay about Political Socialization Political Socialization Political socialization begins early on in life and is an ongoing process affecting individuals throughout. It is how people eventually identify personal beliefs and expectations in American politics. These political views can include our level of patriotism, faith in the democratic system, standards by which we hold governing bodies, and opinions regarding public policies. From the playground to the classroom, the office to the dinner table, much of our lives affect our political opinions. The most easily identified agents of this are family, schooling, peers, mass media, political parties and religious influences. Elisabeth Noelle Neumann, in her book Spiral of Silence, explains individuals inherently fear social isolation from peers and are apprehensive of speaking out against group ideas (Patterson 161). Religion appeals to one s sense of affective socialization by encouraging puritan values and morals supported by the church. The highly inviolable issue of abortion parleys condemnation by the Catholic Church against the advocating for women s rights by pro choice groups. Catholics, while the strongest advocates, do not stand alone on this issue, as many religions preach abortion is the murder of a child. By relating a medical procedure to murder, people are emotionally affected, and instead of thinking rationally, resort to emotions to defend their stance. Schools are another important faction in delivering affective socialization, but also deliver instrumental socialization to America s youth. Elementary classroom instruction is generally where children receive their first concrete lessons on the American political system. Teachers perform the important civic duty of instructing young Americans in political history, general laws and rights, and patriotism. Take for example the Pledge of Allegiance, recited across the nation in elementary classrooms. Day in and day out, children are ingrained with a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Piper also states that the ground of preaching is the cross of Christ, and the gift of preaching comes from the power of the Holy Spirit (23). Piper accomplishes his goal within both parts of the book. Part one is dedicated to why God should be supreme in preaching, and part two is how to make God supreme in preaching. This a great book for students, pastors, and those within the church. Piper reminds his audience that God is the focus of preaching and nothing else. This review will summarize, review, and critique the work while providing a conclusion. Summary The purpose and thesis is clearly defined as Piper writes, For God aims to exalt himself, not the preacher, in this affair of preaching. And that brings us to the theme: the supremacy of God in preaching (23). God is the goal and ground of preaching, and the means by which men preach is the Holy Spirit (23). Piper goes on to state that he has a burden to plead for the glory of God in preaching with the grand object of preaching to be the infinite and inexhaustible being of God (24). Brutality and Deceit in A Streetcar Named Desire Essay A Streetcar Named Desire is a socially challenging play in light of the way in which Tennessee Williams depicts the capacity of human nature for brutality and deceit. He takes the viewpoint that, no matter how structured or civilized society is, all people will rely on their natural animal instincts, such as dominance and deception, to get themselves out of trouble at some stage in life. William s has created three main characters, Blanche Dubois, Stella Kowalski and Stanley Kowalski. In the powerful scene where Stanley loses total control of his actions and strikes the person whom he has sworn to protect, love and cherish, William s shows Stanley s lack of control and hatred of the new threat in his life, Blanche. What makes this scene so important to the topic is the way that the three characters react once the party has broken up. Blanche is in her usual state of panic; Stella has retreated upstairs, while Stanley stumbles around calling out Steeelllaaa in a drunken sweaty animal like manner. Surprisingly Stella answers her mate s calls and embraces him, the two of them exchanging words of compassion and kisses. Stanley then picks up Stella and carries her off to his den to make love, which is Stanley s way of apologizing. Stanley has to be the dominant male figure in all his relationships, not only with Stella and Blanche, but with his friends as well. He is a leader and instantly rises to the challenge whenever his status is threatened. Williams uses a different type of savagery in Blanche s character. • 30. Criticisms On Porter s Theory 4) Criticisms on Porter s Theory There have been many different reactions towards Porter s theory on how nations ought to compete. Some responses were validated while others rebutted his theory. Firstly, the positive response will be discussed before focusing on the criticisms of Porter s theory. Oz (2002) implemented Porter s Diamond model to analyse the competitive advantage of five Turkish industries and the outcome was favourable and thus validated Porter s theory. For example, the uncompetitive Turkish automobile industry resulted in uncompetitive companies, while the presence of demanding buyers and hence intense local rivalry in Turkish construction and leather clothing industries pushed the companies to innovate and become globally competitive. The Turkish findings by Oz thus validated Porter s theory that indeed, competitive industries of a nation are inclined to cluster together. On the other hand, the criticisms of Porter s theory vary widely from doubts on his theory s originality (Dunning, 1993; Grant, 1991; Rugman and D Cruz, 1993) to the over reliance on global export shares as the measure of global competitiveness (Cartwright, 1993; Grant, 1991; Rugman and D Cruz, 1993). • 32. Entanglement and Quantum Mechanics Entanglement is one of the most fundamental and yet unintuitive concepts in quantum mechanics. Maximally entangled two qubit states, often called Bell states, where shown to violate classical (local) correlation properties [33, 34] and are an essential building block for quantum communication and distributed quantum computation. Unfortunately, such entangled states are also difficult to generate and sustain as interaction with a noisy environment typically leads to rapid loss of their unique quantum properties. In the context of QSC, such an entanglement has been generated exploring various types of interactions such as direct qubit qubit interaction [35, 36], coupling to a common cavity mode [37] or photon mediated interactions for qubits embedded in a waveguide [38]. In this context, remote entanglement of spatially separated quantum systems have important im plications in addressing the scaling problem for quantum information processing. Indeed, as a solution to this scaling issue, we propose here to follow a modular approach where the quantum information is encoded, protected and locally manipulated in small units consisting of a few cavity modes or/and few qubits and the communication between modules is ensured through quantum teleportation techniques. Sharing of a pair of entangled subsystems between two modules is central for these teleportation pro tocols. While the isolation of the modules simplifies the scaling by avoiding any undesired cross talk between the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Discovering what ended the cretaceous period has been a major priority in the scientific world, however, with enough modern day research, scientists have nailed the extinction of the Dinosaurs down to two major theories; the asteroid impact theory, and the volcanic eruption theory, both being extremely alike. As research has been undertaken, scientists have evaluated all possible theories, distinguishing that there are two major possibilities; the volcano theory and the asteroid impact theory.
