The World s Best Quality Shipping Port
More than 2,000 years ago, the Western Han Dynasty in ancient China was prosperous and people
wanted to expand to the west side of the county. The king sent one of his diplomat along with about
130 people to explore the west side of the country. They went as far as the middle east and the road
later on was named Silk Road, which represents that during that time, Chinese would carry their silk
and trade with other countries. This road was not only famous for its history but also famous for its
culture. It was the very first road that connected ancient China with other countries and it was the first
time cultures were introduced to one another. (Silk Road, 2017)

the World Shipping Council ranked Top 50 World Container Ports, and within the top 10 ports, 7 of
them are ports located in China as we can see from figure 1.2. In only 30 years, China s economy is
vastly growing and it hit the world s second largest economy. China now is a market that every
company wants to enter and it is amazing to see the changes. Much of the country s wealth comes
from trade that it even has a nickname of the world s factory . From t shirts to oil and coal, China s
vast natural resources and government support in economy turned impossible into possible. Cheap
labor cost as one of the factors that draw attention to international companies. In recent years,
technology has become one of the biggest impact to China s society. (Huijiong Yan, 2012)

With all the advanced developments and fast growing economy, China has realized the importance of
ports and now with the government s support, it is building a hub port city. Generally, a hub port is an
international shipping port that has the ability to distribute goods after they are arrived in port either
through ocean, river or trains. For example, Shanghai is one of the major cities in China that has the
biggest financial, trade and industrial center. However, it wasn t until 1990 that Pudong New Area was

Challenges Facing The United States
There will be significant challenges facing the United States in the next 10 years regarding strategic
threats and global security. The three overlapping types of conflicts which will dictate future wars,
challenge government agencies, and force all branches of the Armed Forces to restructure their
formations are Wars of Silicon, Iron, and Shadow. The four U.S. Services will need to rebalance, be
adaptive, implement strategic agility, and reprioritize their programs to meet specific security issues
posed by these conflicts. Diverse adversaries will employ traditional, unconventional, and hybrid
strategies to threaten U.S. National Security. Joint Forces by 2025 will need to be leaner,
technologically superior, and expeditionary to support Combatant Commanders so; they can win in
full spectrum operations and defend U.S. national interests at home and overseas. These new and
adaptive Defense strategies will require making profound choices due to budget constraints and
Sequestration. There are significant risks associated with these choices, which will require
implementing stringent control measure to mitigate those risks. The Wars of Iron, Silicon, and Shadow
are shaping strategic interest for the U.S. at home and abroad; in addition will force government
agencies to make tough financial and strategic decision, which could significantly influence National
Military Strategy for years. The United States must design an innovative readiness and investment

Growing Up In Poverty In The United States
Poverty is the condition of being without adequate food or money. American Psychological
Association (MLA): Poverty is not having enough money to have the basic necessities in life. It is an
issue within the United States and the world. There are many children that grow up in poverty and the
effects can last throughout the life. When growing up in poverty there can be high risk of teen
pregnancy, poor heath, crime, Drug use and a lack of education. (Boyden)
Poverty and poor health worldwide are inseparably related. Poor health is a direct effect of growing up
in poverty; as children living in low economic families may not have access to adequate medical
health coverage. Which means the child will not have proper immunization and checkup that they
need to ensure good health. Studies show when a child grows up in poverty the child can be
underweight (Boyden). Poor under lined illness may also lead to issues throughout a lifespan. Poverty
increases neglect of health issues. That causes more health problems which ends in death. Statistics
also show that living in poor rule areas, with low quality schools. Even if the parents are highly
educated and employed, the employment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Three Activities in Human Resource Management
Three Activities in Human Resource Management
Introduction
With the process of globalization and internationalization, multinational firms develop rapidly. What
is the multinational firm? It should be called multinational corporation (MNCs) which is more
academic. An MNC is a company physically active in more than one country, like McDonald, Nestle,
Ford etc.
General speaking, Human Resource Management plays an essential role for an enterprise, especially
for a multinational enterprise. What is Human Resource Management? Noe et al. (2006: 5) defined
HRM that HRM refers to the policies, practices and systems that influence employee behavior,
attitudes and performance in order to support business goals and objectives while Dowling ... Show

Therefore, in general, the majority of employees are HCNs while the senior managers are PCNs and
TCNs in the earlier operation of a subsidiary. In the process of local development of subsidiaries, the
system of operation become mature and HCNs become more familiar for companies policies,
methods, technology and management etc. so it is necessary and brilliant to expand the space of
promotions for HCNs in the late operation. That is to say, increasing the proportion of HCNs in the
senior managers in the late operation can bring lots of benefits for company. For example, it will cut
down the cost efficiently and motivate the local staff to work harder significantly.
The second HR activity is about compensation and benefits. Firstly, this HR activity for multinational
firms involves different currencies and stability of currencies. With the fluctuation of exchange rates, a
foreign currency may appreciate or depreciate, which bring more risk for multinational firms. Also,
with the diversity of nations and cultures, the institution of compensation may vary from parent
company to subsidiary. For example, different countries have different price levels, which lead to
different wage levels. Lastly, according to three categories of employees, the compensation and
benefits are different. Compensation is a key factor to increase satisfaction of staff and job
performance. The main problem about compensation and

Banning Concealed Carry
There were 372 mass shootings in the US in 2015, killing 475 people and wounding 1,870 (MST).
Guns are not a bad thing, it s the people carrying them. That is why I think there should be Gun
control that does not abuse the power of the rightfully armed. Stronger regulations are okay, but they
should not violate the Second Amendment. All states should have carry laws allowing concealed carry
in all states, while banning open carry of guns. Why should open carry should be banned? Because it
could be considered flourishing a gun. For example, Texas is now allowing open carry. Patrik Jonsson,
a staff writer at Student Issue Research (SIR), reports that Police are discouraged from even asking
about someone s holstered gun. If they do, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Open carry should be banned in all states because you re practically flourishing your gun for
everyone, including criminals, to see all the time. With concealed carry, you re required to provide a
permit showing you are legally carrying, However, with open carry an officer can walk up and ask for
your gun permit, but can do little if they refuse. Open carry could allow a mass murderer or a terrorist
to walk in public with a weapon and gather little suspicion from nearby people. Concealed carry is not
visible to others. In a state with open carry, your gun could be snatched out of a open holster. In a state
that allows concealed carry, who s going to know you have a gun? Guns are weapons of self defense,
not toys to flourish to the public eye. Guns don t kill people, people kill people. This is why we should
have tighter regulations on guns. Again, my opinion is that concealed carry should be allowed in all
states. In addition, all states should have carry rules and open carry should be banned. We can try stop
mass shootings, but not by restricting the average person s gun rights. We can stop some of the killing,
but let s not make the righteous

Flannery O Connor story Everything that Rises Must Converge consists of different relations between
two different nations, customs, traditions and thoughts. The story talks about the relationship between
two different nations in the same country which every nation has her own traditions, cultures, and
thoughts. The writer presents the story Julian and his mother s, how they re both have dissimilar ideas
and personality and how both of them has dissimilar thoughts. The story reveals how these two kinds
of cultures coexist with each other, and how they thoughts about each other. In my essay, I will discuss
the relations between different characters according to the story. One of these relations is between
Julian mother s and her son. Julian s mother is a white American citizen, believes that whites and

Introduction
For days, months, years, even decades, the conflict between Israel and Palestine has raged, leaving
thousands of dead in its wake. The Jewish people once lived in the land now known as either Israel or
Palestine. They were forced out in 70 A.D. in what is now known as the Jewish Diaspora after
attempting a revolt against the Romans that, in hindsight, was probably not a good idea. Who replaced
the Jews? Once the Jews were gone, the Palestinians took over the land and lived there until 1948, ...

This proves that Israel is a valid place for a Jewish state because God has promised Israel to Abraham
and his descendants. Reason Wrap Up In short, one of the reasons Israel was created as a Jewish state
in 1948 is that in their scriptures say that they have been promised Israel by God. International support
There are two great reasons Zionism or International Support back up the creation of Israel that I will
explain to you, but I m sure there are plenty more. First evidence The people kept faith with [Israel]
throughout their Dispersion (Diaspora) and never ceased to hope and pray for their return to it, as said
in Document B. This shows that Israelis have always wanted to return and have kept the dream alive
and have historical ties to Israel. Second evidence Also, quoted from Document B is the evidence, The
United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish state in
Eretz Israel. Eretz Israel, by the way, is just Israel by a different name. Moving on, this proves that
Israel should have been created as a Jewish state in 1948

Federalist No. 10 Argument
The primary source is Federalist paper No. 10, which is a the first of James Madison s contributions to
the series of essays known as the Federalist Papers. This essay is a highly regarded paper among the
collection. The Federalist No. 10 is merely rhetoric used to rationalize the benefits of a new system of
government, explain how the new union will be constructed and most crucial to the essay, sway public
opinion to support the ratification of the new constitution. This particular primary source is imperative
to understanding the complexity of the United States government at the time of its birth as well as
now. Madison makes an argument that the expansion of the federal government is necessary to protect
liberty against the excess of democracy. The document reveals the advantages of a Republic and
serves as an explanation as to why the U.S. espouses a Republican form of government and the
Constitution. Madison starts perhaps the most prominent of the Federalist papers by stating that one of
the most effective arguments in favor of the Constitution is the fact that it forms a ... Show more

As long as there is liberty, different opinions and factions will form. Madison simply wishes to
establish a system in which the detrimental effects of factions on the whole government are reduced
and kept in check. He argues that a pure democracy cannot mitigate the threats of factions and that
only a republic can. He believes that a system of government that allow every citizen to vote directly
for laws is dangerous as common people s decisions are affected by their self interest, instead he
advocates a different form of government in which citizens elect a small body of representatives who
then vote for laws. Madison s trust in a republic is fueled and bolstered by his lack of confidence in
the people s capacity to make well informed

Teleological Argument Analysis
The argument of choice that I ve decided to use is the argument for design (Teleological argument)
which states that complex objects themselves can very well prove the existence of powerful creator or
a God. The Teleological argument tries to simplify the idea with a watchmaker stating that all the
constantly moving cogs and devices in the watch prove the existence of a higher intelligence which is
something incomprehensible that any organism could perceive in the present life. This leads to the
idea of an uncaused causer since God is presumed to be the first entity that was able to put forth the
universe in an ongoing motion of time. Everything in the watch is meant to represent the universe,
planets, stars, and living organisms at work and in motion. The premise of this argument is
demonstrated through the claim of God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the famous criticisms of the Teleological argument is that just because the Watch exists doesn t
necessarily proves that it has order since the idea of order is imposed by the human s definition of
pandemonium. Even if the universe if it was concluded that order was a part of our creation, the
analogy could not be fully plausible since the human race has no instances of any sort of universes
being created by a supernatural entity. Lastly, if the analogy came to acceptance, we would only be
able to see so much intelligence and good will as the horizon allow us. If the universe, specifically the
earth, grew as a plant of some kind then it broadcasts imperfections due to all the evil and suffering
that takes place throughout the entirety of the earth and its residents. The reconciliation of evil stands
to be the largest opposition in the face of an Omni benevolent God. I believe that the criticisms of the
teleological arguments are well stated since the thought of a universe having a purpose or order seems
to be irrelevant in my own point of

Marie Curie s Accomplishments
1. Marie Curie: Not only did Marie Curie have a relentless drive to fuel her research on chemistry and
physics despite an initial lack of funding, but she practiced admirable humility by famously refusing

continues to maintain a strong legacy today in the form of two elements, Curium and Polonium, and

The Power Of Louisa May Alcott
As stated by intellectual Joseph Wong, influence is our inner ability to lift people up to our
perspectives (Young Ch. 6). Throughout history, numerous writers have utilized their ability to impact
their readers to encourage their audience to follow the author s principles and beliefs. Louisa May
Alcott, born in Pennsylvania in 1832, was the type of writer to use her power to influence her lectors
views on the topics and issues that she was passionate about. Alcott s father, Amos Bronson Alcott,
was a writer, lecturer, and educator, and her mother, Abba May, was a strong willed and independent
woman and bright educator. Her brilliant parents helped Alcott grow to be an intellectual, an
independent female, and, as mentioned by Clark Moreland in one of his lectures, ...a dark headed,
volatile, and energetic child ( Lecture 3.4... ). After her parents fell into deep debt, Alcott began to
work to support her family. She served as a seamstress, teacher, and, of course, a writer. As an open
minded individual, Alcott was an advocate of many causes and policies, and, through her
compositions, she shared her beliefs to guide her readers towards integrating her ideals into their lives.
For instance, in 1863, Alcott released her work My Contraband, first titled The Brothers. The piece
featured a Civil War nurse, Faith Dane, in the Union side who was in charge of caring for a captured,
dying Confederate captain and had a mulatto contraband, a slave who escaped to the Union side,

English As A Waste Of Time Essay
I always have had a passion for English so it was no surprise to my family and friends when I chose to
pursue a degree in English Literature and minor in Education. Many view an emphasis in English as a
waste of time or a risky major, but actually it can be very successful. When you graduate, you can
incorporate, but do not have to limit yourself to teaching or editorial careers. Ever since I graduated I
have been involved in two job functions that have incorporated my English degree in several ways.
Using English as a Logistics Coordinator My first job was at a national window shutters and blinds
company that imported home furnishings from Asia and distributed them to home improvement stores
here in the US. The company heavily emphasized customer service here in the US along with
communicating with their agents in Asia. I was told that I primarily hired because my English degree
would provide the company with a better communication tool. I primarily dealt with domestic
customer service and was responsible with producing the weekly and monthly reports on our company
s status. Good grammar and spelling were very essential in these reports since any incorrect
information could misconstrue the data and reflect poorly on upper management s presentation. Many
employees appreciated my expertise and I was even offered a job by my boss to tutor his children in
English. Using English as a Purchasing Agent My second and current job is working as a purchasing

Use Of Mood In Ray Bradbury s Marionettes, Inc.
Throughout Ray Bradbury s work, the common topic appears to be technology and its negatives,
warning of how it is slowly and silently consuming the lives of many. Thusly, the mood mustn t be
joyful or encouraging, but rather eerie, mysterious, and unsettling; otherwise, the story s effect would
be tarnished and mismatched. Therefore, one of the most important things writers must take into
consideration is how this mood will be communicated subtly throughout the story, as one cannot just
state that something is sad or happy, for this would not fully engross the reader. Rather, one of the
main ways authors tend to enforce the mood and tone of the story is through diction, one of the main
reasons Bradbury s pieces, such as The Veldt or Marionettes, ... Show more content on

For example, Braling describes his marionette as natural as natural is, able to eat, sleep, perspire
everything (Braling 215). This is directly comparative to how the room was described in The Veldt,
with both the marionettes and the room being nearly indistinguishable from the real things they
represent, with one small flaw, the ticking of the heart and the doorway respectively. In addition, the
marionette is almost always referred to as a foreign invader, someone not welcome but taking over
anyway, being called a shade, (Bradbury 213) creature, (Bradbury 218) specimen, (Braling 219) or
just someone (Bradbury 221). Being unknown and unwelcome, this is something the reader is
naturally afraid of, supplementing the already thick feeling of uneasiness and anxiety in the writing.
Even the sound of the marionettes chests enforces this anxiety and worry, giving off a Tick tick tick
tick tick tick tick tick. (Bradbury 214) akin to a bomb about to explode, enforcing the anxious mood
and building up to how the creation of these marionettes metaphorically explodes back at the
characters. Furthermore, throughout the story, the author uses words of hesitation, fear, and,
sometimes, harsh force to further weave the thread of uneasiness, such as staggered, appalled,
(Bradbury 214) tremble, (Bradbury 215) crushing, bruised, (Bradbury 216) ached, cracked, groaned,
(Bradbury 217) shivered, collapsed, fever, disillusionment, (Bradbury 218) and metal firm grip,
(Bradbury 220). In summary, both stories use diction in a similar way, using fearful and shocking
words interspersed to create a constant anxious and unsettling mood, the reader always unknowing of

The Effects Of Carbon Dioxide During The Industrial...
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a type of odorless and colorless gas that can be either manmade or naturally
made. Carbon dioxide is a vital greenhouse gas; in moderation. Since the beginning of the Industrial
Revolution, the concentration of carbon dioxide has increased significantly. The concentration of
carbon dioxide in the air is leading to global warming, ocean acidification and a multitude of many
problems. In a report released from NASA, the scientist state that that human made carbon dioxide
(CO2) continues to increase above levels not seen in hundreds of thousands of years: currently, about
half of the carbon dioxide released from the burning of fossil fuels remains in the atmosphere and is
not absorbed by vegetation and the oceans . The current assessment of carbon dioxide in the air is 402
parts per million (ppm). One PPM is equivalent to one microgram/one kilogram (0.6 of a mile).

This is called carbon dioxide scrubbing. According to Jaunsen JR (US Naval Academy Technical
Report), he states that any hydroxide or anything with a strong base will essentially scrub carbon
dioxide right out of the air . This includes sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, lithium hydroxide
and lithium peroxide. It is able to scrub carbon dioxide by chemically reacting with it. The simplified
process is that the CO2 is absorbed into the solution turning it into dissolved sodium carbonate. From
there the dissolved sodium carbonate can be easily extracted and the oxygen returned. Currently, the
only technology that is being evaluated seriously is called amine scrubbing. This technology primarily
uses monoethanolamine but has been repeatedly rejected due to it high cost of installing and

Monasticism And Intellectual L Essay example
Religious and intellectual institutions underwent significant changes throughout the middle ages. In
some cases, advances were made, and in others, there was a major decline. Through all of these times,
the people of the middle ages learned what didn t work, what did, and how to progress once they
found what did work.
The true form of monasticism in the western Christian church was founded by Saint Benedict of
Nursia. He wrote the famous quot;Benedict s Rule quot; between 520 530. The fundamentals of the
rule was that each day was divided into a series of activities with an emphasis on prayer and manual
labor. The monks would all gather together seven times each day for prayer. These were all male ...

church from heresy. The Dominicans established schools and also had a representative government for
themselves. These were both all male orders, but new establishments for women, called Beguines,

menial jobs. They took no religious vows, however, and were free to leave as they pleased. They were

The Stanford Prison Experiment And Group Think
Zhijie Zhu ENG 104 Mr. Crosetti 22/Sept/2015 A Discussion of The Stanford Prison Experiment and
Group Think Group think is a phenomenon that occurs when group s need for consensus supersedes
the judgment of individual group members. Group think often occurs when there is a time constraint
and individuals put aside personal doubts so a project can move forward or when one member of the
group dominates the decision making process. In the article The Stanford Prison Experiment , the
author Philip Zimbardo tells an experiment that ran by a professor who wants to find how could a
prison environment influence people in it. According to what the authors describes, the experiment is
getting more and more out of control. Prisoners are getting tame and keepers are getting bossy which
forces the team to stop the experiment in 6 days instead of 14 days. At the end, the author claims his
idea about the experiment that he is surprised by how people can change in a special environment. As
for me, this article gives me an idea that in some special situation, such as the prison environment in
this article, groupthink is something unavoidable and uncontrollable. In The Stanford Prison
Experiment , the cause of groupthink is a prison environment which gives some people absolute
power while other people have to obey the domination. There followed a reading of the 16 basic rules

Pocket Shark Research Paper
Second Possible Specimen of Pocket Shark Discovered
Sharks are some of the world s most dangerous and efficient predators, known for dominating the
oceans for millions of years. Thanks to movie classics like Jaws they are often exclusively perceived
as large, powerful, killing machines, but the truth is sharks come in a wide range of shapes and sizes.
Recently, scientists found the carcass of what s considered the smallest shark in the world. The
distinctive pocket shark was discovered off the Gulf Coast, and is the second specimen ever found.
It s called a pocket shark not because it can fit in your pocket, but because this rare species (known by
the scientific community as Mollisquama) come equipped with two pockets next to its front fins.
Information about this rare shark find was recently published in Zootaxa, and researchers at the
Biodiversity Institute at Tulane University worked with representatives from NOAA to positively

Pros And Cons Of Sina Weibo
INTRODUCTION
Sina Weibo (hereinafter referred as Weibo) is a microblog in China that is akin to a hybrid of Twitter
and Facebook . It is one of the most popular social media platform is China which has 600 million
registered users in 2013 and 76.6 million daily users in 2014 . The vast number of users allows faster

traditional media did not offer (Chang, 2013). Weibo has formed a lively virtual public space

They use Weibo to post their social concerns and comment about government policies. Consistent
friction exists between the government and the citizens over sensitive topics. The government
aggressively steps in only when it considers the issue to be potential for social instability. In addition,
the Chinese are more conservative in terms of going against the government as they do not want to
risk themselves. Therefore, Weibo is used as a platform for Chinese citizens to give pressure on the
government in hope for better and more transparent governance. Physical social movements are less
likely to happen because of government censorship and the individual s less willing to take risk

voices may harm the government as public anger may eventually burst into uncontrollable outrage.
Thus, the government has to cooperate with the Chinese citizens through Weibo as their resentment

Social Blindness
Authorial figures for many years, in many countries have been brain washing citizens. Social
blindness, the misuse of technology, and individuality all have to do with a society becoming totally
blind. The societies do not understand that their so called leaders who run their country are
indoctrinating their lives. A society becomes blind by authorial figures brainwashing citizens into
thinking all the wrong attributes are right, thus leading to a society with bigger problems than before.
To begin, social blindness is a way humans become blind folded to the worldly, economic problems in
the world. This problem of social blindness is not only displayed in the book, by Ayn Rand, Anthem,
but also in the modern day country of North Korea. In the documentary by National Geographic about
North Korea, it is stated that no one has control over their own lives, everything is dictated by their
supreme leader, Kim Jong un. He controls over the whole country. His policy is communism. Similar
to the book Anthem, he makes everyone believe how he rules is how it is supposed to be. That is
wrong. He rules as almost a God like dictator. This has been going on for so many years, it is normal
for the people of North Korea, thus making them socially blind to the all the wrong attributes set forth
by Kim Jong un. This verifies the idea of citizens being indoctrinated because of authorial figures and
the inhuman ways they rule. They rule as a person who is way higher or above the citizens of

Stalin used propaganda as a tool to brainwash the Russian people to think he was a man of character,

the public and the clouding of their judgment. The public was brainwashed by Stalin s manipulative

knowledge onto their children. This is also known as word of mouth; parents taught their children that
Stalin was the wisest man of the age; teachers told their students that Stalin was the wisest man of the

ways to spread his advertisements: posters, art, literature, film, news, education, and youth groups.
(Kral) Adults absorbed most of this propaganda, since it was in the news, on posters in the streets and
in films, Stalin did not have to focus too much on the older generations. However, he did focus on the
youth and children of the era, because they were the next generation of businessmen and military men.

the largest trading partner for Brazil since 2009 with value about US$36bn (EIU, 2010).
One of the important factors of the growth in China and Brazil as BRIC countries is Foreign Direct

The Negro Speaks Of Rivers Essay
Slavery has influenced how people of African descent went forth and lived life. In the poem The
Negro Speaks of Rivers , Langston Hughes tells a story of the black man s journey to America while
trying to hold on to his past. Hughes uses imagery and tone to create a picture that illustrated racial
pride and dignity. Phillis Wheatley, On Being Brought from Africa to America describes the positivity
of being an American slave and the perks of Christianity. The major theme that runs throughout these
two poems are how someone views their own race. Though each poem is set around the same time
period, we can see two different effects of slavery and it could change in an person. Wheatley s On
Being Brought from Africa to America has a lot of literary devices within it and reading it out loud
really helps you find them. There is some end rhyme like eye die ; land understand ; and cain train .
Lines 7 and 8 shows a heroic couplet; Remember, Christians, Negros, black as Cain,/ May be refin d,
and join th angelic train. Another big literary device that could not be overlooked is personification. In
the first line of the poem, the speaker personifies mercy . The speaker is using the term mercy in a
biblical notion and in that sense mercy could not have physically picked the speaker up and carry him
or her over to America. In Langston Hughes The Negro speaks of Rivers , the speaker sets a tone
while makes a connect between him and the earth he lived on.

Process Flow Diagram
Process Analysis using Cost and Capacity
A: Cost Analysis
Budget for the Hospital: $ 2.8 million
Budget for the clinic: $2 million
Therefore, Total Budget = Budget for the Hospital+ Budget for the clinic = $2.8 million + $2 million =
$ 4.8 million
Number of operations per year = 6850 (considering the same as for the year, 1982)
Therefore average cost per operation = $4.8 million/6850 = $701
Total charge to the patient = Hospital stay + Surgical fee + Assistant surgeon fee + Anesthetic fee =
111*4 + 450 + 60 +75 = $1029
Net profit per patient = $(1029 701) = $328
B: Capacity Analysis
The critical resources in this case are:
• Number of operation theatres
• Number of hospital beds
• Number of staff (including surgeons, assistant surgeons and nurses)
These resources are tabulated as under:
Resource name Availability Max. capacity per week

That is why I think there should be Gun control that does not abuse the power of the rightfully armed. Stronger regulations are okay, but they should not violate the Second Amendment. All states should have carry laws allowing concealed carry in all states, while banning open carry of guns. Why should open carry should be banned? Because it could be considered flourishing a gun. With concealed carry, you re required to provide a permit showing you are legally carrying, However, with open carry an officer can walk up and ask for your gun permit, but can do little if they refuse. Open carry could allow a mass murderer or a terrorist to walk in public with a weapon and gather little suspicion from nearby people. Concealed carry is not visible to others. • 13. Teleological Argument Analysis The argument of choice that I ve decided to use is the argument for design (Teleological argument) which states that complex objects themselves can very well prove the existence of powerful creator or a God. The Teleological argument tries to simplify the idea with a watchmaker stating that all the constantly moving cogs and devices in the watch prove the existence of a higher intelligence which is something incomprehensible that any organism could perceive in the present life. This leads to the idea of an uncaused causer since God is presumed to be the first entity that was able to put forth the universe in an ongoing motion of time. Everything in the watch is meant to represent the universe, planets, stars, and living organisms at work and in motion. The premise of this argument is demonstrated through the claim of God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the famous criticisms of the Teleological argument is that just because the Watch exists doesn t necessarily proves that it has order since the idea of order is imposed by the human s definition of pandemonium. Lastly, if the analogy came to acceptance, we would only be able to see so much intelligence and good will as the horizon allow us. If the universe, specifically the earth, grew as a plant of some kind then it broadcasts imperfections due to all the evil and suffering that takes place throughout the entirety of the earth and its residents. The reconciliation of evil stands to be the largest opposition in the face of an Omni benevolent God. Throughout Ray Bradbury s work, the common topic appears to be technology and its negatives, warning of how it is slowly and silently consuming the lives of many. Thusly, the mood mustn t be joyful or encouraging, but rather eerie, mysterious, and unsettling; otherwise, the story s effect would be tarnished and mismatched. Therefore, one of the most important things writers must take into consideration is how this mood will be communicated subtly throughout the story, as one cannot just state that something is sad or happy, for this would not fully engross the reader. Rather, one of the main ways authors tend to enforce the mood and tone of the story is through diction, one of the main reasons Bradbury s pieces, such as The Veldt or Marionettes, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, Braling describes his marionette as natural as natural is, able to eat, sleep, perspire everything (Braling 215). This is directly comparative to how the room was described in The Veldt, with both the marionettes and the room being nearly indistinguishable from the real things they represent, with one small flaw, the ticking of the heart and the doorway respectively. In addition, the marionette is almost always referred to as a foreign invader, someone not welcome but taking over anyway, being called a shade, (Bradbury 213) creature, (Bradbury 218) specimen, (Braling 219) or just someone (Bradbury 221). Being unknown and unwelcome, this is something the reader is naturally afraid of, supplementing the already thick feeling of uneasiness and anxiety in the writing. The Stanford Prison Experiment And Group Think Zhijie Zhu ENG 104 Mr. Crosetti 22/Sept/2015 A Discussion of The Stanford Prison Experiment and Group Think Group think is a phenomenon that occurs when group s need for consensus supersedes the judgment of individual group members. Group think often occurs when there is a time constraint and individuals put aside personal doubts so a project can move forward or when one member of the group dominates the decision making process. In the article The Stanford Prison Experiment , the author Philip Zimbardo tells an experiment that ran by a professor who wants to find how could a prison environment influence people in it. According to what the authors describes, the experiment is getting more and more out of control. Prisoners are getting tame and keepers are getting bossy which forces the team to stop the experiment in 6 days instead of 14 days. • 28. Social Blindness Authorial figures for many years, in many countries have been brain washing citizens. Social blindness, the misuse of technology, and individuality all have to do with a society becoming totally blind. The societies do not understand that their so called leaders who run their country are indoctrinating their lives. A society becomes blind by authorial figures brainwashing citizens into thinking all the wrong attributes are right, thus leading to a society with bigger problems than before. To begin, social blindness is a way humans become blind folded to the worldly, economic problems in the world. This problem of social blindness is not only displayed in the book, by Ayn Rand, Anthem, but also in the modern day country of North Korea. In the documentary by National Geographic about North Korea, it is stated that no one has control over their own lives, everything is dictated by their supreme leader, Kim Jong un. He controls over the whole country. His policy is communism. Similar to the book Anthem, he makes everyone believe how he rules is how it is supposed to be. That is wrong. He rules as almost a God like dictator. This has been going on for so many years, it is normal for the people of North Korea, thus making them socially blind to the all the wrong attributes set forth by Kim Jong un.
