African Anthropology Research Paper
This paper is just the latest to come from Professor Henshilwood and others research on African
archaeology that has debunked the idea that modern human behavior originated in Europe after about
40,000 years ago.
There is increasing evidence for an African origin for behavioral and technological modernity more
than 70,000 years ago and that the earliest origin of all Homo sapiens lies in Africa with a special
focus in southern Africa.
Last month MailOnline reported a new study by U.S. researchers which suggested the development of
high tech long range weapons 71,000 years ago in the region gave humans the killing edge to help
make us the dominant species.
The findings at Pinnacle Point, near Mossel Bay, included Stone Age technology that ... Show more

The Role Of The Accounting Profession And The Value Of The...
Accountants play an important role in the world of business. The article, The Future of the Accounting
Profession and the Value of the CPA. , illustrates the importance of the accounting profession and the
challenges that accountants face. With over ten years of experience working in the areas of finance
and office management, I have personal experience with various influences in the accounting world
that were discussed in the article. This includes topics such as technological advancements, the merits
of networking mentorship, the value of obtaining a CPA designation, accountancy education, and work
life balance (WLB). The accounting profession continues to evolve alongside social trends and
corporate developments, such as corporate social responsibility (CSR) and crowdfunding. In my
previous position as Director of Finance Administration at Disability Rights International (DRI), I
have traveled to many countries and conducted several international financial trainings and workshops
to encourage education, transparency, and self sustainability to local partners and field offices. I have
seen first hand how financial reporting and fiduciary responsibility is a powerful tool, which one can
wield to impact and empower to promote social change. However the reverse is also true: social
changes also affect financial reporting. After reading the Jones Jonas (2011) article, Corporate Social
Responsibility Reporting: The Growing Need for Input from the Accounting

Examples Of Social Class In Great Expectations
Social and Moral View of Victorian Society Through
The Great Expectations
Introduction:
This project is about the social and moral view of Victorian society through the author of many
acclaimed novels Charles Dickens s Great Expectations. Social view is basically relating to society or
its organization and moral is concerned with the principles of right and wrong behavior. Dickens was
not only the first great urban novelist in England, but also one of the most important social
commentators who used fiction effectively to criticize economic, social, and moral abuses in the
Victorian era. Dickens showed compassion and empathy towards the unguarded and disadvantaged
segments of English society, and contributed to several important social reforms. Dickens s deep ...

He used symbolism and imagery to show various social problems prevailing in society like class
discrimination. Social class determined the way or the manner in which a person was treated that is
according to his class and access to education .In The Great Expectations, a person s social class
shows the amount of education they had. It is important to perceive this relationship between
education and social class to distinctly understand the worth of social class. A person like Joe who was
a common blacksmith had no education at all. On the other side, Pip, in the early days when he
belonged to low class, had poor education at a small school. The school was not one of the best
schools, but it s all that the lower class had for them. The teacher spent more time sleeping than
teaching. Another example of how social class affects education is the distinction of education
between the two convicts. Magwitch, born poor and a low class had no education at all while
Compeyson who was born rich, a high class and a gentleman with an excellent education. Education
was a important factor in showing how Social class really greatly determined people s lives. Though
Social class too determined many other qualities but

Stokesie In John Updike s A P
In John Updike s story, A P, the character Stokesie would most likely choose to spend the next thirty
years working in the supermarket. Stokesie is a twenty two year old married man who has two
children. Most likely, Stokesie has not received a college education and as a result works at the A P
supermarket. Sammy, the narrator of A P states, I forgot to say he thinks he s going to be manager
some sunny day, maybe in 1990 (Updike 17). Sammy s observations of Stokesie s ambitions show that
Stokesie plans on working at the A P long enough to be promoted from sales clerk to manager. It could
take years for Stokesie to get promoted to such a high position. In addition to this, Stokesie would
work as manager of the A P for many years ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Braaksma s essay, Some Lessons from the Assembly Line Braaksma states, The most stressful thing
about blue collar life is knowing your job could disappear overnight (Braaksma 485). Experiencing
such paranoia about losing a job and also completing hard manual labor has taught Braaksma to
appreciate what he has in life such as his education. Braaksma s experience would push him to advise
Sammy to keep his job because Sammy s job at the A P was secure and easy, labor wise. He would
advise that Sammy take advantage of his job because it is one that many wish they could have.
However, James Lincoln Collier might support Sammy in his decision to quit his job. In Collier s
essay, Anxiety: Challenge by Another Name, Collier states, Each time you try something, you learn,
and as the learning piles up, the world opens to you (Collier 85). Collier would consider Sammy s
decision part of a learning experience. He would advise Sammy to quit his job because it is something
new and would teach Sammy life lessons that would help him in the future. I would advise Sammy to
think his decision through before quitting his job. In the story, A P, it seemed as though Sammy quit
his job rather abruptly for no reason at all. He quit his job to look like a hero in front of Queenie and
her friends but they had already left the store. I would advise Sammy to think

The Effect Of Reflex On Children s Health
Introduction:
Reflex can defined as an automatic and often inborn response to a stimulus that involves a nerve
impulse passing inward from a receptor to a nerve center and thence outward to an effector (as a
muscle or gland) without reaching the level of consciousness (Merriam Webster) or more simply put
an reaction to an action that our bodies do to return to homeostasis without us having to think about it.
Reflexes play an extremely important role in remaining healthy and protecting us from being harmed
without having to take the time to think about it. For example, infants have a suck reflex that causes
them to start sucking when the roof of their mouths are stimulated; this reflex is obviously important
because if infants did not have this reflex, they could die of starvation since they would not be able to
draw milk from their mother s breast (this is actually a problem with premature infants as the suck
reflex does not develop until between the 32nd and 36th week of pregnancy) (Stanford Children s
Health). There are two main types of reflexes the simpler monosynaptic reflexes (or spinal reflexes)
that can act without any input from the brain and the more complex superficial reflexes which still
requiring some processing from the brain. A reflex consists of five main components, which as a
group are called the reflex arc. Component one is the sensory receptor, which receives stimulus and
then sends an and impulse to the second component, the afferent pathway. The

Differences Of Squid And Octopus
What is these creatures? Squid and Octopus are categories in sub marine animal. Squid and Octopus
are still one family, both of these animals are The Cephalopoda family. What is Cephalopoda?
Cephalopods, is the class of mollusks which scientists classify octopuses, squid, cuttlefish and
nautiluses, can change color faster than a chameleon. They can also change texture and body shape,
and, and if those camouflage techniques don t work, they can still disappear in a cloud of ink, which
they use as a smoke screen or decoy. (Wood,2017) This species is common find in ocean or seas
anywhere. Both of it are interesting sea creatures, but they are differed in their physical characteristic

Octopuses and squids can swim in any direction and can alter their course quickly. Squids use fins
located on their heads to propel themselves when swimming at low speeds. These fins steer and
stabilize the squids when moving slowly, and wrap around the body when they move quickly, by way
of jet propulsion. Most octopuses do not have fins as adults. Some deep water octopuses are
exceptions. (Octopuses Squids,n.d)
How do octopuses and squids reproduce? The male octopus uses a specialized arm called a
hectocotylus to transfer sperm to the mantle cavity of a receptive female. The female lays strings of
fertilized eggs on the roof of her den. She guards, cleans and aerates the eggs with water expelled
from her siphon until hatching. This can be anywhere from 30 days to a year, depending on the
species. The female may build a wall of rocks to seal off the den and will remain in the den until just
before she dies, after the eggs have hatched. Squids often mate in large groups, and attach their egg
capsules to the ocean floor or to seaweed. Most adult octopuses and squid die after reproducing. Their
bodies are recycled in the food web, nourishing other animals, and ultimately providing food for their
young when they hatch. (Octopuses

Reflective Essay About Math
There is a short list of things that keep me up at night. Beyond being anxious or too excited for
something that s happening tomorrow, math is the most common offender. Ironic because math is
infamous for making students sleep. When I get my head wrapped around a problem, I cannot seem to
sleep until I have come to some satisfactory conclusion or found a way to get my mind off of it.
Although, holding my sleep hostage really is a great way to make me solve the problem! I don t just
think about it when I sleep, it also invades my thoughts when I m trying to focus on an audiobook in
the car or as I am walking and taking in the scenery of early morning Harrisburg on my way to school.
I love thinking about math and the reward of finding a problem s solution is ever so satisfying. I know
that whatever I focus on in my future has to involve these kinds of problems, the problems that keep
me up at night and entertain my thoughts throughout the day.
I also, however, love to learn about the sciences. I am ever curious about the make up of molecular
compounds, the interaction of particles at the subatomic level, unification theory, the origin of mass,
spooky action at a distance (one of my favorites. Thanks, Einstein,) physics influence on my view of
functions, entanglement, and the mathematics of electrical systems. This list is just the start; I have yet
to start asking the deep questions in biology, anthropology, and other sciences! As if it isn t hard
enough to choose a major

Is Walden Still Relevant
Is Walden still relevant?
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and
see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
This quote by Thoreau shows the way he wanted to live, deliberately, people need a purpose it s how
we work, therefore Walden is relevant. Even though Walden is redundant and Thoreau is believed to
be hypocritical, and he didn t isolate himself as it seems in the memoir. Walden is more relevant than
ever, because the core idea is that by living frugally and naturally, you can have more time to spend as
you like with purpose. Simplicity allows us to have a richer life.
Thoreau existed simply ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without a purpose, live would be empty. One can t live deliberately, the way Thoreau wanted to live.
To live deliberately in the way Thoreau wrote about was to spend time simply observing with a
purpose, even if to extend one s knowledge. Life s purpose depends on the person, Thoreau states that
he doesn t expect everyone to fall into his step. Many say Walden is redundant and Thoreau is
believed to be hypocritical, and he didn t isolate himself as it seems in the memoir. Yes, Thoreau may
have been condescending, scolding, and judgmental, but these traits don t reflect on the quality of
Thoreau s writing. Reading Walden isn t for everyone, nor is Thoreau s lifestyle. Thoreau writes as
though he lived in the middle of nowhere while he truly lived a half an hour walk from the town.
Conversely this idea of isolation Thoreau portrays for himself doesn t dispute the ideas and philosophy
in Walden .
In conclusion, Walden is more relevant than ever. Thoreau lived simple unmaterialistic existence as he
stayed at Walden Pond, for he believed the material wealth lead to spiritual downfalls. The ideas of
purposeful living and the living amongst nature is still prevalent to this day. Thoreau wrote of nature,
and how he coexisted with it, learned from it. Observing nature gave Thoreau a purpose while he was
at Walden Pond. Through living simply and unmaterialistic one can live life to the

Use of Energy by the Human Body
Throughout a normal day, the body uses glucose in the form of energy. The glucose that the body uses
is attained from carbohydrates that one receives from a meal eaten during the day. However, when
glucose begins to run out, especially if a person is rigorously exercising, and is not restocked, the body
must use its energy supplies, glycogen. Glycogen is one of the most important polysaccharides in the
human body. It is the body s stored energy; with the highest storing sites being the muscles and liver.
Glycogen is important to the liver because it is able to provide a backup supply of glucose so that
blood glucose concentration is maintained at a sufficient level to supply the brain during times of
starvation. Glycogen s function in sustaining blood glucose levels is imperative because glucose is
essentially the only fuel source used by the brain. The primary function of muscle glycogen is to
supply fuel for the contraction of the muscles during exercise. However, insufficient amount of
glycogen in the liver and muscles can lead to numerous diseases, diseases like Glycogen Storage
Disorders (GSD). Glycogen synthesis and breakdown occur by distinctive pathways that are catalyzed
by different enzymes. Glycogen phosphorylation involves three steps: the first is the release of glucose
1 phosphate from glycogen, then altering of the glycogen substrate to allow additional
phosphorylation, and last is the conversion of glucose 1 phosphate to glucose 6 phosphate. Glycogen

Theme Of Hector And Irruin In The History Boys
Hector is the Hero of Act One and Irwin is the Villain How far do you agree?
In Allan Bennett s, The History Boys, controversial teachers hector and Irwin are made out as one
hero and the other a villain. The ability to be able to distinguish these complex characters as a hero, a
person who is admired for their admirable nature; or a villain, who s immoral and erroneous actions
characterise them distinctly; is irrelevant as they both harbour characteristics seen as desirable and
distasteful. Both Hector and Irwin display qualities characteristic of being both a hero and villain,
therefore neither being solely one or the other. Hector and Irwin are neither solely a hero or villain as
they both commit actions that are typical of being a tragic Hero (Hector) and an Anti hero (Irwin).
Hector can be seen as the Hero in this play as his want for his students to be enriched by education
portrays him as a cool and revered mentor. To become this figure that appeals to the audience, hector s
teaching style is portrayed as irrelevant, interesting and energetic. Irrelevance is affirmed by his use of
French in the comedic prostitute scene (p12 19). The use of the French language in the dialogue is
used to convey how connected the boys and Hector are. The flourishing nature of French presents a
kind of mystery to their fun; to all that don t understand, it s like being left out of a club. By having his
general studies lesson in French, completely off topic, Hector gains the

If management can increase their WACM, their goal will be easier to achieve. The best way to
increase their WACM is to decrease their variable costs. This is because increasing the price of their
services might lead to a decrease in their number of customers. A high WACM also means that every
revenue that Bridgestone earns will have a large impact on the coverage of their fixed expenses. The
next thing that needs to be analyzed about the annual budget of Bridgestone for next year would be the
break even point. As discussed, break even point is the point where the revenues and expenses are
equal and thus, will have a zero profit. To put it simply, companies should always set their budgeted
volume of sales above the break even point if they want to be profitable. And they should also do their
best to meet the break even point because if the volume of sales is less than the break even point,
companies are sure to experiences losses which might affect the entire company and its employees.
The break even point can be expressed in two ways. It can be expressed in terms of units, and it can be
expressed in terms of sales amount. The formula for the break even point expressed in units is as
follows: BREAK EVEN POINT (IN UNITS) = FIXED EXPENSES/ UNIT CM BREAK EVEN
POINT (IN UNITS) = $3493700/(3500000/75150) BREAK EVEN POINT (IN UNITS) = 75,015

MMA or Mixed martial arts is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and

The combat sport of vale tudo that came from Brazil from the 1920s was brought to the U.S by the
Gracie family in 1993 with the founding of the Ultimate Fighting Championship .

Another early example of mma was Bartitsu, which Edward Barton Wright founded in London in
1899. Combining jujutsu, judo, boxing, canne de combat and savate, Bartitsu was the first martial art
known to have combined Asian and European fighting styles, and which saw MMA style competitions
throughout England, pitting Japanese and European champions against representatives of various
European wrestling styles. In Japan the contests were known as merikan, from the Japanese slang for
American . These contests were fought under a variety of rules including points decision,
knockdowns, and victory via submission or knockout.
As the admiration of professional wrestling waned after World War I it split into two genres: shoot , in
which the fighters really competed, and show , which changed into modern professional wrestling.
In 1963, Judo Gene Lebell fought the professional boxer Milo Savage in a no holds barred fight.
Lebell won by a rear naked choke, leaving Milo Savage unconscious.
In the late 1960s to early 1970s, the theory of combining multiple martial arts was popularized in the
west by Bruce Lee his method of Jeet Kune Do. Bruce Lee thought that the best fighter is not a Boxer,
Karate or Judo man. The best fighter is someone who can adapt to any style, to be formless, to adopt
an individual s own style and not following the system of styles. In 2004, UFC President Dana White

Nobody ever listens to a teenager. Everybody thinks you should be happy just because you re young.
They don t see the wars that we fight every single day. And one day, my war will end. And I won t die.
And I will not tolerate abuse from anyone. I am strong. These are the words of one of Erin Gruwell s
Long Beach, California high school students. The actors and actresses of Freedom Writers are Hilary
Swank, April Lee Hernandez, and Patrick Dempsey. They represent Erin Gruwell, Maria Reyes, and
Scott Casey ( Freedom Writers True Story ). The movie Freedom Writers is based on a true story, it is
easy to question how much of the plot is factual when seeing these words. However, almost every
situation contained in the film portrays what actually occurred. In the movie, when the students read
from their diaries, these are the real diaries from the students. Scenes including a Toast for Change ,
Holocaust survivor visits, a trip to the Holocaust museum, specific in class activities, and many more

the film Freedom Writers is gang life and the effects of it on children; there are many lessons to be

applies for a teaching position she is not prepared to face. At first, the students are uncontrollable, and

Analysis Of The Kite Runner And Les Miserabless
Les Miserables is a book filled with Tragedy and the fight between the protagonist, name of the
protagonist, and the world he lives in. The book The Kite Runner talks about the main character and
his father have both done terrible acts which they keep a secret. This secret will only cause pain and
heartbreak later in the story. In the books The Kite Runner and Les Miserables society decides what
and who is civilized and barbaric, what and who is right and wrong. Sometimes society can be wrong
and classify someone as barbaric, but in complete actuality they are more civil than the ones who
judge.
Jean Valjean is a man who people perceive as a monster, who can never be a changed man and who
will always be a criminal. We observe in Les Miserables Jean Valjean only became a criminal for the
sake of feeding his sister s children and was wrongfully imprisoned for 19 long and tortuous years.
Now, with a life that can only be lived in despair, a name which is tainted with his criminal past, and
with a only a few decades left of his life. Jean Valjean is homeless and unemployed. A man named
Monsieur Bienvenu showed Jean Valjean the power of forgiveness and empathy, and a direct effect of
this is the change Jean Valjean goes through. From what society classified as a completely destructive
and barbaric man to one of the uttermost civilized and respected men in France, under the alias
Monsieur Madeleine . As, Monsieur Madeleine he does an innumerable amount good deeds and gave
so much back to the people that begged him to be mayor. ...that the king again appointed him mayor of
the city. He refused again... Les Miserables Pg. 57. If he stayed with the name society had left him
with then, this would have never happened.
Javert is a character in Les Miserables who is all about justice and truth. He always wants to be a man
of justice and purge the world of liars, crooks, thieves, and criminals. Jean Valjean ,in Javert s eyes,
needs to be exposed for the criminal he is and must answer for his crimes. Javert represents societies
want for Jean Valjean to answer for his crimes and their want to put a barbaric man behind bars, even
though Jean Valjean is far from a barbaric man, society thinks/believes otherwise.

The Long-Term Effects Of Abortion
According to CBS News, there are 12 abortions per 1,000 women in Western Europe, 15 per 1,000
women in Southern Africa, and 17 per 1,000 women in Oceania. In North America, there are 19
abortions per 1,000 women, and 43 abortions per 1,000 women in Eastern Europe. Even though, the
number of abortion around the globe is tremendous, very few people stop to think about the
consequences of these in the mother. The long term effects of having an abortion can harm the mother
in some many ways and cause irreversible effects. Damage to the mother can be either physical,
psychological or both.
Physically, the most common result of an abortion is infertility. It can easily happen since it is due in
this case to the fallopian tubes known as Salpingitis.

Trump To Christianity Research Paper
Is it too late for Trump to find Jesus?
Absolutely not! It s never too late to find Jesus... unless you are dead and then even that is debatable
depending on which religious philosophy you subscribe to.
The fact that Trump has claimed to become a Born again Christian is really a positive step in the
Christian direction... because acknowledging and accepting Christ as one s Savior is really the first
step to becoming a Christian.
If you analyze it from a true Christian s perspective, it can be considered cogent reasoning to identify
Trump as a baby Christian, just like James C. Dobson suggested. There are some well documented
facts in regards to Mr. Trumps Christianity conversion.
First, Dobson is one of the United States most prominent evangelical leaders and he was recorded

Trump is indeed a baby Christian and was converted in the most recent past, then reason would
support the idea that he could be a changed man or a changing man for that matter. Because true
conversion is a process. One may have a sincere desire to not sin or do evil anymore, but the process
of changing thoughts, behavior, default responses, and actions are transformations that take time. So
Trumps most recent behavior has been much better and from the evidence, it seems that most of his

Oedipus Relationship Between Hamlet and Gertrude
The Oedipal Relationship between Hamlet and Gertrude
Throughout William Shakespeare s Hamlet, Shakespeare portrays Hamlet with the same types of
behaviors and frustrations in humans that Sigmund Freud saw at a much later date. When the
relationship between Hamlet and his mother is analyzed Freud s oedipal complex theory comes to
mind.
Sigmund Freud first wrote about his theory in his book An Interpretation of Dreams in 1899. Simply
put, Freud states that it is normal for children to have sexual desires for their parent of the opposite
sex. He says that it is also normal to have feelings of hatred for the other parent that is of the same sex
as the child. Most children experience these feelings between the ages of three and five, ... Show more

He states that she seeks out incestuous pleasure of his bed. (3.4 . l. 90) This exploring of his mother s
carnal nature is because he is sexually concerned for her. Hamlet also makes many allusions to beds
and sex in the scene because beds are where most sexual activity occurs. An example of this is when
Hamlet says: In the rank sweat of an enseamented bed Stew d (3.4 . l. 93 96) It is possible that here
Shakespeare wanted to show how Hamlet s rage brought out all his repressed sexually desires for his
mother because of Hamlet s concentration on Gertrude s sex life. All of these words come out in
Hamlet s rage because before he had repressed them. It can be best explained by Freud when he sates
the complex which is thus formed is doomed to early repression (Freud 51) but it has a lasting
influence from the unconscious. (Freud 51) It could be concluded from a Freudian point of view that
in this scene Hamlet s repressed sexual desire for his mother surfaces due to his rage in a form of
sexual allusions.
The significance of the closet scene taking place in Gertrude s bedroom is also important to look at
because the privacy and intimacy of the bedroom add a new dimension when Hamlet s and Gertrude s
relationship is examined. Bedrooms are very private and are usually places where sexual activity takes
place. Shakespeare possibly placed Hamlet and Gertrude in these

Bodybuilding Vs Muscular Physiques
Over the years, it s become apparent that society as a whole has become far more enamoured with
bodybuilding and muscular physiques, and whereas in the past an overly muscular physique was
considered freakish and unnatural, nowadays it is the goal that many men, and women for that matter,
strive for. Just look at Hollywood icons such as Sly Stallone, The Rock, Hugh Jackman, and the king
of bodybuilding himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who still looks great despite being in his late 70 s!
Those guys, and numerous other individuals all have had a big influence over getting bodybuilding
accepted which is why it s more popular than ever. Bodybuilding supplements are generating billions
in profit each year, gym memberships are on the up, and more and more people are pumping iron and

Franny And Zooey By J. D. Salinger
For my summer reading book report I, unfortunately, chose the book Franny and Zooey, which
combines his short story Franny and novella Zooey by J.D. Salinger. One of the best parts of this book
was the ending on page 201, When she had replaced the phone, she seemed to know just what to do
next... Before she fell into a deep, dreamless sleep, she just lay quiet, smiling at the ceiling . This is a
great moment, partly because the book was over and there was no more pretentious complaining to
read, and partly because the story ended with all loose ends tied up simply and a main character
resolving her spiritual and emotional issues, which was the main plot point of the two stories. The
worst part of this book happened many times, one of the most notable times was on page 53 that
carried on to 53 In all that follows, only the two youngest of the seven children will be directly seen or
heard. , this sentence and the long footnote that follows it describes in overwhelming detail the lives of
the five other Glass siblings even though they are not mentioned more than in passing for the rest of
the story and fits the reoccurring theme of the author presenting loads of unnecessary information
which made this book boring and terrible to read. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide Analysis
Sexual objectification occurs when a person s body or body parts are treated as objects to be coveted
or desired. Women face sexual objectification everyday and Shange, in her novel For Colored Girls
Who Have Considered Suicide, takes several women from ambiguous backgrounds to reiterate the
challenges a woman faces in trying to maintain agency over her body through the ubiquitous nature of
sexual objectification and its ability to perpetuate gender violence. The first introduction we
experience from the women is their challenge with sexuality and embracing their bodies. The
graduation story is a story about a black girl who feels sexually liberated after losing her virginity. The
poem ends with the line, in the backseat of that ol buick/wow//by daybreak/ I just couldn t stop grinnin
(Shange 8). The young girl portrays that rite of passage from adolescence to adult after her first sexual
experience. Yet there is still that feel of naivety that clings to her since society has not yet diminished
her sense of sexual power. Shange depicts a young woman in control of her sexuality. ... Show more

There are times when society can wrench that control away. Shange illustrates the harsh truth about
the nature of rape. In the poem, Latent Rapists, Shange explains how rapist are no longer strangers
now but, [people] we can now meet them in circles we frequent for companionship (Shange 20). The
true nature of rape, that someone you know may become your rapist, is one that all women fear and
can see everyday of their life. Also, in society today, rarely is the full blame placed upon the men but
what the woman was doing, what she wore, where she was. Therefore, Shange explains the difficulty
that comes with pressing charges against a society controlled by

With Science and technology study, positivism was challenged and it has benefited from it. One
paradigms, Actor Network Theory, has helped spread the positivism. Actor Network Theory was
developed Michel Callon, Bruno Latour, and John Law. (pg. 81) It was created to understand social
aspects of science and technology. Actor Network Theory deals with human and non human entities.
Both entities form an association, combining with other actors to form a strong network. These actors
form a connection to push their agenda. This could be making a new scientific discovery, or it could
be stopping a company s product production. These actors work together for their cause. It would not
be a network if every member entertains their own plan.
In positivism, there are actors that push for this movement. The actors are the philosophers and

Purpose for Evaluation
Lady Macbeth is a white, Scottish lady of middle age and upper class background and social status.
She is married to the Thane of Cawdor and Glamis, Lord Macbeth, and currently has no need for a job
and remains a housewife. She was admitted due to the express referral of her husband, Macbeth, who
insisted that she needed immediate psychoanalysis and potentially medication. I have taken the chance
to interview her, on the request from her husband, so I may judge for myself the severity of the
situation at hand. After a conversation with Macbeth, it seems to be that Lady Macbeth is suffering ...

Memory functions were grossly intact with respect to immediate and remote recall of events and
factual information. There was no evidence of perceptual disorder. Social judgment appeared poor, as
evidenced by a lack of appropriate interactions with staff and other patients on the ward and by
disruptive efforts to treatment goals required for discharge. Pathological lying was shown throughout
the examination in the most extreme form; these were deceitful, unscrupulous, manipulative, and
dishonest behaviour. Only on rare occasions were cases of these traits were uncovered due to the layer
of superficial charm that Lady Macbeth has imposed upon herself. This point s towards the possibility
of Lady Macbeth being a psychopath instead of having an underlying depressive disorder.
Summary of Evaluation
Results of psychological evaluation reveal an extended history of alcohol abuse and a psychotic
disorder characterized primarily by disturbance of thought content. Due to the extended need for anti
depressant drugs, it would suggest that Lady Macbeth might suffer from a depressive disorder.
However, the repeated need for the drugs, four years after the initial prescription would indicate that
an addiction has occurred. The current clinical presentation appears to represent a chronic psychotic
disturbance which had its onset approximately four years ago (the death of her child). She lacks

Early Childhood Abuse and the Effects on Emotional...
Early childhood abuse and the effects on emotional development
Abstract
The present research is aimed at providing an account of early childhood abuse and its effects on
further emotional development. A first focus falls on outlining the psychological stages of emotional
development and the notion of emotional response, followed by a thorough analysis of the child abuse
spectrum together with effects, both early and belated, of general and most notably socio emotional
nature.
Firstly, the meaning of emotional regulation and Erik Erikson s theory of eight stages of development
are depicted, with special emphasis on early childhood. This is done for the purpose of underlining the
importance of regular emotional development as opposed to one impaired by abuse.
Secondly, stress falls on describing and classifying child abuse and its prevalence in children under six
years of age. After a brief outline of the areas in which a victim is challenged, focus shifts onward to
specific emotional and social drawbacks that ensue. A more in depth account of this matter follows,
enlisting Alan Schore s right brain correlations, an analysis based on the phenomenon of dissociation,
and other probable prospects for the victim.
The conclusions venture a realistic overview on the aspect of early childhood abuse and its outcomes.
Development of a person throughout his or her whole lifetime can be seen either as a continuous
process or as a final status to be attained. Psychologists agree

They don t want to share their experiences on death and try to shade their young ones from ever
discovering about it (Mullin 2008). In Islam, Muslims categorize death as the transitory period of one
state to another. The religion elaborates that living in the world is a test in which if they succeed they
reap the benefits after death. The religion signifies that death is something that should be accepted as a
part of living. This is seen apparent through old age, terminal illness, or even mourning in stages of a
Muslim s life (Aziz 1998, pp. 138 140).
Treatment of Death by Individuals Each individual on this world is unique and different in every way.
They can be different according to their values, morals, and experiences. Values and morals shape a
person on what is right or wrong and how they should react in certain situations. For example, in case
of death, some people have complete breakdowns when someone dies while others just feel dead
inside with no reaction whatsoever. Lisa Firestone states that being aware of death can allow humans
to treat life differently. Conscious awareness makes people make better decisions and try to avoid
death at an early stage. Every year in the United States of America, there are several people who die in
drug abuse and violent attacks. Basic example of 9/11 comes to mind in terms of terrorism which
makes people fear death. From that, people learn to be more aware and

It is stereotypically correct to say that pink is a girl s color, but that wasn t always so. The history of
how pink came to represent feminism started in WWII, it was up until then the men that were

a female equality/ feminist issue with women being barred into employment. Because of WWII, most
of the men in America were drafted out to war and women substituted in the absence of men s labor.

After making these changes the company declared themselves as the fastest growing wireless

being targeted by retail, one will see that they are the same. According to the research done by Time,
there s a stronger emotional and personal connection to their mobile devices by females. The key
differences between men and woman in relation to their mobile devices is that a woman is more
engaged with her phone in a way that there is more fulfillment in getting things done with her mobile
device. The Un carrier movement is a solution primarily to American females. The strategy of getting
personal interactions with the customers is what females prefer rather than taking to an automated help
line. The second strategy of a faster data service provides an expedited access for females to turn a
passive time into an active time. For instance, when a woman does her daily activities; there are some
down time that she would rather prefer to spend some time on her phone. This is the time that is

the only color that is apparent. One thing that will be guaranteed in all the marketing materials since
the Un carrier would be the distinct shade of pink; which is magenta. This shade of pink is present in
all of the materials that target women. The Un carrier movement is a solution

Lust and the Degeneration of Man Exposed in Shakespeare’s...
Lust and the Degeneration of Man Exposed in Shakespeare s 129th Sonnet
Love in its purest form is the most unsurpassable of all emotions, requiring intense commitment, while
simultaneously providing incomparable bliss. However, often the intense desire for these feelings
produces a new emotion, lust, with a craving that gives priority to obtaining an objectified person, as
opposed to a very real human. Lust can be further practically defined as the inability to place selfless
love on a higher pedestal than selfish desire. Shakespeare explores these conflicting definitions of lust
in his 129th sonnet, condemning his animalistic variations of lust that coexist with his desire for a
genuine state of love. As opposed to following the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When juxtaposed with the opening line, an inappropriate form of lust is a waste of the vitality that a
person can give to the world in the form of intellect. In accordance with this natural tendency, the tone
of the first half of the sonnet is most definitely savage (Martin 5), supported by the words
bloody...murderous, which brings about the connotation of a fierce creature of nature with only the
desire to quench the physical thirst. These first lines support the wild tendencies by comparing
Shakespeare s initial action of lust to the first defense (Vendler 551) of an animal, partial to
primitively impulsive behavior. The speaker is trying to erase his guilt when his rationality as a man
should advise a reformation of his reasons for love. Throughout the sonnet, there is a continuous
reference, more technically, a conceit of the hunt that further enhances the image of animals in their
natural setting, uninhibited by society s rules. Some critics have gone so far as to contest that
Shakespeare mocks primitive lust. However, its sole presence is quite pitiful, for the speaker is unable
to grasp a greater level of satisfaction that is everlasting, not ephemeral. The distinction between
selflessness and selfishness is one that separates the human from the savage animal, although these

Eternal Life In The Epic Of Gilgamesh
In The Epic of Gilgamesh, we re taught to appreciate life until the end. At the start of the story,
Gilgamesh is a powerful, but inconsiderate king. He wants so much, but instead of working for it, he
relies on fear to make other people do what he wants So he made his men to work, the women do his
beck and call, they wished that he was gone. (song, line 11 12) That is, until he meets Enkidu. The two
fight, but They both gave up, the battle ends and they decide to be best friends. (song, line 29 30)
Enkidu loyally accompanies Gilgamesh until he is struck with an illness and dies. After that,
Gilgamesh becomes consumed in his task to become immortal. During his journey, Shiduri attempts to
tell Gilgamesh that he will never obtain eternal life, but should cherish the life he s got left and spend
it in happiness, not despair. (456) because what is the point in living forever if you don t know
happiness? After Gilgamesh loses the plant meant to give him eternal life, he is in a state of complete
anguish. He feels like everything he did was in vain. The epic ends with him admiring his magnificent
city and appreciating its beauty and the work put into it. In a way, nothing significantly changes, but at
the same time, to him, everything does. Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas is a good example of

What Is Tacit Knowledge Approach
The tacit knowledge approach highlights understanding the sorts of knowledge that individuals in an
organization have, moving people to transfer knowledge within an organization and managing key
individuals as knowledge creators and carriers. One of the significant capabilities of competition is
managing perceived intangible assets such as knowledge in organization. Besides managing this
intangible asset of enterprises, another vital issue is considered as diffusion of knowledge within the
organization. Knowledge resources can be divided into at least two different components depending
on the possibility of structuring and coding the knowledge. The possibility to code and the
externalization of knowledge is of essential importance to the diffusion of it according to some
researchers, while other again considers the codifying unnecessary or of minor importance. Structured
knowledge is often diffused by different systems for storing and sharing knowledge and today there
has been much scientific interest in the technology of these systems. The most important feature of the
tacit knowledge approach is the fundamental principle that knowledge is basically individual in nature

Patient Protection And Affordable Care Act
H.R. 3590 (111th): Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
When president Obama was a candidate in the 2008 election he promised wide scale health care
reform that would increase the availability and affordability of medical insurance for a large portion of
the American population. At the time of his campaign, millions of low income Americans were stuck
in the Medicaid gap where they could not afford health insurance, but also were not eligible for the

Of those people many were considered below the poverty threshold, however due to strict state
regulations these individuals or families did not qualify for insurance through Medicaid. As a result,
when these Americans needed to be seen by doctors, insured tax paying American s would be stuck
with their bills. In order to alleviate this problem, president Obama decided to lead a major campaign
to increase the affordability of health care. Through draft bills in the house and senate, the Affordable

became a law would be left without insurance. The bill has two main parts making healthcare
affordable to low income families and increasing the scope of Medicaid eligibility. Before
ObamaCare, families and individuals who were not covered by employers for healthcare had to seek
out insurance on their own. This task proved very difficult as insurance providers charged steep prices
for coverage. In short, health care coverage was not affordable to a large portion of the population.
The law seeks to cover Americans who are between 138% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Betrayed By Milan Kundera Analysis
In his excerpt from Testaments Betrayed, Milan Kundera claims that for one to be truly free, one must
have the right to privacy. He says that the curtain must remain closed between private and public and
that those curtain rippers are criminals. However, although I believe that privacy must be respected
and protected, there are times when the invasion of privacy may be necessary if a person s life or well
being is in immediate danger. Kundera claims that for a man to be free; that the curtain separating
these two worlds is not to be tampered with... I agree with this part of his argument; privacy is
something that has to be revered and enforced, as it is every man s right to have that freedom. My
stance on this is supported by the U.S Constitution. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If a parent suspects that his or her child is suffering from depression or is involved in hazardous
activity like drugs, alcohol, or a bad relationship, I believe should be allowed to violate the child s
privacy. By simply looking through the kid s phone or computer, a parent can find an underlying
problem that the child would have otherwise not have told them. A parent must protect their child
from anything that could harm them, even if it s protecting the children from themselves, and the only
way to do this (if the child refuses to confide) is to deliberately invade their privacy. As it happens,
this violation of a child s privacy also occurs in a medical environment. If a psychologist s patient is
exhibiting either suicidal tendencies or is under danger of any form of abuse, the doctor is required by
law to make it known to either authorities or the parental guardians that their child is in danger. These
actions are a direct infringement of a person s freedom that Kundera will readily disagree with, but if
the curtain that keeps privacy undisclosed remains tightly shut, these cases may never be uncovered

Aging Skin Care Tips
At the time of birth the baby s skin is soft, smooth and impeccable. As the time passes, the skin has to

Skin thins and collagen that once held your face firm and taut begins to break down. Combat the signs
of aging by implementing simple changes to your lifestyle and skin care regime. Follow the seven anti
aging skin care tips to reduce the speed at which your skin shows age, and minimize the occurrence of
wrinkles and fine lines. Anti aging skin care begins by moisturizing your skin Use a moisturizer as a
part of your every day facial cleansing routine, regardless of your age. Prevention is the best
protection against aging. Products that effectively deliver vitamin C to the skin encourage your skins
natural production of collagen. Invest wisely in moisturizers that feel light and are absorbed into the
skins surface. Otherwise, you are using a protective product that simply sits on the skin. You need a
skin care moisturizer to provide hydration beneath the top layer of skin. Greasy moisturizers are also
more likely to clog pores, increasing the potential for blackheads and pimples. If you are beginning to
show signs of aging, amp up your moisturizer to an anti aging skin cream or anti aging serum.
Common sense anti aging skin care: Eat a healthy, well balanced diet Your skin is your body s largest
organ and is affected by the food you eat. Foods rich in vitamin C and E may help the skins
production of collagen. A healthy, well balanced diet filled with fruits and green leafy vegetables will
be reflected in lustrous, healthy looking skin. Likewise, a poor diet will be reflected by dull, pasty
skin. Diet plays an important role in your quest for anti aging skin care. Stop smoking You are already
aware of the dangers to your body caused by smoking. This is just a reminder that smoking causes
your skin to age faster. It can also clog pores, leading to dull, dead skin cells and blemishes. If your
goal is anti aging skin care, drop the cigarettes. It s easier said than done, but you have a choice to
make. Inexpensive

1:45. The Franks start to prepare lunch at 1:00 and is ready to eat at 1:15. After they ate they would
listen to the BBC until the workers got back. Then it would be silent again. Now the nightly freedom .
At 5:30 is when they get to have their nightly freedom as Anne says in her diary. Everybody working
has gone home by then, but Bep Voskuijl asks if they are anymore groceries needed and then she goes
home around 5:45. Then all the people hiding spread out to the office space downstairs. Later Auguste
Van Pels and Edith Frank would announce supper was ready. Depending on when the radio is

Women s Reproductive Rights
Before I begin I have a question: You are holding a petri dish containing a fertilized egg in one hand
and a baby in the other hand; you trip and can only save one which do you pick? Where do we live?
The United States. The United States is thought to be the country of the free. As citizens of the United
States we have many freedoms: freedom of press, freedom of speech, freedom of religion and
currently freedom of choice. We have fought for the freedom in our country, yet are women free? Are
women free if they can not decide how they care for their bodies or own reproductive systems?
Women should have the right to choose. Women deserve the right to choose. They deserve respect
when they choose. People are allowed to legally get piercings ... Show more content on

Yes it will change both of the parents lives but it will not change the bystander s life. If people have
the choice of an abortion that does not mean they need to take. It does not affect Pro Life supporters to
know there is a choice of abortion. They do not need to associate themselves with it. Pro Choice
supporters do not get angry when people don t get abortions because that would be ridiculous. Just
like non abortionists should not get angry when people exercise their freedom of choice. Parents that
go through with abortions are not taking the easy way out. They have to deal with the guilt for the rest
of their lives. Even if they are pro choice they still ended would could have been a life and will have
to carry this around with them. It is not an easy decision, it is not something people don t spend
massive amounts of times thinking about.
Getting an abortion is simply exercising your personal freedom of

Similarities Between The Reprimand And The Blizzard
The Reprimand is a very different form of deception than David Ives The Blizzard . The Reprimand
deception issue had more to do with girl drama as if the ladies were still in high school. The Blizzard
on the other hand has more real life deception. Jenny and Neil, a middle aged husband and wife were
staying in their cabin in the middle of nowhere when the weather started to get bad, the phone lines
were down, and they had neither satellite signal nor a signal on the radio. Neil became very concerned
because they were waiting on his brother and sister in law to arrive. Shortly later they hear a couple
calling for Neil, Neil begins to think it is his brother. To his surprise it was not; it was Salim and
Natasha. They claimed they came

Effects Of The Media On Society
Chapter 3: Effects of the Media Though war contributed to changes in society, the media was the
driving factor behind changes including the fixation with beauty among women. Magazines had the
ability to perpetuate the already emerging ideals. The idea of self improvement became a very popular
topic in the 1920s seen across all women s magazines, contributing to the progression from the middle
class women to the New Woman. This New Woman was one of beauty and fun with admiration and
lasting popularity as stated in International Women s News magazine, promoting fragrances that made
such claims. The emergence of products and methods to attain the arising beauty standards fared well
in combination with advertising that enforced fears and vanity associated with such.
Change in Beauty Standards: Topic sentence? Products such as reducing belts and slimming baths
were advertised to reduce body weight. With more leisure time after production and integration of
automated machines (is this supporting opposition?) books and magazines were in every household.
The best seller diet book written by Dr. Lulu Hunt Peter, Diet and Health, the Key to Calories, was
popularized as the body image of women was brought to the forefront of their minds. This idea known
as scientific homemaking was used by advertisers to convince women of how they should feel, and
thus change their consumerism habits. Advertising of the 20s had shifted from portraying delicate
ladies to the fun New

My Best Moment In Short Story
My heart pounded as I approached the goal. With only thirty seconds left on the clock, it was finally
my chance to prove myself. We were only one goal down and this could lead us to win. But, I had to
think fast. One mistake could lead my team to what we have feared this whole time⸺losing. I
couldn t have that happen, especially because we have had an exceptionally good season so far and
this is our last time to show that. Today we are finally playing her. We have fought about this many
nights and this is my time to show this.
We had worked for months for this moment. We have poured our hearts into our training and this is
our time to prove it. It was like time had stopped and it was all up to me. In the corner of my eye, I
could see the crowd waiting in anticipation. I saw my parents watching me like a hawk and their faces,
worried yet happy. I saw my little brother sitting in my mom s lap, following the ball with his eyes as
it streaked across the field. As I looked around the crowd, I saw the opponents parents all on the edge
of their seats everybody, waiting and waiting to afraid to move a muscle. Then, it hit me, this was all
up to me, my moment. As the ball came rolling to my feet through the freshly cut grass, it came to a
sudden halt as it hit my foot.
The thirty seconds I had a few moments ago were now slowly passing. I needed to act, and quick. As I
looked down at soccer ball gleaming in the sunlight, I realized I was getting closer and closer to the
goal. I

African Anthropology Research Paper This paper is just the latest to come from Professor Henshilwood and others research on African archaeology that has debunked the idea that modern human behavior originated in Europe after about 40,000 years ago. There is increasing evidence for an African origin for behavioral and technological modernity more than 70,000 years ago and that the earliest origin of all Homo sapiens lies in Africa with a special focus in southern Africa. Last month MailOnline reported a new study by U.S. researchers which suggested the development of high tech long range weapons 71,000 years ago in the region gave humans the killing edge to help make us the dominant species. The article, The Future of the Accounting Profession and the Value of the CPA. , illustrates the importance of the accounting profession and the challenges that accountants face. With over ten years of experience working in the areas of finance and office management, I have personal experience with various influences in the accounting world that were discussed in the article. This includes topics such as technological advancements, the merits of networking mentorship, the value of obtaining a CPA designation, accountancy education, and work life balance (WLB). In my previous position as Director of Finance Administration at Disability Rights International (DRI), I have traveled to many countries and conducted several international financial trainings and workshops to encourage education, transparency, and self sustainability to local partners and field offices. I have seen first hand how financial reporting and fiduciary responsibility is a powerful tool, which one can wield to impact and empower to promote social change. Examples Of Social Class In Great Expectations Social and Moral View of Victorian Society Through The Great Expectations Introduction: This project is about the social and moral view of Victorian society through the author of many acclaimed novels Charles Dickens s Great Expectations. Social view is basically relating to society or its organization and moral is concerned with the principles of right and wrong behavior. Dickens was not only the first great urban novelist in England, but also one of the most important social commentators who used fiction effectively to criticize economic, social, and moral abuses in the Victorian era. Dickens showed compassion and empathy towards the unguarded and disadvantaged segments of English society, and contributed to several important social reforms. Dickens s deep ... Social class determined the way or the manner in which a person was treated that is according to his class and access to education .In The Great Expectations, a person s social class shows the amount of education they had. It is important to perceive this relationship between education and social class to distinctly understand the worth of social class. A person like Joe who was a common blacksmith had no education at all. On the other side, Pip, in the early days when he belonged to low class, had poor education at a small school. The school was not one of the best schools, but it s all that the lower class had for them. The teacher spent more time sleeping than teaching. Another example of how social class affects education is the distinction of education between the two convicts. Magwitch, born poor and a low class had no education at all while Compeyson who was born rich, a high class and a gentleman with an excellent education. Education was a important factor in showing how Social class really greatly determined people s lives. Though Social class too determined many other qualities but ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Sammy, the narrator of A P states, I forgot to say he thinks he s going to be manager some sunny day, maybe in 1990 (Updike 17). Sammy s observations of Stokesie s ambitions show that Stokesie plans on working at the A P long enough to be promoted from sales clerk to manager. Braaksma s experience would push him to advise Sammy to keep his job because Sammy s job at the A P was secure and easy, labor wise. • 8. The Effect Of Reflex On Children s Health Introduction: Reflex can defined as an automatic and often inborn response to a stimulus that involves a nerve impulse passing inward from a receptor to a nerve center and thence outward to an effector (as a muscle or gland) without reaching the level of consciousness (Merriam Webster) or more simply put an reaction to an action that our bodies do to return to homeostasis without us having to think about it. Reflexes play an extremely important role in remaining healthy and protecting us from being harmed without having to take the time to think about it. For example, infants have a suck reflex that causes them to start sucking when the roof of their mouths are stimulated; this reflex is obviously important because if infants did not have this reflex, they could die of starvation since they would not be able to draw milk from their mother s breast (this is actually a problem with premature infants as the suck reflex does not develop until between the 32nd and 36th week of pregnancy) (Stanford Children s Health). There are two main types of reflexes the simpler monosynaptic reflexes (or spinal reflexes) that can act without any input from the brain and the more complex superficial reflexes which still requiring some processing from the brain. A reflex consists of five main components, which as a group are called the reflex arc. Component one is the sensory receptor, which receives stimulus and then sends an and impulse to the second component, the afferent pathway. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Some deep water octopuses are exceptions. (Octopuses Squids,n.d) How do octopuses and squids reproduce? The male octopus uses a specialized arm called a hectocotylus to transfer sperm to the mantle cavity of a receptive female. The female lays strings of fertilized eggs on the roof of her den. She guards, cleans and aerates the eggs with water expelled from her siphon until hatching. This can be anywhere from 30 days to a year, depending on the species. The female may build a wall of rocks to seal off the den and will remain in the den until just before she dies, after the eggs have hatched. Squids often mate in large groups, and attach their egg capsules to the ocean floor or to seaweed. Most adult octopuses and squid die after reproducing. Their bodies are recycled in the food web, nourishing other animals, and ultimately providing food for their young when they hatch. (Octopuses ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Use of Energy by the Human Body Throughout a normal day, the body uses glucose in the form of energy. The glucose that the body uses is attained from carbohydrates that one receives from a meal eaten during the day. However, when glucose begins to run out, especially if a person is rigorously exercising, and is not restocked, the body must use its energy supplies, glycogen. Glycogen is one of the most important polysaccharides in the human body. It is the body s stored energy; with the highest storing sites being the muscles and liver. Glycogen is important to the liver because it is able to provide a backup supply of glucose so that blood glucose concentration is maintained at a sufficient level to supply the brain during times of starvation. Glycogen s function in sustaining blood glucose levels is imperative because glucose is essentially the only fuel source used by the brain. The primary function of muscle glycogen is to supply fuel for the contraction of the muscles during exercise. However, insufficient amount of glycogen in the liver and muscles can lead to numerous diseases, diseases like Glycogen Storage Disorders (GSD). Glycogen synthesis and breakdown occur by distinctive pathways that are catalyzed by different enzymes. Glycogen phosphorylation involves three steps: the first is the release of glucose 1 phosphate from glycogen, then altering of the glycogen substrate to allow additional phosphorylation, and last is the conversion of glucose 1 phosphate to glucose 6 phosphate. In Allan Bennett s, The History Boys, controversial teachers hector and Irwin are made out as one hero and the other a villain. The ability to be able to distinguish these complex characters as a hero, a person who is admired for their admirable nature; or a villain, who s immoral and erroneous actions characterise them distinctly; is irrelevant as they both harbour characteristics seen as desirable and distasteful. Both Hector and Irwin display qualities characteristic of being both a hero and villain, therefore neither being solely one or the other. Hector and Irwin are neither solely a hero or villain as they both commit actions that are typical of being a tragic Hero (Hector) and an Anti hero (Irwin). Hector can be seen as the Hero in this play as his want for his students to be enriched by education portrays him as a cool and revered mentor. To become this figure that appeals to the audience, hector s teaching style is portrayed as irrelevant, interesting and energetic. Irrelevance is affirmed by his use of French in the comedic prostitute scene (p12 19). The use of the French language in the dialogue is used to convey how connected the boys and Hector are. The next thing that needs to be analyzed about the annual budget of Bridgestone for next year would be the break even point. As discussed, break even point is the point where the revenues and expenses are equal and thus, will have a zero profit. To put it simply, companies should always set their budgeted volume of sales above the break even point if they want to be profitable. And they should also do their best to meet the break even point because if the volume of sales is less than the break even point, companies are sure to experiences losses which might affect the entire company and its employees. An example of this is when Hamlet says: In the rank sweat of an enseamented bed Stew d (3.4 . l. 93 96) It is possible that here Shakespeare wanted to show how Hamlet s rage brought out all his repressed sexually desires for his mother because of Hamlet s concentration on Gertrude s sex life. Women face sexual objectification everyday and Shange, in her novel For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide, takes several women from ambiguous backgrounds to reiterate the challenges a woman faces in trying to maintain agency over her body through the ubiquitous nature of sexual objectification and its ability to perpetuate gender violence. The first introduction we experience from the women is their challenge with sexuality and embracing their bodies. The graduation story is a story about a black girl who feels sexually liberated after losing her virginity. The poem ends with the line, in the backseat of that ol buick/wow//by daybreak/ I just couldn t stop grinnin (Shange 8). Early childhood abuse and the effects on emotional development Abstract The present research is aimed at providing an account of early childhood abuse and its effects on further emotional development. A first focus falls on outlining the psychological stages of emotional development and the notion of emotional response, followed by a thorough analysis of the child abuse spectrum together with effects, both early and belated, of general and most notably socio emotional nature. Firstly, the meaning of emotional regulation and Erik Erikson s theory of eight stages of development are depicted, with special emphasis on early childhood. This is done for the purpose of underlining the importance of regular emotional development as opposed to one impaired by abuse. Secondly, stress falls on describing and classifying child abuse and its prevalence in children under six years of age. After a brief outline of the areas in which a victim is challenged, focus shifts onward to specific emotional and social drawbacks that ensue. A more in depth account of this matter follows, enlisting Alan Schore s right brain correlations, an analysis based on the phenomenon of dissociation, and other probable prospects for the victim. The conclusions venture a realistic overview on the aspect of early childhood abuse and its outcomes. Development of a person throughout his or her whole lifetime can be seen either as a continuous process or as a final status to be attained. Psychologists agree ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Lust and the Degeneration of Man Exposed in Shakespeare s 129th Sonnet Love in its purest form is the most unsurpassable of all emotions, requiring intense commitment, while simultaneously providing incomparable bliss. However, often the intense desire for these feelings produces a new emotion, lust, with a craving that gives priority to obtaining an objectified person, as opposed to a very real human. Lust can be further practically defined as the inability to place selfless love on a higher pedestal than selfish desire. Shakespeare explores these conflicting definitions of lust in his 129th sonnet, condemning his animalistic variations of lust that coexist with his desire for a genuine state of love. As opposed to following the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When juxtaposed with the opening line, an inappropriate form of lust is a waste of the vitality that a person can give to the world in the form of intellect. In accordance with this natural tendency, the tone of the first half of the sonnet is most definitely savage (Martin 5), supported by the words bloody...murderous, which brings about the connotation of a fierce creature of nature with only the desire to quench the physical thirst. These first lines support the wild tendencies by comparing Shakespeare s initial action of lust to the first defense (Vendler 551) of an animal, partial to primitively impulsive behavior. The speaker is trying to erase his guilt when his rationality as a man should advise a reformation of his reasons for love. Throughout the sonnet, there is a continuous reference, more technically, a conceit of the hunt that further enhances the image of animals in their natural setting, uninhibited by society s rules. Some critics have gone so far as to contest that Shakespeare mocks primitive lust. However, its sole presence is quite pitiful, for the speaker is unable to grasp a greater level of satisfaction that is everlasting, not ephemeral. The distinction between selflessness and selfishness is one that separates the human from the savage animal, although these opposing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
